she took me back and stitched me up
Date & Time: 9th October and onwards
Location: Clinic
Characters: Donny & open
Summary: follow-on from this network post, but your character doesn't have to have replied to that in order to drop by and give him info or whatever!
(annnnnd eventually it might just turn into a catch-all for later October logs? idk.)
Warnings: Depression, potential mention of death, murder and horribly injuries. Will edit as necessary and feel free to give me a heads up if you'd like to avoid any particular topics in our thread! c:
( Or, perhaps more accurately, the location is really "the place that is being constructed into a clinic." Though he spent a few days dedicated to fiddling in the VR room, he has his retreat there fixed, and there are more important things to focus on. The majority of the time he's in the clinic.
A. Fixing thing up. Right now, hiding his magic seems stupid, rather than helpful, and he's very carefully using his ability to manipulate metal to make the most of the materials that they have, reconfiguring the space to allow for maximum bed space, reinforcing the doorway, making a space for back up generators. There is zero meddling with the external structure, though, because that would obviously just be a really bad idea.
B. Paperwork - working on an inventory, working on patient records, going over notes for appropriate treatment for non-human Transports, trying to organize the (admittedly limited) medical texts that he lugged up on the flight. Save him from this plan or alternatively come and give him more stuff to... file or whatever.
C. Treating people - WHAT DID YOU DO. WHAT DID YOU DO.
Seriously though, what did you do because he needs to know so he can patch you up.
D. - idk man you guys probably have more ideas than I do )

No, stay. [ Without even looking back, she had heard the dog's footfalls as he tried to enter the room. The second she ordered him to stay, he did; sitting down in the doorway quietly as blood and red-streaked saliva dripped from all the little cuts and lacerations both around and inside his mouth. ] Gimme a minute and then we'll play doctor, okay?
we can do what we want!!!
For all his slouching, he's a tall guy dressed entirely in black. It might be intimidating if he weren't so terribly... him, hair sticking out in disarray from all his tense tugging at it, absently chewing his lip as he moves towards the voice - too much direction to be a wander, but not exactly striding her way, either. )
H-hey. ( Nervously, his fingers wrap around the metal band on his left wrist, matched by one on his right - too thick and heavy to really be bracelets, but a far cry from shackles or anything of the sort. ) C-can, um-- do you n-need any help?

Fuck uh, [ But wait. She had a legitimate reason to be here, didn't she? Realizing this, she nods her head in Metalhead's direction. Sitting where Apollo told him to, he remains still and stares at Donny with an almost unsettling intensity. ] Dumbass over there could use a couple things. Y'got somethin' for stitchwork 'round here or what?

a! kind of w/e you know what's going down
Hey, Donny, it's me! [She doesn't want to distract him from what he's doing, but she doesn't want to stand and watch him without saying anything, either.]
DO I THOUGH?
( Quietly, and he doesn't glance her way immediately, juuuuust because he needs to finish this thing. He bites his tongue as he concentrates, heat flaring in the metal that he's trying to manipulate for panelling. )
Uh, h-how are you?

oh. Wow. Yeah, if he hadn't seen Kang on the network he might have been a touch alarmed. As it is, he just sort of watches for a second, and offers a belated wave. ) Um, h-hi-- K-Kang, right?
( Wincing, internally. He can't be like this, he needs to be better than this, but this is all he has to work with. )

[And Vin would say he was trusting. Kell smiles. A skaa thief never did get far without a healthy dose of paranoia. Even if there were no obligators or Inquisitors here (yet?) it paid to be careful.]
[No, he's here because Donny mentioned metal, and Kelsier wants to know if it's Allomancy.]
Ho. Donny Casey?

