What a day to be blue
Date & Time: 7th, morning tiemz
Location: small lake in the woods
Characters: Vanadi and Aileen
Summary: Oh look its that one flirty guy oh he looks sad :CC
Warnings: we shall see??
[Aileen had gone out to the woods again, this time not for the ocean but just to see the lakes nearby. The first one she finds is as bad as she expected; filthy and full of dead water. She's seen the mutant animals running about, this is probably part of that in the first place.
It doesn't take her long to slip out of her shoes and wade a bit in, a ring of clarity stretching out on the water's surface around her ankles. Leaning over to dip her fingers in as well gets the same effect, but she can't help but sigh.
She knows she can clean the lake, knows she can clean the lot of them with just her touch; but she also knows nature is nature and it's only a temporary fix. But still, she wants to try.]

If only I were so confident.

Ah... [ One more second, and he's animated again. ] ...I see no reason not to be! There are quite a few magic users here, did you know that?
no subject
Though, my confidence has always been in my work, I'd have to say.

[She looks out at the trees around them.] Ready to head back?
no subject
Tell me, what precisely can you do with the full spectrum?
no subject
Quite a bit in dire situations. Magic has a wider range of capabilities, at least in my own practice; while medical training is far more precise, you don't need to summon the same type of energy or focus if you know exactly how the body is reacting from experience.

Medicine doesn't do very well with old scars, once they've healed over. I suppose it would be too much to expect magic would have a different answer.
no subject
It would be, yes. Scars are the wound after its already healed, after all.

So he shifts, holding out his right arm. He pushes down the cloth of his sleeve to show off the underside of his wrist, and the jagged, dark scar down it. It's about three inches long, narrow, almost black, and with small dark veins radiating outward. ]
A pity! I would love to rid myself of this beauty.

[ He gently pulls his arm back and lowers the sleeve again, rubbing the wrist once or twice through the fabric. It's the least loathed scar he owns, really, and it reminds him of Cittágazze. All in all, he's almost fond of it. ]
And it has an interesting story, at least! "Clawed by a zombie", how many people can claim that, do you think?
no subject
But like a trooper, she smiles back at him.] ...Your guess is as good as mine. I do hope you got it properly looked at afterward, of course?
no subject
[ He drops the arm and takes hers again, watching the trees ahead of them with a wide smile. ]
Oh, you ought to have seen him! Perfect body, a charming smile...
no subject
[She lets him take her arm, glad at least that itself seems gentlemanly and not flirtatious.]

[ He falls silent for a few seconds, then lets out a sigh. ]
I must sound rather mad, talking about these things.
no subject
[But the stuff about windows? Welll..again. Not so far-fetched to her.]
I do think, though, that if you feel so strongly for this man that you might want to take a page from his book.
no subject
He wouldn't mind.
no subject
And you think he'll wait for you? My, he must be quite the patient man.
no subject
[ Vanadi kind of hopes he... isn't waiting, actually. A guy like Steve should be happy, not stuck waiting around for someone like Vanadi. ]
Ah, but nevermind that. You'll see what I mean when I find my way back, and there's really no use bragging until then.
no subject
But for now I think it might be better to focus on the here and now. We are stuck a war. [Says the pacifist.]

I'd have to say I am glad for a lack of them thus far. Healing the sick and dying has put quite enough on my own plate.
