Summary: Mutiny on the moon base! Vital systems are offline, mutineers are making PA announcements, and there’s conflict and turmoil brewing in the halls. Dun dun duuun!

[In the dead of night - or as close to ‘the dead of night’ as is possible to have in moon base - a small group of transports finally make the move they’ve been planning for weeks. Pre-determined teams, maintaining radio contact throughout, simultaneously take control of the Transporter Room and take multiple systems offline.

One moment things are normal; they next, they’re not. With a last message flagged as ‘maintenance’ left on the network, the network cuts out. A moment later, Transports across the base find themselves losing contact with the ground or shifting in their sleep and gently floating out of their beds from the force as the gravity drops. Lighting flicks over to emergency only: bathing corridors and rooms in a desolate, lonely red. Doors work - and then they don’t. Transports will find themselves confined to housing (and washrooms), the VR rooms, and the cafeteria; it’s plenty of space to be comfortable and largely covers most Transport’s basic needs (unless you’re fond of cheery light or having your feet on the ground in which case you may be out of luck).

Hours later-- Click-HHHSSSHK-click!

A woman’s voice speaks over the moon base’s PA system, echoing through the dark corridors and off the odds and ends gently floating through them thanks to the lack of gravity regulation. The voice is rich and accented, with a certain practiced ease to it - one that sharpens to a point the longer she talks:]

Testing. Testing-- are we good? Christ, I'm not echoing, am I? No?

All right good. Listen up, fellow transports. As you might have noticed, some of the base's general systems have gone offline: this, I assure you, is absolutely intentional. There's no need to panic.

So moving on from the understandably frustrating to the even more frustrating, I'm sure you all have also noticed the fact that we're currently all stuck-- starving and defenseless-- on the bloody moon. In a base that was, up until a few days ago, overrun with zombies. And before that, thousands of lives were bombed right out of existence, and before that, an entire world-- and before that we were all still being thrown at the United Earth for the sake of dying off repeatedly in a war we never stood a chance or had a say in. Transports have been treated like pawns since day one, and I'm sorry, but we don't deserve it.

If we're giving up our lives and our freedom, I'd say it's about time we earned ourselves a little equality.

We deserve a say in what goes on in this fight, and with that in mind, a few of us have decided to hold onto the transporter for a while. Just until the Initiative agrees to treat us like people instead of ammunition. Trust me, we’re not here to hurt anyone; none of this has to end badly. But it does need to end. Things have got to change. And if this is what it takes? This is what it’s going to be.

We need your help; please don’t make it any harder for us.

[The PA clicks off, pitching the base once more into complete radio silence.

Near the end of the first day, gravity regulation is re-established. The network is brought back online the following day, allowing everyone to communicate more freely. Lighting doesn’t come back online until the 18th and the door regulation isn’t normalized or operable until the 19th. Throughout the four days, the mutineers make multiple PA announcements.

In the mean time? Keep your friends close, come to the aid of your neighbors; help with reconnaissance and choose sides - are you neutral in this mess? Are you trying to help bring systems back online and root out the mutineers? Are you sympathetic to the mutiny and trying to sabotage those Transports standing for the Initiative?]

[After the transmission, Carol's been confined to her room. Not that she's very motivated to leave, after dealing with zombies and now apparently a takeover, but she doesn't like not having the option to leave either. After a while of trying to open the door, she's finally successful and manages to stumble out into the hallway.

Maybe it would've been better if she stayed inside, but if she gets trapped inside with no food or supplies...

Which leads to her second problem, because she now finds herself suddenly floating upwards.]

[She tries to grab the door handle before she can float very far, but instead she's just flailing while trying to grab onto something to anchor herself.]

[Nov. 17th - 19th]

[Carol's mostly been staying out of the way of everyone else, but she's got to get supplies too. So she's been making runs to get food and first aid supplies - not just for herself, but in case she comes across anyone who's been injured as well.

That's not the only reason either. She's got her camera on her of course, and she'll occasionally stop to write something down whenever she hears or sees something going on. She's trying her best to collect information on the mutiny as it's in progress.

If you're injured, she'll approach you. Otherwise there's a little girl with a camera sneaking around and trying to see what's going on and spying a little bit.]

[Says the guy who just bumped his face against the wall. Asbel had been heading in this direction to check up on Richard and somehow managed to drift right past his room without finding a way to stop himself. Of course, as soon as he hits the wall he starts floating in another direction. Sideways.]

