(no subject)

Date: December 1st
Location: The Observatory.
Characters: Everyone.
Summary: New Transports arrive and are shuffled into the Observatory after their initial briefings.
Warnings: None.

Your arrival here has been very unceremonious. One second you were somewhere else, and now, very suddenly, your feet hit the glowing white of the Transporter pad, and you're here. You aren't alone, either. There's a crowd of others around you, each seeming just as bewildered, angry, or confused as you might feel. At the head of the group is a woman in purple robes, solemn and taciturn. She hurries over a quick overview of your intended purpose here, and gives direct answers when asked for them, but to most things she simply shows you how to access the tablet you've just been given, or tells you that the DITR's greeters will explain everything. On the tablet, you can find the history of this place and a record of what your new cohorts have experienced. Someone stands on hand to give you a weapon, and though the armory is now greatly reduced, you should be able to find something to suit you.

You're shepherded down a walkway tunnel and into the Observatory, where you will find screens mounted on three sides of the wide room; they show multiple variations of satellite images, focused on... somewhere snowy. It's difficult to say more than that, but those that record heat readings seem to suggest there are people there, where ever "there" is. It's night outside the great wide windows, and the lunar landscape isn't much to look at right now. But, hey, at least all the lights are on, right? No more creepy red emergency lighting upon arrival — not that you'd know anything about that.

You're free to explore the base, visit and use any of the VR rooms, or discover your new room and roommates, but try not to step out of any airlocks if oxygen is a requirement for your system.

Welcome to the moon base, and to the remains of Exsilium.

[[ ooc; As a note for players of current characters: please keep your root comments confined to the various groups and organizations that set up root comments to greet new characters! We highly encourage tagging around here, but since it's a log meant for new characters specifically, we ask that they be the ones to set up root threads to the entry. Thank you, and happy playing! ]]

[Oh boy, this was starting to get complicated. She knew about time travel in theory - Sailor Pluto guarded the gate for Earth's solar system - but to experience it firsthand like this...]

[So she shook the hand firmly, still looking a little dazed.] That would... explain why a friend didn't recognize me, certainly. Thank you, Neil. [Seiya likewise considered correcting Neil, but left it for now. At the very least, without Taiki or Yaten around, there would be no confusion as to which 'Kou' Neil was referring to. Give her a few days and she might start to realize that Galaxia was definitely not involved in any of the magical timewarp shenanigans.]

Anyway, I did mean a Live performance - it was in an amusement park, but we've basically run the Idol gamut recently. [She said that with pride, at least. No reason to stop marketing herself now.]

Wait, so someone you know already is here too? [ That question overrode any desire to shoot the breeze about pop music performances he wouldn't have been aware of in the first place. ] Did they arrive when you did? [ With a place this small and a network so limited there is no way someone who was aware of him, Celestial Being, or even on a list of high profiles names would be able to hide out amongst those who were here. Was there? Lockon isn't a spy but it looks like he'll have to be more conscious of this than he anticipated. It worries him. ]

[Well now that Neil thought it was strange, Seiya wasn't about to turn the conversation back.]

No, I don't think so. She seems to know her way around pretty well - and that's saying something for her. She couldn't have gotten here today and be this familiar.

[Seiya grew concerned. How to explain the rest of it without revealing themselves.] Then again, there was a lot more she didn't remember than just me. [Trying to gauge Neil's reaction, Seiya continued.] Does that sound odd to you? Why?

I don't like the sound of that. It almost sounds like she could've hit her head or something like that. [ The easiest conclusions are amnesia and/or brainwashing, with what little context he has. Those ideas are quite unsettling, and it's starting to show.

Though after a few moments of concentrated effort, he shakes his head. ]
Headache aside, I don't feel like anyone's gone rotting around my brain at least.

Sorry thought my vacation would have better internet access

There are other possibilities... [Magical ones.] But you're right. I don't like the sound of that either.

[She also knew so far that her own powers were working, so that much bolstered her confidence.] I've done some tests of my own. Other than wishing I had my guitar so I had something to do, I seem to be in proper order. If it's random that will be harder to predict though.

Ah, if you see her around her name is Usagi. Tsukino Usagi.

Heh. [ He tapped his temple; the part not bandaged. ] So long as it's all there, I feel better about it.

[ Lockon lowered his hand. ] I'll remember the name. It seems like there are a lot of people here. I'm not exactly used to cramped spaces like this being so crowded.

Really? I guess living in Japan is different - especially around Tokyo. There's people everywhere and where there's not, there's throngs of fans anyway.

[She sighed visibly.] Hopefully I don't need to get a new pair of shades while I'm here. [But then she smiled.] Ah well. I guess if I do that's a good thing. It means more people know about us. [She looked back at him.] Can't very well spread a message if no one's listening, can you?
