The Hangover from Hell
Date & Time: December 8
Location: Unit 106
Characters: Lucy Heartfilia, Natsu Dragneeel
Summary: Lucy's woken up with the hangover from hell. Natsu crashed on the couch. She has no clue what she did, hahaha, awkwardness ensues.
Lucy's dreams had been plagued with demons. Red haired demons chasing her down a spiraling path, bottles of booze scattered over the floor, tempting her with coaxing 'drink meeeeeeeeeeeee' calls. Yet if she stopped to be tempted, the demon started to catch up. Just as she was sprinting around a corner, she heard the demon howling behind her, hot breath on her neck and she screamed -
Only to wake up with a start and a squeak in her bed, still in her masquerade gown, though her mask has been taken off at least. Rumpled, sleepy, and the slightest sound causing her head to pound like someone was beating on it with a pair of drum sticks, she groggily pushed herself off of the bed.
She was home, so ... she must have made it back somehow. She couldn't remember what had happened the previous night, in all honesty, but it couldn't have been that bad. She hoped. Ugh, she had to cross into the living room, shading her eyes all the way, wanting to head into the bathroom. Had she noticed an extra guest? Nosuh, she hadn't!

Why is there a half naked Natsu on her couch?
He looked like he was sleeping so peacefully too, she didn't want to wake him. But she also had the nasty aftertaste of morning breath and alcohol. That had to be dealt with first.
So after a short stop in the bathroom, she padded quietly over to a closet, pulling out a light bedsheet. Natsu probably didn't even need it, but it was habitual to put a blanket over someone crashing on their couch.
Besides, Natsu was cute when he was sleeping.
Provided he didn't reflexively deck her again, that is.
no subject
No risk of sending her soaring into the sky this time. His sleep was at the moment dreamless and any dreams prior to that had been a mix of the Red demon and Lucy acting like a cat more than even Happy ever did.
Natsu's closed eyes scrunched up a bit as he started picking up the sounds of activity in the room. Just a few more minutes, is what he would say if he was sufficiently aware at that point.
no subject
Smiling in a quiet amusement as Natsu started rousing himself, she raised a hand, caught herself and instead straightened. At least her roommates were out - though they were both quiet people. Her head was pounding too much to deal with a certain noise level.
Catching sight of the clock, she quirked an eyebrow, though she wasn't sure she should be as surprised. "Already nearly noon?" Man she was knocked OUT. Another glance towards Natsu, and the mystery of his missing shirt-back. "What happened last night..." Welp she'll just have to ask him!
no subject
Natsu's ears picked the sound of Lucy voice and his eyes started to crack open just enough to let in the first blinding rays of daylight. There was something on him. Something warm and soft. No not THAT kind of warm and soft.
"Mmmm~ Ask?" he repeated groggily before bringing the back of his hand to his eyes to try and wipe the sleep from his eyes.
no subject
Ask? "I was going to ask what happened to your shirt." Seriously, it's like someone tore it off.
no subject
" 's okay." Natsu actually felt thirsty given he didn't drink anything in several hours but before he could speak up about that, Lucy asked her question.
"That thing?" he said pointing out the torn shreds on the floor. "Erza did it. She kept seeing me as everyone except me, last night."
no subject
Wow. Wooooow. She straightened gingerly, "Erza did that?" Her voiec almost above a whisper, though she winced slightly, wishing she hadn't. "Urggh.." She carefully settled on opposite end of the couch, holding her head in her hands.
"My head feels like it's going to split open. Was Erza drinking?" Ah, Erza and you, Lucy.
no subject
"Yeah. Erza and you too. You said something about a drinking contest when I found you." Just going to focus on how it all started for now. For the sake of sanity and because his mind wasn't jump starting to 100% all that quickly.
no subject
A drinking contest? ... what was I thinking? [ It's a rhetorical question, don't bother answering it. ]
Aside from Erza ripping half of your shirt off - God that sounds bad, but at least it wasn't me - we didn't... do anything weird, right?