If you start struggling, it only makes it worse.

Or out of the air ducts, considering where they currently were, and what room they were perched around. The plan was realtively simple. Stop time, pull Vennett out, make sure an intelligence source on the Transport Pad wasn't offed on accident or anything otherwise.

Simple.

Easy.

It was probably going to go horrifically wrong.

"I'm ready," he murmurs, voice barely a ghost of a whisper—partially because of their tenuous location, and partially because he feels... well... foolish, addressing (being addressed by) a cat. He knows it's Collette, of course, that had been made obvious very quickly. But it still doesn't quite discourage the feeling of absurdity.

Nor can he shake the unease surrounding his involvement here at all. Rebellions tend to be a Bad Idea, and he would very much like to never be caught up in one ever again. But the Transporter—that's their pathway home, among other things.

He isn't going to let that be compromised, just like he isn't going to let anyone be injured for this. Which is why—

One of these days, you will be walking by or near an airduct. And there will, for little reason you can understand, be either a cat, a cockroach, or a bird that comes tumbling out to the floor. You're not entirely sure, depending: sometimes that animal is almost instantly replaced with a young girl in a skintight suit, neat stitches holding together old tears on her legs. Collette looks a little frazzled, but her smile is big and she pushes herself up into a seated position almost immediately. How easy that is to see depends on the day and the state of the lights. She seems lucky, never being in an area where gravity takes a pass.

Your choice, fine Transport: cockroach, kitty, finch, or girl? Who have you encountered making her way on out of the ducts?

Wandering this hall without any real purpose but to keep moving, Christopher pauses as he watches the bird fall. Birds that fall, Christopher thinks, are an example of how very counterintuitive humanity's understanding of natural beings is.

Collette, Ahiru, Charlie | Early Portion of Rebellion

It's a good idea, but Collette has to admit that while she can outclass some people in her tech knowledge, it's only out of a familiarity born within the North American culture. What Charlie offers is straight up spy film stuff, and it's fascinating, even if she has to clarify yet again -- "I'll be able to carry this in any form? Like something really small?"

She looks to Ahiru for confirmation, then to Charlie again. She doesn't want to end up asking another girl to carry everything because it won't work with her mobile morphs.

There's a bit of nervousness at the idea of wandering in the vents (she's clumsy and loud sometimes, who's to say she won't accidentally alert the mutineers to their presence somehow?) but a bit more nervous about doing nothing. She understands the point behind the mutiny, but she doesn't agree with how it's come about; now is not the time, especially in a vulnerable position like they are now. Something like this will cause conflict in a time when she's not certain they can take it. She sounds contemplative as she speaks.

As soon as he spots Roslyn, he heads over.

He looks mad. This isn't such a bad thing, because it translates to an all-business attitude that has him standing up straight, eyes sharp and focused.]

"Yes. Introducing widespread panic into an already volatile situation is exactly the way to win people to your cause," Billy grumbles, angrily bouncing off a wall as he tries to retrieve his tools before they get locked behind another door. It's frustrating, and he's not sure exactly what he's kicking in the dark.

Honestly...he's trapped, it's dark, and he's having extreme difficulty building something as simple as a flashlight for himself with this gravity situation. It chafes, and he's definitely in the mood to hit something.

He really hopes the thing he just grazed with his arm was an inanimate object, because he's really not in the mood for people right now.

Now that he's grounded, Billy's no less frustrated but slightly more capable of building useful things. He mistook the green wire for the blue one a few times, but after a few hand-singing mishaps, there's finally something he can offer.

There's a spread of differently sized flashlights all spread on the table in front of him, helpfully illuminated by another of his builds: a small green light rigged above the table. His table is open to anyone---whatever side they're on, this lighting is making life difficult.

"Need a light?"

Nate gives the young man a wry smile. "Okay if it's a loaner? I have one in my gear, but trying to predict when the doors into housing units will actually be open has been... challenging."

Which was to say he was on the verge of cutting it off from the main systems and trying to hardwire it open himself, but he knows that a whole new set of problems to clean up later.

[They don't really group up before going in: radio communication in the middle of the night means taking alternate routes to the observatory (and splintering off to prepare for a simultaneous shutdown) something that appears-- at least on the surface-- about as casual as anything.

