The temperature on the moon is actually really cold. The base keeps it controlled, but it's probably best you've got something really warm in case there's a malfunction.

[Yikes. She had no idea it worked like that -- she'd just thought they'd managed to get a base set up on the moon somehow. The specifics had never really occurred to her. She places her cakes in the basket.]
