Date & Time: 18th, beginning at 2100 hours, through to the 20th.
Location: All around Exsilium.
Characters: Everyone!
Summary: The United Earth decides Exsilium had obviously not learned its lesson back in October, and does another round of humble-making bombing for those impertinent exiles. OOC info can be found here.
Warnings: Violence, death, general gloom and doom.

The warning had gone out approximately two hours before the bombing began, broadcast to any available receptor on the island: UE aggressions incoming, bombs expected; please proceed to Catacombs immediately. It repeats over and over, right up until the first bomb, aimed at the Hold itself, silences the signal.

The air is thick with smoke and worse. Every one to two hours another bomb shakes the island. Buildings crumble and shatter, but the focus is on the Hold and the native hospital. Initiative employees, some sick as anyone else, are steadfast in their escorting natives and transports alike into the underground catacombs. For two days the bombs continue ceaselessly, dropped by their cloaked and invisible carriers overhead.

The United Earth is nothing if not thorough.

[After learning Erza had returned, Juvia thought it would be a good idea to finally greet and meet up with her friend (despite the current circumstances...). So that is exactly what she did. Unfortunately, the conversation was cut short when Zeref appeared in sight. His dark aura and change in his eyes was definitely not a good thing.

All Juvia could do was frown and take a step forward so she was by the redheads side, with her hand out in front of her]

Zeref? Don't tell Juvia you're already planning on doing something?

[It felt like just yesterday she warned him about this too]

[ Zeref pauses, as Erza jumps out in front of him, already clad in her armor - even if she was clearly in no condition to fight. ]

Get out of my way. [ He says quietly, his voice guttural and chilling. But as soon as he says this, there's Juvia. He's not going to force his way through them, obviously; he absolutely will not harm Natsu's friends. But he's damn sure going to try to convince them to let him through. ]

I can't let this continue, or let them harm Natsu. [ This is what he was worried about; that United Earth would be as awful as the Initiative made them sound, and that he'd see no value in their lives, and thus have no problem killing them. Took them two weeks. Not quite as fast as Hades, but pretty damn close. ]

They deserve to die for this.

Natsu is fine.

[Even if one of these bombs hit Natsu in the face it likely wouldn't even phase him; unless he was riding it for some reason. Still Erza didn't underestimate Zeref and she was grateful for Juvia's presence.]

Maybe so, but spilling more blood won't stop this.

[If anything it could make things worse. She gestures down the corridor behind Zeref.]

We're supposed to be protecting these people.

What are we going to do now Miss Erza? Should we fight him?

[Of course fighting Zeref would be a last resort. Juvia didn't think they would stand a chances anywho, despite how strong she thought Erza was and the fact that he had yet to actually do anything.

In retrospect, Juvia didn't like what the United Earth and the Initiative were doing either and in a way she could see Zeref's point- to a certain extent that is. But all in all, this whole bombing up the place...well it all seemed pointless and didn't really make any sense to her. It did put a slight damper on her mood. She frowned, getting into a defensive stance just in case]

Juvia is going to have to agree with Miss Erza on this one. This might not be the best strategy, if anything, just simply defeating them would be better. [And not killing them...]

Doing nothing will not ensure any of their safety. It will only enable the United Earth to come back and try again later. [ Hence why he killed Hades. He drew him out of hiding and summoned Acnologia. He needed to die before he did any more damage, and he had already done an awful lot. ]

Don't. [ He turned to Juvia. Those piercing red eyes... ] I don't want to hurt either of you, but I am not content to sit idly while people are killed.

[ The black energy swirling around him didn't seem to be fading. Whatever they saw of Zeref before, this was definitely the Zeref of legend, the Black Wizard, the Killing Mage. ]

Step aside. The people in here are safe. Those still outside are not.

Zeref!

[While the Black Wizard's aura made Erza flinch, she did not shift from her position. Her heart was racing but the Fairy Tail wizard would not back down.]

Then don't sit by and do nothing; tend to the wounded, help with the rescue efforts or defend this building but killing someone just so they may never hurt you isn't justice.

This place represents a second chance for some, more so for you. The Guild believes that you can be a better person than you were. If you would trample on that faith then I'll kindly ask you to stay away from my friends.

[A sword appeared in her free hand. She was concerned for Juvia at her side; she would have preferred the water-wizard to get clear. Titania turned to face Zeref with all the relentless courage for which she was known.]

I won't accept your preferential treatment; before I let you harm anyone you'll have to kill me first.

[And she meant every word.]
