(OPEN | Mutiny Log) Well it's been so long

Date & Time: Nov. 16 ~0300 through Nov.19th ~0230hrs, 3133
Location: Housing, Cafeteria, VR rooms, hallways etc (read: everywhere)
Characters: YOU!
Summary: Mutiny on the moon base! Vital systems are offline, mutineers are making PA announcements, and there’s conflict and turmoil brewing in the halls. Dun dun duuun!
Warnings: None yet (possible violence?)
Notes: Specify a date and location in your top comment. You may specify multiple dates/locations. A timeline for the plot and the IC PA announcements made during are available HERE.

[In the dead of night - or as close to ‘the dead of night’ as is possible to have in moon base - a small group of transports finally make the move they’ve been planning for weeks. Pre-determined teams, maintaining radio contact throughout, simultaneously take control of the Transporter Room and take multiple systems offline.

One moment things are normal; they next, they’re not. With a last message flagged as ‘maintenance’ left on the network, the network cuts out. A moment later, Transports across the base find themselves losing contact with the ground or shifting in their sleep and gently floating out of their beds from the force as the gravity drops. Lighting flicks over to emergency only: bathing corridors and rooms in a desolate, lonely red. Doors work - and then they don’t. Transports will find themselves confined to housing (and washrooms), the VR rooms, and the cafeteria; it’s plenty of space to be comfortable and largely covers most Transport’s basic needs (unless you’re fond of cheery light or having your feet on the ground in which case you may be out of luck).

Hours later-- Click-HHHSSSHK-click!

A woman’s voice speaks over the moon base’s PA system, echoing through the dark corridors and off the odds and ends gently floating through them thanks to the lack of gravity regulation. The voice is rich and accented, with a certain practiced ease to it - one that sharpens to a point the longer she talks:]

Testing. Testing-- are we good? Christ, I'm not echoing, am I? No?

All right good. Listen up, fellow transports. As you might have noticed, some of the base's general systems have gone offline: this, I assure you, is absolutely intentional. There's no need to panic.

So moving on from the understandably frustrating to the even more frustrating, I'm sure you all have also noticed the fact that we're currently all stuck-- starving and defenseless-- on the bloody moon. In a base that was, up until a few days ago, overrun with zombies. And before that, thousands of lives were bombed right out of existence, and before that, an entire world-- and before that we were all still being thrown at the United Earth for the sake of dying off repeatedly in a war we never stood a chance or had a say in. Transports have been treated like pawns since day one, and I'm sorry, but we don't deserve it.

If we're giving up our lives and our freedom, I'd say it's about time we earned ourselves a little equality.

We deserve a say in what goes on in this fight, and with that in mind, a few of us have decided to hold onto the transporter for a while. Just until the Initiative agrees to treat us like people instead of ammunition. Trust me, we’re not here to hurt anyone; none of this has to end badly. But it does need to end. Things have got to change. And if this is what it takes? This is what it’s going to be.

We need your help; please don’t make it any harder for us.

[The PA clicks off, pitching the base once more into complete radio silence.

Near the end of the first day, gravity regulation is re-established. The network is brought back online the following day, allowing everyone to communicate more freely. Lighting doesn’t come back online until the 18th and the door regulation isn’t normalized or operable until the 19th. Throughout the four days, the mutineers make multiple PA announcements.

In the mean time? Keep your friends close, come to the aid of your neighbors; help with reconnaissance and choose sides - are you neutral in this mess? Are you trying to help bring systems back online and root out the mutineers? Are you sympathetic to the mutiny and trying to sabotage those Transports standing for the Initiative?]

[November 16]

[What was more terrifying than a gigantic monster? A flying gigantic monster. The sudden loss of gravity surprised him. He tried to keep his disguise together by keeping a hand over his hat, which made it slower for him to move around. Hours later, he could still accidentally bump into something, or someone. At least his eyes glowed, which provided some warning that he was near.

He was trying to get to some place away from the danger, like his room. However, that was proving to be a difficult task. If he was not floating helplessly through the air, he was struggling with a locked door.]

