she took me back and stitched me up
Date & Time: 9th October and onwards
Location: Clinic
Characters: Donny & open
Summary: follow-on from this network post, but your character doesn't have to have replied to that in order to drop by and give him info or whatever!
(annnnnd eventually it might just turn into a catch-all for later October logs? idk.)
Warnings: Depression, potential mention of death, murder and horribly injuries. Will edit as necessary and feel free to give me a heads up if you'd like to avoid any particular topics in our thread! c:
( Or, perhaps more accurately, the location is really "the place that is being constructed into a clinic." Though he spent a few days dedicated to fiddling in the VR room, he has his retreat there fixed, and there are more important things to focus on. The majority of the time he's in the clinic.
A. Fixing thing up. Right now, hiding his magic seems stupid, rather than helpful, and he's very carefully using his ability to manipulate metal to make the most of the materials that they have, reconfiguring the space to allow for maximum bed space, reinforcing the doorway, making a space for back up generators. There is zero meddling with the external structure, though, because that would obviously just be a really bad idea.
B. Paperwork - working on an inventory, working on patient records, going over notes for appropriate treatment for non-human Transports, trying to organize the (admittedly limited) medical texts that he lugged up on the flight. Save him from this plan or alternatively come and give him more stuff to... file or whatever.
C. Treating people - WHAT DID YOU DO. WHAT DID YOU DO.
Seriously though, what did you do because he needs to know so he can patch you up.
D. - idk man you guys probably have more ideas than I do )

Should the door to all the medicine really be that easy to open? [ Like, seriously, all Donny did was walk at it! ] Uh, staying asleep.
no subject
N-no allergies?
( And, with an apologetic look at Caesar. ) Still w-working on uh, m-medical record stuff.
no subject
[ Medical treatment between worlds is different enough that he has no idea what he's even asking for. No one's ever posed such a question before in relation to it to him, so...
Donny gets a curious look for that as well as the nod towards the door, but then Caesar shrugs and steps up to the door to try opening it. It doesn't budge and that gets a frown. He jiggles it a few more times, putting some effort into it, but... ]
What...? Okay, so maybe it isn't so easy.

( Flipping through a couple of pages, before he finds what he was looking for, and returns to the door, pulling it open, again with no key. )
M-metal magic. Other p-people n-need-- need a k-key. We have a register for who'll have access.
( Since right now the list is not many people. )
no subject
Oh. You're that Donny guy, aren't you? [ The stammering takes a moment to decipher, though, and it isn't something he lets go by without some comment. ] No wonder you stuck to text.
[ That said! He moves aside so not to block his way. ]
Well, I don't believe I'm allergic to anything, but I'm not from somewhere with all these different kinds of medicines.
no subject
Written-- r-records are easier to g-go over.
( Softly, as if he can pretend that what Caesar said doesn't matter, isn't needling under his skin. Be better. )
Then I g-guess we have uh, t-trial and error.
( Which he'd sound a little more thoughtful about, except that Caesar was rude. )
no subject
Written records, though... ]
Fair enough.
[ That's true, too. ]
So. If I do have an allergic reaction, it won't, you know, kill me or anything, will it?
in which bella bullshits medication on the moon
Donny finds the medication he is after, dispensing only a few into a bottle. ) We d-don't have uh, l-labelling stuff yet, so I g-guess-- ( Ah, there is his paper, on the desk. He doesn't hand them to Caesar right away. )
Um, n-no. We'll start you on a um, small d-dose? To m-make sure you aren't allergic and see h-how-- how you handle it. If that's all right, you c-can get a full d-dose.
( There are probably better people to talk to about this part, but their resources aren't great, yet. He's working on it. )
no subject
Knowing even less about these medications than Donny, he mostly just watches him work from there on, trying to decide whether anything seems particularly important to ask about. There is one thing... ]
And a small dose would be what exactly?
no subject
Donny is able to at least give Caesar a slight smile. )
This um, o-okay. These p-pills ( Holding up one bottle ) Have a uh, a smaller d-dosage? So l-less um, concentrated. They're about-- half strength, for m-milder c-cases and everything. Start with one of these about uh, t-twenty m-- m-minutes before sleep. It m-might not uh, b-be strong enough, but we c-can make sure it's the right m-medication.
( Holding them out for Caesar, and smoothing his thumb over the label. ) And you c-can um, call or-- c-call or t-text if uh, if you get any-- problems? I'm on c-call, so. Yeah.

your face
or something
He accepts the bottle, giving the label a look over while he does. Not that he doesn't trust the guy (he does), but he wants to make sure he understood what he just attempted to say. ]
Twenty minutes? [ Not twenty-two or...? ] Alright. I'll let you know if anything comes up.
no subject
( Hopeful, with a bit of a grin. ) Um, and-- if you think of any questions? You c-can always um, m-message me on the network. It's, uh. W-what I'm here for. And if that d-dose works, stick with it, or we c-can up it.
no subject
[ He'll at least relent and not mention that Donny's repeating himself. Instead, he pockets the pills and turns to go, a hand half-raised in a kind of backwards facing farewell wave of a sort. ]
See you around, doc.
