(OPEN | Mutiny Log) Well it's been so long

Date & Time: Nov. 16 ~0300 through Nov.19th ~0230hrs, 3133
Location: Housing, Cafeteria, VR rooms, hallways etc (read: everywhere)
Characters: YOU!
Summary: Mutiny on the moon base! Vital systems are offline, mutineers are making PA announcements, and there’s conflict and turmoil brewing in the halls. Dun dun duuun!
Warnings: None yet (possible violence?)
Notes: Specify a date and location in your top comment. You may specify multiple dates/locations. A timeline for the plot and the IC PA announcements made during are available HERE.

[In the dead of night - or as close to ‘the dead of night’ as is possible to have in moon base - a small group of transports finally make the move they’ve been planning for weeks. Pre-determined teams, maintaining radio contact throughout, simultaneously take control of the Transporter Room and take multiple systems offline.

One moment things are normal; they next, they’re not. With a last message flagged as ‘maintenance’ left on the network, the network cuts out. A moment later, Transports across the base find themselves losing contact with the ground or shifting in their sleep and gently floating out of their beds from the force as the gravity drops. Lighting flicks over to emergency only: bathing corridors and rooms in a desolate, lonely red. Doors work - and then they don’t. Transports will find themselves confined to housing (and washrooms), the VR rooms, and the cafeteria; it’s plenty of space to be comfortable and largely covers most Transport’s basic needs (unless you’re fond of cheery light or having your feet on the ground in which case you may be out of luck).

Hours later-- Click-HHHSSSHK-click!

A woman’s voice speaks over the moon base’s PA system, echoing through the dark corridors and off the odds and ends gently floating through them thanks to the lack of gravity regulation. The voice is rich and accented, with a certain practiced ease to it - one that sharpens to a point the longer she talks:]

Testing. Testing-- are we good? Christ, I'm not echoing, am I? No?

All right good. Listen up, fellow transports. As you might have noticed, some of the base's general systems have gone offline: this, I assure you, is absolutely intentional. There's no need to panic.

So moving on from the understandably frustrating to the even more frustrating, I'm sure you all have also noticed the fact that we're currently all stuck-- starving and defenseless-- on the bloody moon. In a base that was, up until a few days ago, overrun with zombies. And before that, thousands of lives were bombed right out of existence, and before that, an entire world-- and before that we were all still being thrown at the United Earth for the sake of dying off repeatedly in a war we never stood a chance or had a say in. Transports have been treated like pawns since day one, and I'm sorry, but we don't deserve it.

If we're giving up our lives and our freedom, I'd say it's about time we earned ourselves a little equality.

We deserve a say in what goes on in this fight, and with that in mind, a few of us have decided to hold onto the transporter for a while. Just until the Initiative agrees to treat us like people instead of ammunition. Trust me, we’re not here to hurt anyone; none of this has to end badly. But it does need to end. Things have got to change. And if this is what it takes? This is what it’s going to be.

We need your help; please don’t make it any harder for us.

[The PA clicks off, pitching the base once more into complete radio silence.

Near the end of the first day, gravity regulation is re-established. The network is brought back online the following day, allowing everyone to communicate more freely. Lighting doesn’t come back online until the 18th and the door regulation isn’t normalized or operable until the 19th. Throughout the four days, the mutineers make multiple PA announcements.

In the mean time? Keep your friends close, come to the aid of your neighbors; help with reconnaissance and choose sides - are you neutral in this mess? Are you trying to help bring systems back online and root out the mutineers? Are you sympathetic to the mutiny and trying to sabotage those Transports standing for the Initiative?]

Celena chuckles and dips her head, "I can indeed, though it would make getting around the base even more difficult," she comments wryly, "I believe many of the dragons we have among us are capable of as much,"

"Why thank you and indeed, the VR rooms do make up for it somewhat, few things compare to being able to properly stretch one's wings in flight," She inclines her head to that and watches on with a small hint of amusement as Collette reaches to the illusion.

The illusion seemingly coming to life to hop across to Collette's outstretched hand seeming quite physical if light as it leaped from there into the air to fly about locker room, "I've got one or two other tricks that would go well at a party," she chuckles before the illusion lands on her shoulder after a moment.

Collette's completely enamored. All of this, the illusion, the distraction, for a moment is more looming and immediate than everything else happening on this base. She has to tell Caesar about this, regardless of if he'll think it's anything worth noting past "ah, so someone can do this." It's magic -- which may not surprise him -- but magic is simply so magical. to her.

"They do? How many of you guys are there?" Her eyes followed the miniature's flight, alighting on Celena when the dragon claims her shoulders. "I'm starting to think the lot of us could have one wicked awesome party entertainment gig!"