[ Like. Dancing on a table with random strangers or worse. Oh dear god. ]
no subject
"Depends what you'd find weird..." he answered evasively. How much could he really tell her safely? Not answering wasn't going to help much either plus there was a high chance of someone else bringing up th events from last night.
no subject
Or not so much weird as SO out of character. Though she looked a little sick to her stomach when she glanced at her friend. "... what did I do?"
Maybe it was harmless! Maybe she just lead a group in a rousing song of karaoke!
no subject
"Nah you didn't do any of that really. Unless you did it before I found you. Or should I say before you found me." Natsu was going to just skirt around the dangerous detail of her pretty much draping herself over him, if that was okay with her.
no subject
Also she was totally fine with him editing out certain details of the evening. It wasn't like anyone had been around to take incriminating photos or expose Natsu's lies. "I guess I caused you a little trouble with all of that." Being drunk and everything.
no subject
"After that we started walking around trying ot find Erza before she got drunk. We didn't find her if that wasn't obvious."
no subject
"What about Erza? Do you know how she's doing?"
no subject
"Yeah...I'll try to keep you far away from any next time" Natsu offered with a half laugh. Why was this getting so awkward? Oh hey distraction.
"Probably still passed out in her room where I managed to drag her. If not I'd be dead by now." He visibly shuddered. He's gonna have hell to pay after the accidents between himself and his red haired demon of a friend.
no subject
... and just the strangest mental image came to mind, but she shook her head again, wincing as she did so. "That's terrifying. I kept dreaming demons were chasing me, and ..." Uh, you don't need to know the rest. "A-anyway. Are you hungry? You haven't eaten yet right?" Since he just woke up and all.
no subject
"Yea something to eat sounds good. But you sure you can handle it so soon?" After all he's seen plenty of people with hangovers and a lot of them weren't exactly a nice sight to behold for the first few hours.
no subject
So she pushed herself to her feet, gingery stepping over to the kitchen and keeping her eyes shaded. Ugh, too much light. Don't mind her if she starts closing the curtains.
no subject
"Anything I can help with?" That was only half true since his main priority was to make sure Lucy wouldn't hurt herself while trying to put together the meal she had in mind.
no subject
... wait. D..don't that would be almost as terrifying as drunk Erza.
When Natsu wanered into the kitchen, Lucy was already in the process of leaning over the sink, tugging a curtain closed. Not nearly as dark as she would like, but it would have to do.
She kind of wanted to crawl back under her blankets, actually. "Huh?" It's true, she was liable to burn herself or something in her state. "Um..." Hrhm. "Mind grabbing a plate?" Red X kept putting them up on the top shelf where she had to climb up to reach them, the bully.
no subject
Natsu watched Lucy closely. At least closing the curtains was still within her ability. He was kind of reconsidering the whole cooking thing though. Lucy should probably still recover for a bit, yet here she was trying to cook for the two of them.
"Plates. Got it." he said and quickly headed over to the shelf reaching up with ease taking two plats stacked one on top of the other.
no subject
Closing the curtains? Nooooooo problem. Making breakfast...is almost definitely outside of the realm of her ability right now. She was trying though! After all, if it had been her alone, she would have had to force herself to be up and about eventually. And what if she'd had taken a mission?
She'd be screwed, plain and simple. "I bet Erza isn't having this sort of trouble." She probably was up and about and feeling fine by now. SO UNFAIR.
Collecting a set of eggs, she turned away again, her face a little grin. Just the idea of eating, let alone cooking..guh.
no subject
It would seem this was one of those times when he had to act like a good team mate. So Natsu rolled up his metaphorical sleeves and walked up next to Lucy.
"I got an idea. Why don't you tell me what you wanted to make and I'll do the cooking." With her instructing him it wouldn't be possible for disaster to occur right?
no subject
But ... if she kept an eye on him, she supposed it would be fine. "Okay." No WAY could disaster occur. "I was just going to make an omelette -" Thinking up anything more complicated was beyond her too, apparently.