He's a little focused on that when he hears his name, and almost jumps - but somehow manages to avoid it, instead looking over his shoulder. There's a shelf of metal being forged in the air, suspended. )

a little of column B with a little of column D i guess
Even though he's been offered help to get to sleep before, back when he first arrived. Of course Collette already knew how bad he was with a place like this, after the initial spaceship theft, but it wasn't a problem he cared to let her worry about, shrugging it off and claiming he'd be fine.
Which is why he's skulking on into the clinic directly after finally becoming fed up with the constant nodding off, only to wake up not even a half hour later, or worse, but nightmares certainly aren't something to bring up.
No, he's just after some kind of sleeping aid, any kind! Preferably without needing to tip anyone off, but... ]
Oh. [ Well, Donny's in here, so so much for that. Donny and his paperwork. ] Hello.
no only one column is allowed how dare
No, just kidding. That's in the Briest household.
At any rate, Donny is blissfully inaware of Caesar's actual reason for being there, and he looks up from his mountain of paperwork and the inventory list, one hand holding his network device so he can go through the lists that others have sent him and make sure the master list is complete. )
Hi? ( A beat. That was helpful, Adonis. ) Uh, c-can-- can I help you?

Donny glances over, doesn't quite smile, and has to resist the urge to see if there's anyone else here who can go talk to the new arrival. Be better. Be Atlas. )

( He's scribbling down more notes, before he glances at her. And it really is just a glance, as he tries to add something more to his list. )
W-we um, need supplies to m-make first aid k-kits for um, for all the T-Transports. And the n-new arrivals for next m-month.
( You know, only a shit tonne of stuff. He isn't looking so great, sleepless, but what's new around the Transport population these days? )

Once he's slipped inside he starts to call out, but then the man there is drawing his eyes and then holding his attention. He's seen metas work before, but nothing quite like... like that. Whatever that is. It's a minute before he catches himself staring open-mouthed. ]
That has to come in handy...
this is totes okay ALSO http://moonbaseclinic.dreamwidth.org/1135.html relevant to dick's interests?
( Quiet, a little embarrassed. It's still-- weird, uncomfortable, to use his powers so publicly as Adonis. As if they aren't really his and he doesn't have the right to take credit for them.
Donny pauses his work, eases back a couple of steps, as he double checks to make sure it's at a safe stopping point. ) Um, h-how-- how c-can I help?

When she reaches the clinic and finds Donny, however, she stops, quiet and a few feet away as to not interrupt him. She can feel his magic - it isn't something she's capable of herself, what with her magic primarily being of nature. So sensing something new, so to speak - it's almost like reading an interesting book, to Tempest.
A few minutes go by before she decides to speak up, clearing her throat first so she doesn't startle him]
Donny, yes?
absolutely!
As much as Donny is inclined to being easily startled, he is focused on his work. Sometimes it feels like magic is when he is closest to being able to be Atlas. As if it were tied to him, steadying, but Atlas had been false and torn down. Even Atlas was useless. At least there was something that his magic could do, still.
Tempest's voice draws his attention, a sidelong glance in her direction as he works another bed frame together out of scrap metal. It's a bigger one - after Kang mentioned some patients being bigger, not human, that everything here is meant for humans, he tried to start making provisions. )
Uh, yup.

[ he's doing some weird magneto shit with metal when she manages to find him. she watches him, with a confused, yet not quite so, expression on her face. this is the boy who asked for her foundation a few months back, right? ] Hiya. [ with a curious pinch to her brows, she points at the metal he's manipulating. ] You're seriously doing that?

( Quiet, voice a little hoarse. He'd had a chance to be more relaxed, the past times they've met; the beach, Ella's party. There was more color to him, as simple as his clothes, even if he'd always had a tendency to be wearing neutral colors and black. There is something more severe in this, the all-black and the exhaustion in his shoulders, the slow burn of everything eating through him, even if he is standing taller, looks somehow... steadier. He is hanging in contradictions.
Metal is warping by virtue of his will, as he clears more room for the generators, clearing the space and creating a secure framework. )
Yeah. ( A shrug, apologetic. ) It's j-just-- m-magic.

a couple hours after their conversation
Trying not to thinka bout how close the quarters are or how damn helpless she is to change the situation. She's never really been in a position where leaving wasn't an option. There's always been other places to go.
And that's exactly why she's interested in missions. For the Initiative, she wouldn't be caught dead, not working for her captors like a good little Irathient girl. Getting medical supplies to provide for a group of people who need them...that's something she can justify to herself. It's a good way to get out, a good way to stop thinking. So she doesn't waste much time before she goes to the clinic, or at least the clinic-to-be, and strides in, wearing her clothes from home and her knives, large gold eyes flicking around to take in the look of the place.]
Donny?
