Date: December 1st
Location: The Observatory.
Characters: Everyone.
Summary: New Transports arrive and are shuffled into the Observatory after their initial briefings.
Warnings: None.
Your arrival here has been very unceremonious. One second you were somewhere else, and now, very suddenly, your feet hit the glowing white of the Transporter pad, and you're here. You aren't alone, either. There's a crowd of others around you, each seeming just as bewildered, angry, or confused as you might feel. At the head of the group is a woman in purple robes, solemn and taciturn. She hurries over a quick overview of your intended purpose here, and gives direct answers when asked for them, but to most things she simply shows you how to access the tablet you've just been given, or tells you that the DITR's greeters will explain everything. On the tablet, you can find the history of this place and a record of what your new cohorts have experienced. Someone stands on hand to give you a weapon, and though the armory is now greatly reduced, you should be able to find something to suit you.
You're shepherded down a walkway tunnel and into the Observatory, where you will find screens mounted on three sides of the wide room; they show multiple variations of satellite images, focused on... somewhere snowy. It's difficult to say more than that, but those that record heat readings seem to suggest there are people there, where ever "there" is. It's night outside the great wide windows, and the lunar landscape isn't much to look at right now. But, hey, at least all the lights are on, right? No more creepy red emergency lighting upon arrival — not that you'd know anything about that.
You're free to explore the base, visit and use any of the VR rooms, or discover your new room and roommates, but try not to step out of any airlocks if oxygen is a requirement for your system.
Welcome to the moon base, and to the remains of Exsilium.
[[ ooc; As a note for players of current characters: please keep your root comments confined to the various groups and organizations that set up root comments to greet new characters! We highly encourage tagging around here, but since it's a log meant for new characters specifically, we ask that they be the ones to set up root threads to the entry. Thank you, and happy playing! ]]

Seiya / Star Fighter | OTA
However, as she emerged into the Obersvatory, that bad mood fell away and she was immediately drawn to the lunar sky at night. Maybe to others it was a cold vastness, but she could see the lights out there - the distant stars and planets of other galaxies, even her own. It was strangely... homey to her.
So she let her throbbing headache disappear as she leaned against the glass, completely unfazed by how perilous a 'drop' into the abyss it may appear to others. She was still in her concert clothes and had a new bandage around her head courtesy of the debriefing team. The bright red suit and long black ponytail of a male pop star didn't exactly blend in with the moonbase.

Hearing someone entering a few minutes after her, she glanced over her shoulder curiously, smiling a greeting, though a worried gaze flicked over the sight of the bandage. Still, the pop star looked like he was just as fascinated with the stars as she was, and after a moment, she spoke up. "Beautiful, aren't they?" She was glad she could still see such things after the dangerous situation they were in - when everyone was down and gloomy.
no subject
She held up her hands to the glass. "I don't know these as well as others, but..." She started tracing patterns - they had all picked out birthdays and signs comparable to back home. "Leo... and Gemini... and Aquarius..." She turned to Lucy and gave a little grin. "I'm afraid I've forgotten the rest."
But she was cute enough to flirt with. "I think the nameless ones have it harder though - they have to shine bright enough we remember them on beauty alone." Seiya winked playfully.
no subject
A pause, and she laughed sheepishly, "I guess you could say I'm a bit of an aficionado when it comes to the stars." She absently patted the keys at her side. "There are lots of others, but those ones are the ones of the Zodiac. Well..except for Nikora." But he was cute enough to be part of the zodiac!
She grinned at the wink, shaking her head, "All the stars have names - we just haven't learned their stories yet. But you have a point - it's easier for a lot of people, to remember the ones who already have names and tales to tell. So it's even more reason to remember the ones who don't have voices of their own yet, lest they fade into obscurity." She offered a hand, as an afterthought, because otherwise she'd babble endlessly about the stars. "My name is Lucy. Lucy Heartfilia."
And now I'm on episode 8, thanks a lot B(
Since she was so interested in it, though, Seiya gestured back to space. "If you know this much about the stars, I wonder if you know about the planets and galaxies beyond." Maybe charming the answers out of people would work. "You work here, right? So you must know a lot about what goes on."
I-I'm sorry D8! W..what did I do? Q_Q
She chuckles again, shaking her head, "I'm afraid I don't know much else about the other planets and galaxies.. the only other planet I've been to, other than my own home and this one, is Edolas. I don't suppose you've heard of it?" Probably not. "I don't work here though. I've just been here for... a little over a year now." Time has flown really quickly. A lot has happened. "I can try to answer any questions you have though."
I started watching Fairy Tail on youtube XD;
And that... well that answered a big one. She was absolutely dumbfounded. "A year?!" Forget Edolas. "Why are you still here after that long if you don't work here?" It really must be against her will, surely. "Hasn't anyone... tried to escape?"
OH! Then I'm not sorry >:D

