Date & Time: Over the course of a few days during some vague point of November.....
Location: The Catacombs
Characters: Everybooody (yeaaa-aaah)
Summary: Time to explore some caves. Grab your backpack! Let's go! Ivaminos!
Warnings: who even knows, really bad jokes.

The caverns were massive and expansive. They certainly weren't going to run out of places to look, which, considering this was a jaunt fueled largely by boredom, was encouraging. Down below, there were the remains of the emergency camps and makeshift dwellings the natives and transports had made during the bombing a few months earlier. Beyond that were relics of ages past, in various degrees of decomposition, including a somewhat distressing amount of CDs that seemed to be largely made up of boybands from the 1990's stacked neatly at the end of one cavern.

Clearly this called for further exploration.

( The chest resists at first, age gumming down the hinges and lip. Rust coats the back hinges, though with a little persistence (or a few decent kicks), something will give and the hinges will crack right off. Lifting the top will reveal silverware made of actual silver, three tea cups two saucers, a journal, a band of metal in the shape of a ring, and a tiny figurine of Cthulhu. )

It's... what the hell. [He quickly digs through, hoping for something more interesting. Frowning, he holds up the journal and the Cthulhu figurine.]

A buncha junk. Shoulda known.

( Collette takes that in... and crawls to the point of his shoulder carefully as she laughs in his head. )

< A squid monster statue? That's crazy! The rest sounds pretty much usable. I bet it was someone's prized possessions, like a hope chest or something. >

( Hope chests didn't really work that way, kiddo. )

( She trundles back toward his neck, claws clutching at the fabric of his shirt. )

( She clicks, getting another read of the area, realizing that the nod that followed would be lost given their relative positions. )

< There might be another cave linked up to this one. We can see if we find that! Though in a little bit I'm going to need to take a five minute break or so. >

< Works for me! I've got to take off for a bit. Just wait here please! >

( With no further warning, she tumbles off his shoulder and flaps her wings hard to pull away. Collette doesn't go far -- around a few stalagmites -- before coming down into an awkward landing and beginning to demorph.

Shifting dirt and a few popping sounds accompany her disappearance as the demorphing process begins. )

( Responding right as she enters the stage where enough of her mouth and vocal chords are around to deactivate the Thought Speak which came along with each foreign morph, she finishes with a jumbled: )

--pppppfffhing. Demorphing. Sorry, can I have another minute?