Because all transports are armed. Every last one of them on the base. Seeing a pair or two roaming the halls late at night with a gun strapped to their hip or a magical book that can teleport someone right to the edge of the universe isn't unusual. To be fair, using the weapons Chloe and Charlie's teams have lashed around them isn't part of the game plan. Alternate teams sorting out distractions for a few days ought to buy them enough time to sort out a bargain with the Initiative for something better-- with a little luck, it might take less. And god knows they'd prefer not to, but time does much to make everyone a bit more jaded; a touch more impatient.

Put a proverbial brick wall in front of someone like that and what happens next isn't likely to be anything short of desperate.

So they catch up to one another in the observatory-- the last team-- on the far end where the low electrical hum of of power lines can be heard through thick metal doors. No one should be in this late if Charlie's predictions are correct. ]

Ready for this? No bathroom breaks before we seal off the doors, so if you've got to go you'd better say so now.

[Charlie ghosts along through the observatory alongside her and while there's not much need for stealth, old habits die hard and the instinct to walk softly overrides any other logic. The pause there at the top of the hall, just a few yards from the goal they've been pushing to for the past few week, feels like a moment of clarity - not so much a point of no return as it is something certain, something inevitable.

They're doing this quietly, he knows. There's no one inside the room, he's almost sure. But he checks his sidearm anyway and shoots a last glance to those behind him - Tempest, Connor, Seviilia, Tess. He lifts his eyebrows, a silent kind of 'Here's to nothing' and then taps Chloe on the shoulder.]

[With a flashlight in one hand and a .380 ACP in the other, Jesse makes his way slowly down the corridor. He has two missions at the moment, and they're both pretty simple: protect the people who're on his side and take down anybody who isn't. The look he's wearing on his face is 100% do-not-fuck-with-me, which throws his whole Nice Guy Who Bakes Cookies routine right out the window. Jesse usually dresses like a gangster, but right now he actually looks like one, too. And that should probably be enough of a warning.

Not that he takes any pleasure in this. He hates killing people just as much as he ever did. But as far as he's concerned, with the entire base being held hostage by a group of goddamn lunatics, it's a them-or-us situation. And they already hurt one of his own. So the time for talking nice is over, and he's set to end this one way or another. Considering the buzzing in his head, the way his nerves are on edge, and how he hasn't slept in over twenty-four hours because he's that jacked up on rage... It could get ugly.]

[Mike stalks after him, gun in hand, just in case. The only difference is Mike appears as calm and unimpressed as ever; that isn't to say he isn't angry - he's just as pissed as Jesse is. Only Mike is a lot better at reigning in at times.

He would've followed the kid anyway, what with the whole mess going down - who the hell staged a mutiny on the fucking moon anyway? - but in this instance, he's following to make sure Jesse doesn't do anything stupid. Which was entirely possible, given the month and Jesse's mood at the moment]

Great. Not even a month and here Wayne is, having to pick sides. He barely even knows the good guys from the bad guys (even if that would make a difference) but what he does know is that he thinks it unwise to rebel when they're so tight for resources as it is. Also, on the moon. In space. Keeping their heads down just seems smarter.

When he's split up from Saul he's wandering around -- no, skulking, rather -- his face scratched up from when Saul's damn cat Mike grabbed onto him while the gravity was off, his sleeve held close to his ear. They're keeping in touch occasionally through his radio cufflinks, but he's also just trying to listen. Now that he's figured them out a little more from his first day, he knows two of the more basic functions are 1] talk, and 2] record. Could come in handy if he runs into anyone relevant. Right now he's just trying to keep abreast of things.

So: stressed, bleeding, a little on edge. He's not alone in that, he knows, which is also why at some point he'll be heading in the direction of the kitchen so he can try to swipe a knife. ]

[there was a glance at his phone. how much battery did he have left? enough, he supposed. who knew when all the facilities would come back on-line?]

[at first he was cruising the network, checking out the posts made almost a year ago, and then poof! blank, gone, zip, nadda, nothing! that was curious, to say the least. enough to pique the interest of a young, possibly reckless little chaos godling. in all of his great ideas he thought it would be best to take a bit of a look-see around the area. venturing out alone wasn't really something that he took lightly, but he had been on enough personal endeavors to know how this went. (still, it felt a bit odd not to have company, but he wiped the thought of Ikol from his mind. Leah lingered, but Ikol brought a bitterness that was best left for another time.)

[In most cases, Lucifer was happy enough to stay out of sight and figure out where people's loyalty lied, delaying those in league with the anti-mutiny half of the base and never showing up throughout the situation. There was a definite chance of any run-ins around this time leaving a poor impression on him because of it, so he made a point of keeping out of his usual form for the most part, disguised as a young woman.