Re: Seiya / Star Fighter | OTA
He shifts the grip on his helmet from one hand to the other, sighing in a put-upon manner before speaking. Casual; like he's just walked up to someone else who missed the same bus or something. ] You think they'd have the foresight of grabbing us sooner.
Re: Seiya / Star Fighter | OTA
I don't know... if their goal was to disrupt our own work, then the timing was perfect.
[She pointed at his wound.] They patch you up too?
no subject
This? [ He reached up and motioned to his temple with index finger as if tapping it. ] Just a scratch. [ Exaggeration of the HIGHEST order, but there was nothing to show that he wasn't used to his eyes working at their fullest. After what he's been through, a headache is nothing. ]

He looked down at himself, and the helmet, and then something dawned on him. Was the guy mistaking it for a ski suit? ] Heh, piloting is a bit more exciting than snowboarding.
no subject
You said you're a pilot? As in a fighter jet pilot? So that makes you a kind of warrior, right?

Poking his head in and taking a quick glance around, he checked for any familiar faces, and his heart sank a little when he didn't manage to spot Xion anywhere in the sea of transports. It seemed she wouldn't be making an appearance with the new batch. With a sigh, Lea starts to head back to the hall, considering maybe just borrowing one of the empty rooms in the west wing when something catches his eye. There's a figure apart from the rest of the chattering crowd, just leaning against the domed glass of the observatory.
Intrigued, Lea moved cautiously toward the newcomer. Arrival Day tended to be a little too noisy for his taste, but this fellow at least looked less obnoxious than others. Hands in his pockets and book under his arm, Lea leans forward to see if he's looking at anything in particular.
"Landscape doesn't change much, I'm afraid."
oh sup
Then she turned to face him. "Please, tell me - have I been kidnapped?" This guy was just walking around, though. It wouldn't make much sense to let your prisoners wander, so maybe there was something else going on. "I have important things to take care of back on Ear--"
Her head suddenly hurt all over again and she put both hands up to try and stop the pain. "We don't have much time left."
no subject
He made a wordless noise of consideration then, and put a hand on his chin.
"Not sure I'd call it kidnapped, exactly," he said. "More like 'borrowed'. Like yeah, we can't go home, but we pretty much have full autonomy and freedom within this place. And... eventually we'll be going back planetside, I imagine. So it's not like we're impriso-- Hey, are you okay?"
He cut himself off and lifted a hand when the stranger pressed both hands to his head, looking like he was in some serious pain. There was a bandage around his head, but Lea didn't see any blood or anything. He didn't touch the man, but his hands sort of lingered near him as if to catch him if he fell.
"Dude, if you're still in bad shape you should go back to the clinic," he said. "I think most of the staff is transports like us, so they'll fix you up right."
no subject
She gave a wry grin though. "Is it because we're just being 'borrowed' you think they'd help me? It's not nice to give a performer the hook before they've finished, you know." Oh but she had no right to joke right now, did she?
"I won't expect a guy like you to know who I am, though. That's okay." She was still royally irritated and tried to keep a lid on the tone, but it snuck out anyway. "If you say there's a way to get back to Earth, I'd like to be pointed in that direction. Moonbase or whatever space technology they're working on here doesn't interest me. I know plenty about space already."
And it was in danger.
no subject
Lea looked a little indignant then.
"And what's that supposed to mean, a 'guy like me'?" he asked, folding his arms. "You just met me like forty-five seconds ago, how do you know what kind of guy I am?"
He wasn't entirely sure this guy was okay, the way he was still gripping his head and all, but if he was going to insist he was fine Lea wasn't about to force him back to the clinic. He shifted his weight where he stood and hummed to himself briefly.
"Well, the earth kinda got nuked," he said, "so they're making sure it's safe before they give the all-clear to head back to the surface. Not sure you wanna go down just yet."
no subject
Panic caught in her throat now. "What the heck does that mean? Huh? The whole planet can't have been..." No, it definitely could have been. Galaxia may have that kind of power now, after devouring Kinmoku's Star Seeds. Maybe she'd even found the Princess--
"I'm begging you." Her eyes dropped to the ground. "You have to tell me it wasn't the whole planet-- at least not Japan."

Re: np~
the continued story of usagi and seiya
Now that they've begun their tour, Usagi occasionally turns her head to study her new friend. Seiya looks so cold from the outside, huh? And...maybe just slightly cute. But in her idle thinking, she comes back to a topic she'd neglected earlier.
Her hands fly to her mouth, and she resists the temptation to bite worriedly.
"You're hurt?"
Huzzah!
She offered her arm to Usagi. "Shall we continue?"
no subject
"What about a drink? I messed up the cookies, but I think I can get lemonade. Just lemon juice and sugar, right?"
no subject
Resisting the urge to keep teasing, Seiya just laughed at Usagi's cheerfulness. She'd missed it so much these past few days. "You said there's rooms for each of us, right? Can you help me find mine and then we'll make lemonade together?"
no subject
"This could be harder than it looks. Tell me if you need to rest, okay?"
no subject
Seiya was walking fine now, even though her head was throbbing a little. "But I promise to say so if I need it."
