[to be fair, Martin's not had a grand track record where keeping in touch is concerned. but still...he's a changed thing, isn't he? from thing to person, if he kept his Darkov thinking. and this person has friends. and when a friend isn't responding or around...he's got to look, right?

Martin's meandering around, trying to think up places she could be. the apartments yielded nothing, nor the market...so to training room, to the perimeter...maybe the city? as far as he can go without causing his contract concern.

now and then, suspecting a shape within earshot:] ...Chloe?

[ well, he might not find who he's looking for, but he definitely manages to find someone else. in fact, asa nearly runs into him when rounding a street corner, managing to startle himself into a quick, instinctive flinch back. for a second or two, the instinctive urge to run is nearly overpowering-- but after a lifetime of dealing with it and learning how to control it, it goes away quickly enough.

tall and thin and fine-boned, with unusual feet supported by heeled boots, asa is a somewhat unusual figure. of course, that might be more due to the small black antlers and deerlike ears, as well as the nearly perpetually surprised look on aondrogynous features.

he blinks once, hard, then offers a tentative, apologetic smile. ]

[ Artemis' ears perk up at the word. Normally, he would ignore it, but he recognizes that voice and turns to face the teen. He doesn't know Martin very well, but he's made a good enough impression on the fey, which doesn't actually happen very often.

He gives a slight shake of his head. ]