[November 16, 1535hrs]

[Regardless of where he was, he was unprepared for when the gravity came back. Without warning, he dropped to the ground and he hit his face. He made a pained, inhuman sort of sound. It dazed him and he slumped, briefly unable to stand up.]

[Usagi landed on her knees painfully, but it had to be better than whatever had just made that noise! She pushed herself up into a sprawled sitting position, then crawled over to the giant lump in front of her.]

...uh, hi there.

[personal profile] smallest 2013-11-20 10:27 am (UTC)(link)
[The giant lump chittered softly as he tried to get up. The hat and mask came off so he could rub his face. He shook his head and when he opened his big, red eyes, he looked at the woman before him.]

Krri?

[His chitters turned into questioning chirps.]

What?

[She tilts her head and blinks.]

Are you okay?

[personal profile] smallest 2013-11-21 11:46 am (UTC)(link)
[It was dark, though he appeared to be nodding from the way his glowing eyes moved up and down. He was not seriously injured. The pain had mostly worn off by now.

He rasped softly and he leaned his head closer to her. He wanted to know if she was okay as well. It sounded like she also had a painful fall.]
moonlitlove: (failure moon (rabbit))

[personal profile] moonlitlove 2013-11-21 07:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Huh?

[She stands on wobbly legs. That should answer the question. After a moment, she scurries over to a puddle on the ground, following it up to a sink. Water. She carefully cups some in a vaguely cup-shaped object and holds it out to him.]

Shh. Don't move too fast.
smallest: Quote by Maud ("You protect a monster?")

[personal profile] smallest 2013-11-22 10:23 am (UTC)(link)
Prrrrh?

[He staggered on his feet and he held his head. He took the cup with a grateful chirp and he sipped the water. It helped to clear his head. She was such a nice woman and he needed to thank her. When he took out his tablet, he rasped in surprise as he could not get it to work.

He could not communicate with her.]
moonlitlove: (flustered rabbit)

[personal profile] moonlitlove 2013-11-23 12:37 am (UTC)(link)
[Usagi stuck by him anyway. She frowned at the little tablet and shook her head.]

Everything breaks around here, huh?

But we're okay. For now.
smallest: Quote by Emile ("The monster that we created.")

[personal profile] smallest 2013-11-23 11:12 am (UTC)(link)
[Her words brought comfort to him, until he heard the last part. The relief from finally standing on his feet again vanished by the horror of their predicament. His mouth turned down and he looked to her for help.

Should they hide?]
moonlitlove: (sad rabbit)

[personal profile] moonlitlove 2013-11-25 04:36 am (UTC)(link)
[She makes a small gesture with her hand---follow me. She knows somewhere big enough to hold him. It's still dark, but at least it's a little more comfortable in this nook.]

Are you cold?
smallest: All the way from... somewhere else." Quote by Lucille ("We have to help him!")

[personal profile] smallest 2013-11-28 11:38 am (UTC)(link)
[He followed her, trusting that she knew where to go. This new place was larger and he did not have to bend over so much.

He shook his head when she spoke to him. His disguise consisted of many layers of clothing, so he was not cold. The rasping sound he made seemed nervous. The current state of things frightened him.]
moonlitlove: (sad rabbit)

[personal profile] moonlitlove 2013-12-01 07:21 am (UTC)(link)
It's...uh, kinda scary.

[She shuffled closer in the dark, tentatively leaning on him.]
smallest: All the way from... somewhere else." Quote by Lucille ("This is a nightmare!")

[personal profile] smallest 2013-12-03 10:23 am (UTC)(link)
[He did not mind that she leaned on him, it made him feel safer. All he could do to respond was nod, though kinda scary seemed an understatement. The slightest hint of commotion made him tense and he nervously gripped his hat in his hands.

Francœur did not chirp, he knew better when he was supposed to be hiding. What he could not stop, however, was the fact that his eyes glowed. It was barely noticeable in the light but in the dark, it stood out.]

[Phoenix has been trying to figure out how to do this moving in zero gravity thing, mostly keeping himself in a position that won't have him landing painfully on anything vital whenever the gravity came back, when he comes across another person struggling -- with a door, in fact. And generally not moving and in something as dangerous as this the important thing was to keep moving.]