Here, though...it's not really about the mutiny. He detects a familiarity of sorts within Loki, although one alien enough that he's at least aware this is different from the Loki of his own universe, and it intrigues him enough to approach in his usual form as this wouldn't be a meeting he'd deny having in the future. No, this meeting was just to sate his own curiosity, and learn more about this interesting kid.

So as he sees him, Lucifer approaches.]

[When the mutiny starts, Lucifer's intrigued - he'd backed on the initiative winning this war on behalf of his own ideals, so he wasn't going to interfere, but now that a second horse has entered the race and taking such proactive steps at that...he's a lot more interested in that kind of initiative, than the actual initiative itself.

Although he doesn't want to sever ties with the existing rebellion against the United Earth too much, so he decides against doing anything directly, instead settling on mostly harmless acts, wasting time or distracting those with places to be on behalf of stopping the mutiny - in a sense, he thinks, it's just another way to test the existing forces of the initiative on how they deal with adversity - and sets about stalking the halls of the moonbase to cause some disruption.

Of course he doesn't want to risk being identified too quickly either, and considering some people are aware he changes shape, that complicates things a little - and in the end he settles on taking this form, so should anyone see Lucifer walking the halls, it's at least a shape nobody knows to associate with his identity.

So if you're making yourself busy in an attempt to help shut down the mutiny, you may feel like you're being followed. Being watched. Noone is there everytime you check, but there's definitely a presence somewhere around here...and maybe you feel like you've already walked down this hallway before? Or you're sure there was a doorway here last time you walked this way, and the fact it's just a dead end all of a sudden seems a little strange. Maybe someone's behind these weird occurrences.]

[Caspian has a lot of time to think when the gravity cuts out. Floating is very conducive to thinking, he finds. And he wonders if there is a side he should be taking, or if there are people who need help. He's a king, after all - he's there to lead and to help, as needed.

He can't help but be upset at what these people have done - disturbing everyone's lives once again, as if it wasn't already bad enough. But a mutiny... he was a rebel once too, and it was a just cause. And he can't say that he holds the Initiative dear to his heart - he hates what happened down in Exsilium, he hates being on the moon, and the damned zombies...

Well. Maybe the mutineers have a point.

He ventures out, once he's able, to see if there is anything he can do, anyone he can help. He holds his sword tightly as he walks down the halls - he doesn't intend to use it, but it's good to have close. Maybe he should check on his friends.]

[Things were going ok.

It hadn't gone off without a hitch, of course. The gravity was back, but they'd anticipated that they wouldn't be able to maintain total shutdown for long. And everything hadn't gone completely south yet. All in all, ok seemed to be the right word.

Since he'd done his job, and had done it well, he'd mostly just disappeared. Hid his radio somewhere safe and trusted that Han and that assassin guy were doing their jobs. It was all he could do. So, while the gravity was out he'd tied himself to his bunk and taken a nap, and now that it was back on he headed out into the halls to see what the general feeling was.

Not great seemed to cover it well enough. But he hadn't heard any screaming or crying so that was something, and so far no huge explosions or the sounds of rapid fire gunshots. Still, it was tense. He supposed he couldn't blame them. Though personally it didn't seem any more run down than when he'd first appeared on the station to no lights, and it seemed a lot less terrible than the moaning sounds of undead that had accompanied his introduction to this place. Ah well, you couldn't win with some people.

Still, he's fine with the situation until he catches sight of some kid wandering the halls fingering a sword. That just seemed like a bad idea all around.]

They are so dead.

[ Which would be what Rinth proclaimed when the sudden lack of gravity and the PA message woke her up. Mutiny is not looked upon kindly where she's from, so this immediately puts her into her worst mood: the murderous kind.

After a whole lot of fumbling and snarling through getting her gear while floating about, she's out into the few areas of the base still open to her.

While she can be found virtually anywhere (having difficulty with freefall on the 16th), most of her time is spent angrily trying to pry doors open or jam them so they will stop opening and closing at random. Once brute force doesn't do the trick, she'll be using tools and her own strength to have panels off (or just parts of the wall), squinting and growling at the mess of wires and circuits. It's higher tech than she's used to, but that isn't stopping her from fiddling with it all (and she isn't aware of any magic messing with them, to boot).

