Wordlessly, Koltira did as he was told. He was accustomed both to issuing and receiving orders, and he accessed that part of himself now, the man capable of a single-minded focus on the task at hand. He waited several beats of time before following Bariyan and Roslyn, and even then he moved at a deliberate pace. If necessary, he could grant himself--and Ashraf--the speed to catch up. For now, though, he meant to stay as far away as possible.