"There have been a rather number indeed, though some have come and gone. There is at least one other that I know of currently on the base, likely more however. I have come across or seen from a distance at least three others however in my time here,"

She chuckles and glances to the illusion which takes off to sail about the room one last time before fading away, casting a soft grin across to Collette "Oh I have little doubt to that, indeed, it would make for quite the show," she cants her head, curious, "What manner of forms can you take on anyways, if you don't mind me asking, I have come across many in my time are capable of shapeshifting yet have only recently been able to grasp the workings of my own,"
crocodilesmiles: (☇ grin like you're not sure you should)

"This and that," she confessed. "Cat, like you see, and I've got a dog, too." Things many people here could second knowing about. She sticks to the known for a sense of personal safety. 'Picked up a horse back in New Mexico early this year."

When she'd been camping out with Caesar and giving rides to boys and girls long gone by now.

"I knew one of the dragons here before. Two, actually," she says, thinking back to Ric and Aurican. "They were really different from each other."

Celena nodded thoughtfully, noting those forms away for later reference. At the mention of picking up a horse her look turned more curious, "Indeed? That would be quite useful I'd wager. I take it you need to have a live example of a form to be able to take it on?"

"Oh? From world to world we can vary quite wildly in shape, demeanor and abilities," Celena gave a slight chuckle, "Even on the same world some can be quite different indeed,"
crocodilesmiles: (☇ smile and duck down your head)

[personal profile] crocodilesmiles 2013-11-25 03:58 am (UTC)(link)
"What were different dragons like from your world, then?" She'd love to hear more about them, creating a growing mental map and imaginative landscape peppered with such random facts and possibilities.
curiousredsoul: (Elven smiling)

[personal profile] curiousredsoul 2013-11-27 10:28 pm (UTC)(link)
"They varied greatly indeed, many kinds of dragons indeed call Antara home, from those similar to myself and those here, to wingless drakes and even those more serpentine dragons, not unlike the eastern dragons of earth lore," Celena smiled warmly as she thought back to her world, "Even amongst those the differences were many, whether scale, hide, feathers or fur,"

"Some were not unlike the dragons of your worlds tales, solitary individuals who wished only to tend to their collections and territory. Others yet were far more social creatures, mingling amongst their own kind and the many other races as happily as any other," Celena gave a soft grin as she went on, "The Braneir in particular were a particularly small race of dragon who were nothing if not a talkative and inquisitive lot, often growing no larger than a large dog,"
crocodilesmiles: (☇ smile with pleasure looking left)

[personal profile] crocodilesmiles 2013-11-28 07:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Collette absorbed all the information with wide eyes, and a wondering, pleased grin. "I wish I could meet one of those," came her emphatic comment after hearing about the Braneir. "Do you miss all that? It has to feel different here, when most the variety we get is only in people. Not that it's bad! Different, though."

So many things about this place were simply different than anywhere else, or anywhen else, she'd ever been.

[personal profile] curiousredsoul 2013-11-29 11:27 am (UTC)(link)
Celena grins softly at that, "You'd likely get an ear talked off, many find them too talkative at times, I don't mind them personally, always enjoy a good conversation," she chuckles to that, "I will admit I do miss it at times, but this is not the first time I have been amongst such a group as this,"

She lets her gaze wander to the lockers around them and by extension the base, "I have found that such situations give opportunities to learn things one would never have the chance to back home, of different universes, different peoples and races and their magic or technologies. Such a situation needn't be a bad thing all its own,"
crocodilesmiles: (☇ ask a question with eyebrows quirked)

[personal profile] crocodilesmiles 2013-12-01 09:32 am (UTC)(link)
Collette made to move forward, wanting to shift toward exiting the restrooms. Much as she was enjoying the unexpected conversation, she was wanting a little movement too.

"What other places have you been like that?" It's as good a question to ask as anything else.
curiousredsoul: (Elven)

[personal profile] curiousredsoul 2013-12-01 12:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Celena stepped aside, making no motion to stop her, if anything she gestured to go ahead ready to follow along and continue their conversation on the move.

"One other, the Transmigration 9, a trans-dimensional bio vessel the size of a small moon," She states that simply in a matter-of-fact way before going on, "The situation for those who awoke on board was in ways quite similar to the situation many of us find ourselves in now, drafted into a war beyond our choosing,"

"I will spare you the details on that war. Despite the horrors that we faced, there were bright spots among the dark, friendships and bonds forged. The knowledge and ingenuity of those of many worlds working together," She gives a small almost fond smile as she thinks back to that time.
crocodilesmiles: (☇ grin as you look at them)

[personal profile] crocodilesmiles 2013-12-04 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
Collette moves out into the hall, rolling along at a decent, not all that stressful pace.

"Sounds like something we could use here," she says, eyes bright with wonder. "Did you say the ship was the size of a moon?"

[personal profile] curiousredsoul 2013-12-05 01:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Celena keeps pace easily as she follows Collette down the hall.

"Indeed, and I certainly intend to put my experience to use," She dips her head before chuckling softly, "That I did, she was certainly no small vessel. Housing millions upon millions in stasis during the course of it all, as well as an entire city level, comprised of buildings saved from vast numbers of different worlds,"