Anyway! She's actually more liable to cause permanent damage at this point (considering the dents and claw marks on various doors, it's really just adding to what is already there). ]

[ And then the doors begin staying open all on their own. Fantastic, as this has just given her several days to only become angrier and angrier. She's been camped at the doors the whole time, the best she can be, not even returning to her room in case they opened or some fool of a mutineer came out of that one in particular.

But now they're opening.

She's immediately through, charging in and making a beeline right for the transporter room. ]

[ The third day she finally begins to feel an inkling of exhaustion and increasingly frustrated they haven't regained control of the Transporter room and the main controls. After she finds herself separated from the Blue Beetle and Batgirl, she decides to go looking for them.

Only to hear something heavy and large bounding down the hall. She's on the defense, but her surprise is evident when it's that... whatever cat-like thing that's been roomed with her and Elizabeth.

She does not look happy. ]

[The day seemed to jump on him out of nowhere, time had crawled up till that point (there was not a goddamn thing worth doing in this place), but then all of a sudden it was time. The usual buzz of excitement ran through him, a slight breathlessness. Look, you didn't do this kind of thing for a living unless you enjoyed it. It was a lot more fun than working at an office, that was for sure. This? It wasn't the most glamorous thing he'd ever done. It was all prep work, no follow through. Foreplay with no payoff. But hell, he'd agreed to it.

Which meant he was at the lighting panel at the agreed time, radio in one hand and rubber-handled wire cutters on the other. Trusting the people in charge of doors to keep them cordoned off. His other teammate would probably be here soon and then Head (haha) would be poised and ready for Shaft (hahaha) to do their thing in the closet. And when zero-three-hundred rolled around they'd do their things and get the hell out. Eazy-peezy.

He needed a smoke.]

[ If Altaïr was restless, he couldn't imagine how the rest of the transports must feel. They'd been here longer than him. Chloe, he knew, had been imprisoned for a year. And he couldn't even use his usual method of escape, taking flight on swift legs; because the air outside would kill him, because there was no air, and they were unfathomably far from Earth.

He'd be lying if he said he wasn't excited they were doing something about this. It wasn't a rush like that of a swordfight or leaping between roofs, but it was better than nothing. He'd used intimidation and destruction of private property to achieve his ends before. Only when no other solution could be found was he ordered to assassinate someone. So he accepted his mission with little worry. This was no different than destroying someone's market stand, and less dangerous than saving an old scholar from the hands of corrupt guards. If someone tried to stop them, he would simply adapt. He had his weapons, a mental map of the base, and his skills as a Master Assassin.

He had not been the one to come up with their team names, or even his own codename. "Hotpocket" slipped quietly towards the meeting place where Victor had arrived early. He had used a silent step on the way just in case, and when he saw Victor's back to him, he maintained it. Part of him wanted to test how vigilant his teammate was. How close could he get before the man turned around? ]

Early to Mid Mutiny; OTA

[Luke's done his bit. He's actually rather unhappy that he's not doing more, but it's Charlie and Chloe's show and he's going to let them run it. He's thrown enough of a spanner into the works to slow down anyone who wants to try and take back the transporter room - all that's really left for him to do is monitor the system and occasionally backtrack and take care of a door that they might've bypassed already.

He's vaguely guilty that they're inconveniencing the other transports, but it cna't be helped. It's for the right reasons, right? He has his radio stashed away somewhere on his person so he can stay in touch and he's wandering the halls, blaster and lightsaber on his belt while he does his best to look like he's helping.

And if the rest of the door team wants to help out or get some input, they know how to find him.]

[Joel spots him after he's turned a corner. He doesn't know that it's Luke as he's approaching from behind, but the closer he gets he then realizes.]

Sometimes, he will offer a helping hand. He will assist someone struggling with gravity. He will offer to get supplies for the people at the clinic, or make food for a friend.

Other times, he will be less than helpful. Instead of helping someone with the gravity, he might give them a little nudge that sends them off balance. He might trip someone in the hall, or pick a fight in a confined space.

There isn't any rhyme or reason to it, just the whims of madness. Mutineer or pro-Initiative, it doesn't matter. He is just exercising the choice that has been handed to him.]

[CLOSED TO ERIKA; Day 1, 1600hrs]

[Returning to their unit, Christopher picks up his umbrella, spinning it around and around before swinging it up to rest over his shoulder, and he sings out to his friend.] Erika! Oh, Erika! Are you in here? Have you at last been swallowed by the merciless embrace of space! Ack, don't tell me: you've finally decided to join your undead brothers and sisters! Erika, how could you leave without leaving your very dearest friend a note?