-- Hey. You, yeah! It's not opening, right? You shouldn't just stall there though, let's go find you somewhere else!
smallest: Quote by Maud ("You protect a monster?")

[personal profile] smallest 2013-11-28 11:39 am (UTC)(link)
[It scared him, at first, to hear someone speaking to him so suddenly. Large, glowing eyes looked upon Phoenix. What was he saying? It did not sound as if he meant harm. At last, he listened to the words, somewhere else, and he nodded to show that he understood. This man was trying to help.

And help was something that he desperately needed. He let go of the door, only to start floating helplessly in the air again. How was he supposed to move like this?]

[He reaches over to grab him, grasping him by the fabric of his clothes and kicking off the wall to float to the other side where he grabs a pipe along the ceiling.]

Take hold of these and pull yourself along. It'll help. Come this way with me, okay?
smallest: Quote by Lucille ("Do you have a name?")

[personal profile] smallest 2013-12-03 10:24 am (UTC)(link)
[The missing gravity made it easy to pull Francœur along despite his size. He rasped as he watched the world move around him and the ceiling pipe moved into view.

He cautiously grabbed a pipe and he gently pulled himself further down the hall. It was as if he thought it could break at any moment and, were he at his full weight, it probably would have. He followed Phoenix without hesitation, even though he did not know where they were going.]

[personal profile] aceordisgraced 2013-12-04 03:37 am (UTC)(link)
There should be somewhere people are going to stay away from all this. So it'll be safe. What's your name, by the way?

I'm Phoenix.
smallest: Quote by Emile ("The monster that we created.")

[personal profile] smallest 2013-12-05 08:41 am (UTC)(link)
Krrrck.

[He chirped. That was not his name, but that was all he could say. Were he in any other position that did not involve climbing pipes, perhaps he would have found a way to gesture at him or at least shake Phoenix's hand. Such pleasantries would just have to wait until they were at that somewhere safe place he mentioned.]
aceordisgraced: (big smile.)

[personal profile] aceordisgraced 2013-12-07 09:27 am (UTC)(link)
... I don't think I can pronounce that. When we're settled down let's try that again. That's probably not actually your name, right?

[He grins. No big deal. And he waves at Francoeur in a gesture to "keep moving!"]
smallest: Quote by Lucille ("It means honest heart.")

[personal profile] smallest 2013-12-07 09:42 am (UTC)(link)
[Phoenix was correct and so he nodded. Regardless of his gesturing, Francœur followed him. This man was not afraid, he was helping him, and he smiled at him. It made him smile to have met such a kind man.]
aceordisgraced: (grin.)

[personal profile] aceordisgraced 2013-12-07 11:18 am (UTC)(link)
[It won't take too long for him to find their way to safety! Opening a door, he reaches over to help Francoeur inside, sliding in after him and closing it behind him.]

Just a little ways. We might be able to find somewhere where we won't float off, too.
smallest: Quote by Madame Carlotta ("Genius needs no explanation.")

[personal profile] smallest 2013-12-10 09:19 am (UTC)(link)
[He held onto Phoenix with one gloved hand as he helped him inside. With his other hand, he kept his hat from flying off his head. The sooner they could find a way to get their feet back on the ground, the better. Moving around was hard enough being a giant flea. He was not sure how much longer he could stay like this without colliding into someone else.]
aceordisgraced: (:))

[personal profile] aceordisgraced 2013-12-11 04:23 am (UTC)(link)
[He moves slowly for him, so that he won't get caught on anything or collide with anyone.]

Aaaand, that corner over there. See? It's right between a pole attached to the ceiling so if you hold on to it you should be fine.
smallest: Quote by Paté ("Where the children were traumatised.")

[personal profile] smallest 2013-12-12 12:31 pm (UTC)(link)
[Hat, Phoenix, and a pole. Three things, two hands. He did not want to let go of Phoenix; he could fly away. If he let go of his hat, then his hat could fly away. There was a simple solution to this: use another hand. The last two fingers of one glove became limp and he reached a black claw out from inside his coat. Once he clutched the pole with his claw, he let go of Phoenix.

He looked back. Now what? He saw the corner, but he relied heavily on Phoenix for guidance.]
