[Perhaps the refrigerator cycled at the exact same moment that someone started reheating some of that sorry excuse we have for moon food. Maybe at that exact moment, the power grid strained from bringing another section of the base into life supporting function. Maybe at that exact moment ALL OF THOSE THINGS HAPPENED AT ONCE.


Whatever actually happened, the lights flicker and go dark, leaving only the hallway illumination, and your stomach twists as gravity loses a bit of a grip on you.

You're not FLOATING, but neither are you quite as heavy as you used to be.]

[Mercifully missing the ridiculous sins high scores, Rosette instead slowly drifts down into a seat across from Kevin and simply turns off his tablet. ALL THAT LOST!!!



Before he has a chance to protest, she pulls out her own well worn deck and starts shuffling with obviously practiced skill. The low gravity makes the card fall a little slow, but not too wild to manage.]

[Kevin, who was about to protest the loss of his beautiful sins scores, notices something weird about the way the cards move, but he dismisses that as a result of gambling-deprivation and post-nuclear attack delirium.

The most important thing is: Rosette has a real deck.

[And it's laying out a real blackjack arrangement in front of him. She holds the cards down to the table a second after snapping them down, just in case. His side: a three face up. Hers: a Jack.]

Behold the super INTENSE STARES of people handling shabby paper decks as if they were sacred shuriken of DOOM.]

[Her eyes seem to glint and it is as if the entire weight that had been lost in the room focuses on the atmosphere around these two people. She sets a finger down on top of the stack of cards.]