[Just minding his own business, Alucard was trying to make it down the hall alone. The wonky gravity was annoying, his long hair getting in his face on occasion as he used the wall to help move. He was doing alright, but he wasn't being as attentive as he usually is. He's in the middle of a big yawn when suddenly, he trips, flying down and bouncing off the floor.]

[Most of him isn't even surprised when the lights, gravity, and just about everything that makes the moonbase livable beyond life support shuts out. Hey, Exsilium gets nuked, they're living on the moon and got attacked by zombies, what's a little power failure? It's alarming, certainly, but surely they can deal with it.

The mutiny, however, comes as a surprise. He had been asleep when everything cut-out, and there's little more distracting from a declaration of intent than finding oneself rudely woken up by drifting across the room. Early on the sixteenth, he can be found drifting through the hallways, having a little difficulty with the absence of gravity, and occasionally spinning a little out of control. He's baffled and annoyed in equal measures, the Scarab quietly groaning in the back of its mind at the sudden lack of stimulation its found itself facing.

After the initial confusion, he doesn't actually spend that much time as himself - but that's nothing new, is it? Still, he carves out at least a little time every day to take a break from trying to get things back to normal, shuffling around whatever rooms may be available to them looking more tired than he is angry. Being in plainclothes means that he has the opportunity to be human for a little while, catch some sleep, grab a meal, or just take some time out.]

[As Blue Beetle, he's a hell of a lot more proactive than not. On the sixteenth he can be found gliding smoothly through the hallways, apparently completely unhindered by the lack of gravity. He's mainly trying to check up on those he can get ahold of to make sure nobody got knocked out by a piece of flying debris or whatever else can go wrong in these types of situations. He has a better hold on what's happening now, and he's feeling properly annoyed. The more he thinks about it, the worse of an idea this seems to be to him.

Later on, even with the gravity on, he's not exactly the most subtle figure in the world; while the base's lights are out, his yellow eyes and white fingertips send a soft glow suffusing through whatever portion of the room he's occupying. He strides through the base with purpose, whether he's carrying boxes of flashlights to hand out to anyone lost in the dark, searching for anyone who's been trapped in any of the rooms during all this mess or making sure that everyone's got at least a protein bar or two to tide them over. He starts tinkering with the doors directly later on, but his role in this is strictly small, strictly protection-based.

He's tired, and he's upset, but he doesn't want anyone to get hurt - and if either side looks like they're starting to get violent, he won't hesitate to step in.]

[At this point, Jaime has figured out exactly two things: he can agree with the message behind this ordeal, and that he absolutely disagrees with how they're doing it. He's baffled as to why they thought this was a good idea at all, and all he can think of is to try and lend a hand getting the controls back so they can all sit down and talk about it.

He really wishes people would just talk about things, but if they did that, he would be out of a job, wouldn't he?

Mostly, he's trying to feel out what rooms are still available to the public and what everyone's doing about it as he drifts through the hallway, privately thanking god that he doesn't have to worry about the antigrav so long as he's got the bugsuit on. He probably wouldn't have even seen Peter in the darkness if not for the glow of his yellow eyes illuminating a figure in a red costume in the hallway, and he only swerves out of the way at the last minute.] Whoa, sorry!

[Well, things definitely got a little shaken up there, didn't they? Usually, when things like this happen at home he's the cause of them. Dead body found in the river, commander suddenly gone missing, no big deal yeah? Sometimes a little shaking up is what a place needs, and people have the talent to do so in a place like this. So you know what? Yuri thinks more power to them. He's not against the idea, because hell, he's wanted some Initiative blood himself... he just didn't know how to go about it. Futuristic place filled with technology and people reviving, well... killing someone wouldn't do a damn thing. And hacking? He doesn't have those skills.

So you might find him in the cafeteria nonchalantly eating, walking the hallways not panicked in the least. Or maybe you could find him in Unit 124 just sitting there as if it's a normal day. He's not going to get in these mutineers' ways. They know what they're doing. But if someone shows they're trying to get in the mutineers' way? Yuri might try to trip them up. He feels this is the wake up call the Initiative needs.]

Nate had been trying to take a shower. 'Trying' because half the time the systems decided that totally unheated was the way to go, and 'had' because it looked like every system had abruptly shut itself off - the showers, the lighting, the gravity. So much for that. He grabbed a towel - mostly still where he left it, thankfully, and decided that while he waited for his eyes to adjust enough to find his clothes, he should make sure the rest of the people he knew on base were fine.

