umadrobin & open!
Summary: Red X wants to find decent music. No luck.
Warnings: TBD
"Who listens to this!?" the thief hollars out, clearly irritated by what he's discovering. He's in the media section of the library, looking through their archives of music. Well... it's disappointing. Very disappointing. As in, it's mostly been censored and edited by the government.
No dirty lyrics. Nothing that can be considered 'subversive.' And a lot of the tracks have been edited to sound patriotic, if not jingoistic. A way of propaganda, obviously.
"This... isn't music!" he groans, almost exaggerating his outrage at the horrible choices of music. He's actually making quite a ruckus, given that it's a library, but the librarians clearly aren't going to try to do anything about it, except maybe call the authorities if he gets violent. Which he's strongly considering, at this point.
Dare approach?

... And he might just be taking this opportunity to grope her.

Also he was wrong to think she wouldn't drop him. She knew he coud use his grappling hook to catch himself, after all. But he would really need to piss her off for her to do that. And it wasn't the case here. Still she glared a bit when he squeezed her butt. "How do you expect me to focus on flying us to that club if you keep distracting me?"
She kept lifting them up, until they were higher than the nearby buildings' roofs. She smirked slightly. "I don't need to concentrate to listen to music, though..." And she took the direction of the small club she'd told him about, flying fast.

This whole time, he was... somewhat nervous. This was his first public date with Raven, unless you counted that coffee shop their first week here. And these underground clubs always had a lot seedier patrons than your average coffee shop.

"Just don't accept any drink they give you, and don't be surprised if I throw someone through a table if they come on to you."
no subject
She chuckled a bit at that. "Deal. I won't. But you shouldn't worry so much. It's not the first time I've been there, you know." She pulled the mask gently back in place before taking his hand in hers and heading for the club's door. As the bouncer saw her, he gave a polite nod and opened the door. Though he definitely did look surprise to see she was not alone. But of course, he didn't dare ask any question. Raven nodded back and stepped in, never letting go of the thief's hand. Well if this was a date, she could at least show her boyfriend she was okay with people knowing they were together.

He didn't have enough time to ask what she meant by 'not her first time there,' when he raised his eyes behind his mask at the bouncer's reaction.
Maybe he was being overprotective of her after all. When did that happen?
As she lead him inside, he looked around the room. A bar, a dancefloor, flashing lights... yep, this was a rave club. Well, at least Raven had good taste. He got a few looks - some surprised, some obviously disappointed - due to the girl clinging to his hand. "Huh," he grunted, looking around. "Not too bad, actually."
no subject
She smirked at what he said. "I thought you'd say so." She was beginning to know his tastes quite well after all. And when it came to clubs and music, they were similar to hers. She ignored the boys and girls staring at them. They could be surprised, disappointed or whatever. It wasn't as if Raven was used to caring anyway. Even when she came here alone, she didn't allow anyone to ruin her time by useless attempts at flirting with her.
Eventually she let go of his hand and went to sit on one of the stool at the bar. "Let's order something. And then we can go sit somewhere more... secluded." And she meant one of the booth at the furthest end of the dancefloor. Raven didn't dance much. She mostly came here to listen to decent music.

He looked at her with brief surprise as she hopped up on the bar stool, him taking one adjacent to her. "Uhh... I'm wearing a mask," he replied drolly, but shrugged. "You can get something. I'll wait."
Wait... someplace secluded? She wanted to do something like that in public? Oh, she has gotten bolder. He can't help but grin behind his mask.

When the barman noticed her, he flashed her a big grin completely oblivious of the masked thief sitting next to her. He obviously hadn't seen them come in. "Rooibos?" the man aked. Trust Raven to be the only girl able to order tea in a club and not look ridiculous. Whether it was because she was sexy or scary was anyone's guess, though. But she shook her head 'no'. "A coke, please. With two straws." And that was when the barman noticed Red X... To his credit, his smile only faltered for a second. Then he nodded and went to get Raven's drink.
no subject
Wait, two straws? "Sorry, Rae. If you want the mask to come off, you have to give me more than coke."

Taking a seat in the booth, he crossed his legs under the table, and turned to look at her. "I never said I'd stop being Red X."
no subject
She set her glass onto the table. The booth was only dimly lit. Especially in comparison to the bar and the dancefloor. That was one of the reasons why she liked to sit there. Raven stared at him for a moment, her face unreadable. Then she bowed her head a bit, her face shadowed by her hair.
"Did I ever ask you to?" Her voice was quiet. "You'll always be Red X and I'll always be a Titan. That's just the way it is. We both knew it when we started this." She had thought he would feel content, maybe proud even to realize she had wished to come here with him, with Red X. Not once had she suggested he took the suit off and dressed casually to come with her. Of course it would have made going out with him much easier, but she trusted he'd do it whenever he'd feel ready to.

He scoots closer to her a bit. "How about I roll the mask up half-way?"

"So, really, when did you start coming here? That bartender knows you."
no subject
In turn, she took a sip of coke and leaned slightly against him.
"Then I started liking it. The bartender's nice. Not curious. He doesn't ask questions."
no subject
"Wow, a guy who doesn't wanna ask you questions. Too good to be true," he replies sarcastically, leaning over to kiss her temple.
no subject
"Tch, yeah. Too bad they don't have them work shirtless here, he'd be every girl's fantasy." And she started tracing random patterns onto his chest, like she always did when she felt relaxed. She liked that they could tease each other like this.
no subject
"I think you'd get sick of the liver spots after a while," he replied, relaxing a bit as he felt the tracing again. Yeah... that was one of her little habits. Honestly, he liked it, even if it seemed a bit weird at first. He responded by leaning over to kiss the top of her head, again.
