[ He knows it's impolite, at least that much was made clear to him the many times Dean snapped at Cas for being 'creepy' and watching him while he slept. No doubt Sam would feel similar discomfort with the fact the angel was leaning over his slumbering form, sitting on the edge of his bed and speaking directly into his ear at too close a range. Normally, the weight of his stare seems heavy enough to rouse even the deepest of sleepers, but this time, he doesn't wait for him to wake up naturally.

He doesn't have the luxury of time, even here. ]

Date & Time: July 13 - 20

Summary: As detailed in this OOC announcement, Castiel returns home with some additional baggage, some of which he's offloaded onto others -- an elf, a troll, various others in this dystopian world. Now, this Leviathan is off to visit some friends.
Warnings: Creepy leviathan behavior, violence, language.


[ There is a soft patter of liquid dripping off Castiel's sodden overcoat, a trickle of oily black liquid trailing down from inside his sleeve through the curve of his palm, collecting at the tip of his thumb and... with no place else to go, it falls into a growing puddle at his feet.

He's weary from expelling the others from the angel, thought that for a moment he would have exploded entirely but he held on miraculously. What damage that had already been done was healing itself, albeit slowly, and now he looks every bit like a sick, oil-covered and dazed angel. His clothes are stained with blood -- all of it belonging to innocent lives lost while the angel was drunk on souls and believing so badly that he could fix everything -- waterlogged and pulses of black liquid spreading beneath his skin as the Leviathan swam through his veins. Otherwise, he looked the part of Castiel... except the angel is dead, or close enough to it to pose no threat. And perhaps serve as a convenient snack when his time came.

Weariness could only be combated with food, not rest, and for now his largest priorities were to get in touch with the others, to learn what insight they had gathered from their new shapes... and a few of the people this angel once sought to protect and heal. There was a clinic, the angel's closest companions and numerous others who were easy pickings, and nothing quite stirred the appetite like seeing recognition and abject horror coming from a potential first course. ]

Summary: This is an open log for clinic interactions. Since the paging thread hasn't done what I hoped, let's try this instead.
Warnings: Possibly gross body stuff, otherwise nothing warningworthy should be happening here; people can take it to locked threads or museboxes if they really want to get frisky, yes?

Setting 1: Reception room

Can it really be called a waiting room? It's more a sitting-around room, a snacking room, a chatting room. There's a water cooler with disposable cups, and there are coffee table books instead of magazines. Among the books are a history of Exsilium, a study of architecture in Exsilium, and various public-health-information pamphlets of the same general provenance as that horrible VD comic book Anders distributed on Valentine's Day.

In an array of little bins on a sideboard, you can find:

wrapped hard candies
cat treats
wrapped toothbrushes
little tubes of toothpaste
packets of dental floss
condoms
tampons
adhesive bandages (Exsilium's version of band-aids)
single-dose packets of aspirin, ibuprofen, etc.

Setting 2: Staff lounge

There are couches in here for napping. There is also a refrigerator, and a coffee machine, and a water cooler, and a microwave, and a plate of rice krispy treats skinned over with plastic wrap.

One of the cupboards boasts a stash of high-protein snacks, courtesy of Isaac, who doesn't mind sharing.

Sometimes there is an orange cat on the couch. Sometimes there is no cat, but there is cat fur to show where he's been.

Setting 3: An exam room

For them what already knows what they're here for and aren't wanting to thread waiting-room chitchat.

[ Castiel had knocked -- that's right, knocked -- on Sam's apartment door, having vacated Dean's apartment the moment he'd returned to his own age. Thank God for that, for more than the reason that Sam wasn't a child anymore... but because Dean, as Sam knows so well, can be difficult to deal with at times. There are times when anyone could use a little break, and this is where missions come in handy. One can escape the dystopian ghetto of Exsilium for something a bit 'old fashioned'.

