The people I live with. A family. [ Bariyan comes out from behind the door, surreptitiously kicks the greave back under the bed, and then returns to Feferi. He brushes his hands off and smiles. ]

All right, that's done. Now-- groceries? Also... shoes, perhaps? [ He looks down at Feferi's skates. ]

[fintastic]

[ She stares at him dumbly for a second, before she perks up again and nods. ]

Right! Shoes!

[ Right where she stands, she slips out of her skates and captchalogues them, and takes out her boots, slipping them on and lacing them quickly. ]

Shoes are good! Come on, let's go!

[ She's so fast, she's already out the door and into the snow. ]

[ Captchaloguing takes Bariyan by surprise; he's not... exactly certain, what happened there, but his first instinct is to panic and hastily look around to see if any of the natives noticed through the open door. But the streets are empty.

Bariyan rubs his jaw as Feferi dances out. ]

Er...

[ Should he bother asking? No? No, the moment's already passed. Bariyan laughs to himself, and exits the house to follow along. ]

[ It's just such an ingrained action, but from behind, it just looks like a girl changing her shoes. They could easily have been left behind just inside the door, nothing suspicious here! ]

Yes? What is it?

[ She looks back over her shoulder at his hesitation though. ]

[ Bariyan scratches his head as he catches up with Feferi, adjusting his hood against the wind. ]

Oh, nothing, really-- I was just wondering where your skates went.

[fintastic]

Oh!

[ That's right, this Bariyan isn't used to and/or resigned to strange troll possessions like sylladexes yet. ]

I captchalogued them.

[ That doesn't help. ]

Ah. Right.

[ You can almost see Bariyan going cross-eyed with confusion. He shakes his head vigorously, then laughs and waves Feferi on. ]

Never mind. We best get moving, before the wind picks up.

[fintastic]

[ Probably better that she doesn't try to explain, really. ]

Oh yeah! That would make it kind of hard to get to the store. I think the wind is the worst part about the cold.
