[to be fair, Martin's not had a grand track record where keeping in touch is concerned. but still...he's a changed thing, isn't he? from thing to person, if he kept his Darkov thinking. and this person has friends. and when a friend isn't responding or around...he's got to look, right?

Martin's meandering around, trying to think up places she could be. the apartments yielded nothing, nor the market...so to training room, to the perimeter...maybe the city? as far as he can go without causing his contract concern.

now and then, suspecting a shape within earshot:] ...Chloe?

[ Artemis' ears perk up at the word. Normally, he would ignore it, but he recognizes that voice and turns to face the teen. He doesn't know Martin very well, but he's made a good enough impression on the fey, which doesn't actually happen very often.

He gives a slight shake of his head. ]

I'm afraid not. Did you need help finding someone?

[well, alright. Martin's way off this time around and he knows it the second the name's out of his mouth. he halts, quickly straightening up, big eyes blinking as a face turns to him and–

oh!

he knows him.]

Ah, excuse me... [his head ducks a little, mouth tugging on one side sheepishly.] I'm starting to say it before even being sure...

AWW YEEAH

[ He gives a small nod of understanding, offering a bit of a reassuring smile as he makes his way over to where Martin is standing. ]

Have you tried calling this Chloe on her communicator? Or are you still having trouble working it?

There's a way to make it just to her, isn't there? [it was, conveniently or not, tucked under his arm the whole time, so it's just a matter of fidgeting and pulling the thing into view, tilted like his own head.] I've never figured that out. Could you show me?

[ He nods once more, reaching for the communicator and then moving so that Martin will easily be able to see the screen as he presses buttons-- which requires a bit of hunching down on Artemis' part. ]

Do you know her last name...?

[for Artemis' sake, Martin at least tries to stand tiptoe for as long as he's thinking about it...but this kid's never been one for multitasking, winding up flat-footed as he watches screens and options flicker by.

it takes a second for him to actually recognize the question as a question.]

Oh... [OH. he jolts a little.] Ah...Sonders. [...wait. he frowns.] Sanders? It...sounded like those two, but...

[ He only has to type the first letter of her last name before it pops up, and he offers Martin a smile. ]

This is her right here, yeah?

[ He hands the communicator back to him. ]

It's sent to message her privately now. [ A pause. ] If she doesn't respond, I have other ways of finding people.

he smiles up at him.] Thank you for helping me. I don't think I'd get very far on my own...