It took a moment of concentration to reach out to that many minds - it had been a while since he had stretched his powers out quite this far - but once he had contact with everyone, the message was simple.

Not that any outside observer in the room could tell he was doing anything other than focusing very hard.

[Okay, so that was kind of embarrassing... A long time has passed since he's needed help getting a door open. But even now that he's been granted freedom, navigating the hallways is definitely not a piece of cake by any means. He thinks he's got it, though; including the bump on the side of his head. And so it is that Asbel makes his way gracelessly down the dim corridor - oftentimes met with even more obstructions and even more locked doors. ...Dammit.]

[With the network out, he's forced to make housecalls, and yes, he'll be doing that effective immediately, regardless of the hour. Maybe he's thunking into your apartment door. Maybe he floats past in the hallway. Maybe he slams inelegantly right into you and you both go spinning in opposite directions. This is all in the name of duty and friendship, guys.]


[B - November 16 | Locked to Pascal.]

[Man, this place is out to get him. Asbel drags himself to his feet with a groan, the gravity having just been restored moments before. And that's fine, it means he can use his legs now, means he can defend himself if need be and better control his movements, but--what next? As he hurries on to look for the rest of his companions and to make sure everyone's all right, Asbel comes upon a familiar mess of red and white hair.]

[Asbel can understand their frustrations, can understand that people want change. But right now, this mutiny seems like an awful idea. People are getting hurt, people are getting angry and scared and irritable. This isn't how it's supposed to be - they're all supposed to be working together. As a team.]

[Even so, he can't fault the mutineers completely. They really have been kept in the dark about a lot of things, and it would be in everyone's best interest to know the truth and all of the facts. And so Asbel does what he's in a position to do - help. Help and look for other like-minded individuals to join up with. They need to keep everyone as calm as possible and to make sure fights don't break out. Asbel can be found wherever the partially-lit maze will allow. He'll offer to deliver messages, food, and other items.]

[By the third or fourth day he could definitely use some coffee. Maybe it's leaning against the wall of the kitchen, maybe it's at an unoccupied table, maybe it's outside Sophie's door. Maybe you're a kind friend who has offered him a shoulder. Whatever the case, at the end of all this, Asbel's about ready to crash - or maybe he's already passed out.]

[All-in-all, it could've been worse. A lot worse. The damage is internal, outwardly evident only by the swelling and bruising of his arms and the back of his head. And by Jesse's standards, even that isn't that bad. He's only been out for a few hours, not a few days. And nothing's broken.

So that's lucky.

He isn't happy when he wakes, though. When people say they have a splitting headache, do they mean it literally feels like their head is split open? Because that's how this feels. If someone told him his brains were leaking all over the place, Jesse wouldn't be surprised.

And even that is mild compared to the pain in his arms. Before he's even fully conscious, he tries to stretch - out of habit - and immediately regrets it. He can't even move his fingers without sending sharp pain running down his arms. It's more intense than it looks, sending him gasping into a cold sweat. He thinks it hurts even more now than when it was happening, and he'd be impressed by that if he didn't want to cry so much.

The best he can do is try to lie as still as possible, though there really isn't a position that's comfortable with bruising like this.]

[Mike is sat next to Jesse's bed, arms crossed, watching over him. It's safe to say that anyone he doesn't know or hasn't seen Jesse with is getting a glare - even the clinic personnel. He's not pissed, though - he's livid. Some non-violent mutiny this was - first Steph, now Jesse. It was a damn good thing the person responsible was taken in; if they hadn't been, Mike would've been out there, looking for them.

When Jesse starts to wake up, though, he leans forward and rests a hand on the kid's shoulder. Gently, far more than would be expected from him, because who knows how much it'll hurt, how extensive the damage really is. That just pisses him off even more, but he'll reign it in for now]

Might not want to try to move like that again for a while. Want something for the pain? [any other time he wouldn't have offered that, given, y'know, Jesse, but this was different]

Anne Boleyn | OPEN everywhere from the 17th-19th

[ Once the gravity is restored, Anne doesn't spend that much time sitting around twiddling her thumbs and praying. Thankfully she had been in her own bed when it initially happened and so embarrassment was minimal, but still forever remembered. It took her some time, but no matter how dark it is she finds a way to dress herself, with the continued awkward help of the poor boy exile in her care. He, however, is confined to the quarters even when she's all dressed up in her fine red gown and ruby jewelry, a first since the massive bombing of Exsilium. She is no longer in mourning, it seems, and so some of the humility is dropped in favor of survival.

