[Ezio is a man of knowledge. The more he knew, the better prepared he could be for anything and everything possible. Too often has he seen people caught off-guard and fail for one single missing piece of information.

As it happens, he's trying to learn the layout of the Hold. The quickest routes in, the most complicated ones, the buildings more adequate for climbing and scouting. You can find him nearly anywhere in his Assassin garb, hood on, stalking about the place.]

Oh, Italian? The first I've heard since I got here. [His Italian is fluent, but it has hints of Mexican Spanish in the inflection. He never did get rid of his accent, but it's not bad.]

Kinda amazing, all of these languages and no Italian.

[He's looking towards this new guy with an amused smile.] The name's Blaine. You are?

Is there a need to be that secretive? [Just lifting an eyebrow.] Good to meet you, Ezio.

[Absolutely.] Some feel there is a reason to not be known.

Hmmm, I guess so. Secrets to hide and all that.

Where did you learn to run and jump around so skillfully?

[mentore]

Back home. My brother taught me.

[strategic_guile]

I had sisters, so I can braid hair. Not nearly as cool. [Laughs]

[mentore]

[Ezio chuckles while shaking his head.] It seems such things are even stranger here.

[strategic_guile]

Ahhh, braiding hair isn't that strange is it? [Jokingly]

Perhaps in some places it is.

[strategic_guile]

I'll have to keep that a secret then. Assuming you won't tell?

[Lifts eyebrow]

Were you practicing or do you just not like walking the streets when you can flip around like a ninja?

[mentore]

I try to keep healthy. If I can find a way to practice, I will.

[strategic_guile]

I guess exercise machines are pretty boring in comparison.

[mentore]

Most of this is nothing I am used to.

What kind of technology did you have back home?

[mentore]

Certainly not this.

[strategic_guile]

It's a lot if you're not used to technology. If you want a hand learning it, I wouldn't mind teaching you if I know how to work it. I'd like to talk more, anyway. I don't get to practice my Italian much.

I would appreciate the help. This is all I have for communication and it is far too advanced from what I know.

[Even though it's true, it's not said with an edge of frustration and annoyance.]

Read, somewhat, messages... not quite.

[Grins] Don't like all the reading? We're a chatty bunch, I know.

The reading I am used to is not on this. I prefer reading from a book on paper.

We don't have many books on paper in my time. Electronic things like this are the standard. It takes up less space, you can keyword search and take detailed audio notes, and all sorts of things. [Rubs his fingers together] There are few pieces of information we feel like paper books.
