you came on your own, that's how you'll leave
Date & Time: 8/13-ish?
Location: some bar somewhere in the Hold
Characters: Roslyn & Tony
Summary: So how about that drinking as a method of coping with being forced to relive bad memories, huh.
Warnings: discussion of violence I imagine.
[ She hasn't been drinking constantly. But at night, heading to one of the quieter bars, the ones that the other transports don't seem to frequent - well, it's easier. Easier than sleeping, easier than not sleeping, a faster way to forgetfulness.
And that's what she wants. This entire place, this entire thing with the Initiative and the constant fuck-ups - as far as she's concerned, right now it can all just go to hell.
She sees Stark nearly as soon as he comes in the door - he's kind of hard to miss - and sighs and orders another drink for herself. Part of the point of being here was that she wouldn't have to talk to or look at anyone else who knew about that whole utter mess.
It's possible he won't notice her, and at the moment that's what she's hoping for. ]

Truth or dare.
no subject
Uhhh, truth.
no subject
What's the most embarrassing thing you've ever done?
[ she could go for philosophical hard hitting questions or she could do the drunk easy route. ]
no subject
honestly he would have done dare but he doesn't want to stand up again that quickly. serves him right, this question ]
I mixed up a Reynolds number for a Deborah number once in the middle of a presentation for class once. That was pretty humiliating.
no subject
sure does! she might not want to go for emotionally tough questions but she's not walking away without blackmail material. ... better blackmail material than that. ]
I have no idea what you just said.

Truth. [ she's not doing karaoke again, okay. ]
no subject
Have you had sex with anyone since you got brought here?
no subject
[ you didn't ask for clarification tony, that was a yes or no question and she's not adding on if she doesn't have to. ]
Truth or dare?
no subject
Gimme truth again.
no subject
Howww. How many people have you had sex with since you got here?
no subject
after a moderate number of moments: ] Wait, did you say how many people or how many times?
no subject

no subject
Well done. [ weighing pros and cons for a moment. ] Truth.
no subject
Thank you. What's your type?
no subject
My superiors. [ she's just going to keep going like that wasn't a thing she said that maybe she shouldn't have. ] Logical people. I don't really have a physical type.
no subject
Oh? [ fascinating. ] Yeah, I can see that. More the brain-attraction than the body format. I pick truth again because I don't want to get off this stool. [ Because he's not sure he can right now without potentially sliding to the floor as well. ]
no subject
and yeah well. she's never going to acknowledge having said that again unless forced to. ] Looks don't actually matter much in bed. [ see that's why she temporarily stopped drinking. ] What's the biggest lie you've ever told?
no subject
[ He downs the last bit in that glass when she asks, sets it down on the bar and lets his eyes stay downcast with it, considering. Thinking. Meanwhile, his other hand outside his field of vision is circling for another round and then falls back down by his side.
He talks, and he doesn't bullshit because yeah that line is suddenly starting to get really fuzzy, but he says it mostly to the bar top. ] That I was okay after my parents died.
[ a beat, and then all smiles. back to you. ] Your turn.
no subject
... Oh. Well, yeah, that's a pretty big lie there, and not one she feels inclined to follow up with at all. She matches his smiles with a return to her calmly neutral expression, lifts her hand for another glass because there goes that good judgment out the window. ]
Truth. Not risking movement either.
no subject
although he didn't mean to actually sober things down that much. whoops. he's glad he could make sure you keep drinking. ]
Movement is bad. I think it's happening whether I want it to or not though. Every time I move my head. What are you afraid of, and if you're boring and say 'death' you have to specify what kind.
no subject
and she's definitely still drinking at this point, because you know what why not. ]
Room spinning? [ hey that's - urgh. she sighs. ] I'm not afraid of dying. I'm afraid of surviving when others died for or because of me. [ said as straightforwardly as possible. ] Truth or dare.
no subject
so he's quiet for a moment as yinsen, right. ]
Dare. [ too much truth for a while. ]