It's with great luck that Kang is so willing to watch the boy, and Anne feels little shame in it with him being a father, after all. It may be hard for a local exile to accept Transports of such a startling nature, but she's positive the General's stories will eventually win him over while she's gone and checking up on her people.

First is the clinic, then Saul Goodman, and Jesse is found upon by chance. By the time that is through, her emotions are already in turmoil, though she continues to walk calmly and seemingly without fear when in the hallways or even walking through walls, that's right. If the doors are jammed somewhere, you may find a young woman in fancy dress checking up on you like any good Christian woman should! You know, but with witchcraft.

If she isn't wandering the dark halls and drifting through trapped rooms like a ghost, then she might stop to help in the cafeteria as earlier suggested, but she will always return to her room long enough to sleep a little and relieve Kang of his aid, and any of her poor roommates who may happen to be around at the time. Having this stretch only leaves her more tense each day, and wondering when her rosary will be returned. ]

[The only reason Kang has agreed to help babysit is because he likes Anne, and he can communicate with his informants at the same time, traveling through the vents. When he isn't assisting with stopping the mutiny, he's trying his best to keep Bobby entertained, allowing the boy to play with what toys he already has as well as the worn ones that belong to his own children, or telling him stories from his world.

Slowly, he's winning Bobby over.

Anne or her roommates may come back when the youngling is asleep, Kang watching him from his makeshift bed on the floor, or when both are asleep, the draconian stretched out on his stomach with his wings slightly sprawled.

Another time, he's not only telling a story, but demonstrating it, with the cloth dolls. He's hung the copper dragon underneath the top bunk of one of the beds with string, and he's moving the minotaur so that its horns go directly into the dragon's chest.]

The copper dragon fell instantly, taking its elven rider with it, and any chance the Golden General's armies had of winning the battle. We thought we had gotten rid of the minotaur as well, but we were wrong.

[ He’s not as ready for this part as he should be, seeing the confusion first hand. Hearing screams and knowing they’re his fault; that this thing is barely getting started and people are trapped and afraid already.

But they’re not hurt. No one here is getting hurt.

He doesn’t get the transporter room, but then he can’t really blame Charlie and Chloe, not trusting a kid they barely know with a task like that. His job now is to be just one of the eyes out here, and that he does know how to do. Better than anyone, he can smile when he has to and lie when he has to and stay... stay as close to anyone who looks like they might be unraveling some plan before they're ready.

And nobody said he couldn’t help, if he does come across someone in need of water or food or something he has on him already. Something to help them worry less.

[What was more terrifying than a gigantic monster? A flying gigantic monster. The sudden loss of gravity surprised him. He tried to keep his disguise together by keeping a hand over his hat, which made it slower for him to move around. Hours later, he could still accidentally bump into something, or someone. At least his eyes glowed, which provided some warning that he was near.

He was trying to get to some place away from the danger, like his room. However, that was proving to be a difficult task. If he was not floating helplessly through the air, he was struggling with a locked door.]

[Regardless of where he was, he was unprepared for when the gravity came back. Without warning, he dropped to the ground and he hit his face. He made a pained, inhuman sort of sound. It dazed him and he slumped, briefly unable to stand up.]

[Usagi landed on her knees painfully, but it had to be better than whatever had just made that noise! She pushed herself up into a sprawled sitting position, then crawled over to the giant lump in front of her.]

[With memories of how the last room he had been assigned had been decorated, the demon has yet to venture into his shared quarters on the base. Instead, he wanders--either by floating or walking later--the halls seeking solitude, but there's also another, unnamed need driving him to seek out others and determine their welfare.

Specifically, those he has come to take under his protection.]

[The demon hasn't had much to say on the network, until today, and then, he addresses the mutineers, but the video feed isn't exactly private.]

The third option is obvious and the only way to guarantee that those of the United Earth do not take this base or those within its walls.

Destroy it. Destroy it and those you are claiming to be aiding with your actions. Turn this base into a replica of the planet below us. That will settle this human problem once and for all.

[All is as it should be (which may or may not be a good thing), and for the first time since arriving, the demon's curiosity has finally gotten the better of him, and he makes his way to Room 124. Hopefully, any roommates he has been assigned (yes, he knows the drill), are out celebrating, and he can enjoy some peace and quiet for the first time in days.]
