she took me back and stitched me up
Date & Time: 9th October and onwards
Location: Clinic
Characters: Donny & open
Summary: follow-on from this network post, but your character doesn't have to have replied to that in order to drop by and give him info or whatever!
(annnnnd eventually it might just turn into a catch-all for later October logs? idk.)
Warnings: Depression, potential mention of death, murder and horribly injuries. Will edit as necessary and feel free to give me a heads up if you'd like to avoid any particular topics in our thread! c:
( Or, perhaps more accurately, the location is really "the place that is being constructed into a clinic." Though he spent a few days dedicated to fiddling in the VR room, he has his retreat there fixed, and there are more important things to focus on. The majority of the time he's in the clinic.
A. Fixing thing up. Right now, hiding his magic seems stupid, rather than helpful, and he's very carefully using his ability to manipulate metal to make the most of the materials that they have, reconfiguring the space to allow for maximum bed space, reinforcing the doorway, making a space for back up generators. There is zero meddling with the external structure, though, because that would obviously just be a really bad idea.
B. Paperwork - working on an inventory, working on patient records, going over notes for appropriate treatment for non-human Transports, trying to organize the (admittedly limited) medical texts that he lugged up on the flight. Save him from this plan or alternatively come and give him more stuff to... file or whatever.
C. Treating people - WHAT DID YOU DO. WHAT DID YOU DO.
Seriously though, what did you do because he needs to know so he can patch you up.
D. - idk man you guys probably have more ideas than I do )

( An awkward hesitation, as he tries to think of all the people he has spoken to, and a name from the network sparks his memory as he takes her hand. His skin is warm, a little over what a human probably should healthily be, shaking her hand just once - firmly - before his shyness draws his hand away. )
It's n-nice to uh, m-meet you. We-- we spoke about uh, the first aid k-kits?

Well met, Donny. And we did, yes.

( Good, yes. Good start. He hesitates, almost starts to go one way, before stopping short again. )
Would... um. You l-like to help with the p-putting together or um, or m-maybe just-- see stuff.
( His brow furrows, as if he realises that was 1. super awkward 2. super vague. A quiet huff of air. ) Sorry. I'm-- I'm n-new at this.
( Sheepish. So sheepish. )

I understand; I am still a bit new to all of this as well. [going from mercenary to healer was a bit of a jump, after all] If you need the help, I would, of course, love to assist you.

( God, what is he even doing? He draws out a few of the first aid kits they've managed to cobble together so far, turning it over in his hands, before passing it over. )
M-my-- my friend m-made these, b-but um. I need t-to go through them all and uh, m-make sure they have all the items in there. Double-- d-double check.
( It's simple biut time consuming and brain-drainy.)

So an . . . inventory, so to speak?
no subject
( With a little grin. ) There's a uh, l-list sewn into the lid? So p-people can check um, and c-come and restock with us.
( To make it a bit easier he opens up one of the kits, and starts pulling out the different articles, laying them out carefully on the table. ) V-visual might-- might b-be easier than just the um, names.
( Holding up the flares: ) C-careful with these ones.

What in the world are those?