And when Sam opens the door, Castiel informs him that he intends for them both to do exactly that: ]

Date & Time: February 12th - February 14th

Summary: Separation Awareness Day is a festival and time of celebration for the hard won and retained freedoms of those who live on the island of Exsilium. Separate from the United Earth, they continue to exist, and thrive in their own way. As those identified as teenagers and children are showered with gifts of sweets, foods, and toys from the adult population, merchants are selling on the streets and color had invaded the often grey atmosphere. Feasting is practically a law, singing can be heard in the streets, and instruments that may stay safely indoors most the year are brought out to encourage dancing and such other frivolities as are rarely seen.

The night of the 14th there are fireworks shows throughout the city, with the most impressive display being launched from the remains of Buckingham Palace.

Summary: Celebration of Dean's birthday with a young!Sam who has been affected by time shenanigans.

[ This day had (at least in the last few years) held a special place for Castiel. Dean's birthday had some of his fondest memories, and with Sam -- a younger version of him -- now with them, Castiel could include him. Sam would have a better idea as to Dean's tastes (and he suspected they hadn't changed much over the years, judging from how much of a 'kid at heart' Dean was)... and the angel had Marks with which to procure them with. Castiel had insisted that not only did Sam come with him to shop, but that they go so far as to bake him a pie from scratch along with dinner.

The results were more than adequate, albeit expensive both in time and Marks... not to mention the mess it made of the kitchen and their clothes, where the occasional spill of flour or pie filling had left its mark on them both.

But it had been worth it.

By the time Dean returned, the apartment was filled with a mouth-watering scent of charred beef and crispy bacon... the angel hovering over a frying pan as he brought it's contents to a plate manned by a young Sam Winchester, who was, judging from the quiet muttering between them, the brains of this culinary operation. The pie was covered in a cloth, kept warm for until the birthday boy came back. ]

Date & Time: November 23rd, evening.
Location: Room 210
Characters: Castiel and Takegami Teijirou (although Dean Winchester can enter in anytime).
Summary: Castiel has moved himself in the empty room adjacent to Dean's, suddenly and without warning. To make for an even more profound invasion of personal space, he knocked down the wall for some uninvited remodeling. His roommates might have a thing or two to say about it, particularly Takegami.

Summary: Transports will be sent to the island three days in advance, and wait for a Barbary pirate ship to dock. When it does, the Transports will have the task of commandeering this ship and sailing it to another island within the Mediterranean, where they will leave the vessel and its cargo at the disposal of the residents of the island.

[ The one good thing about brutal slayings was that if the victim was still able to call for aid, and aid arrived in a timely manner... whomever did the healing felt a certain sense of accomplishment after. Besides, you know, the obvious -- the remarkable turn of fortune in the injured party's favor, whose life was saved.

The bad thing? Trying to get the bloodstains off your fingers with whatever was at hand, in this case only a crumpled bit of paper that was about as absorbent as newsprint -- which is to say, not at all.

The distant sound of feathers and the low whump of air suddenly shoved out of place to accommodate the angel's form signals his arrival, Castiel's deepening frown as he all but shredded the overused paper towel over hands sticky with red up to the wrist, announcing: ]

He'll live. [ He sighs, giving up on the task of scrubbing out the stains on his hands and tossing the bit of paper into a bin. This isn't his first time witnessing someone impossibly defying the odds despite gruesome injuries, one of his many qualifications for this job... and, incidentally, this served as a convenient excuse to spend time with a rare friend at the clinic. ]

Although I suspect there may be psychological damage that will need attending to by more qualified individuals.

Heralded by the distant sound of feathered wings beating at the air and a whump, two familiar faces enter the armory with it's sterile white and bruised purple decor. There's no real need for recruits to enter the armory again once they have already been issued one of their own, right?

So what were these two doing back?

It's the woman they're after -- the female greeter -- eager to seek out that professionally cordial and cold Initiative representative with her severe hair and equally severe robes of black and purple. The angel separates from the human, turning away and waiting for Dean to make the first move before trailing after him.
