[ HERE ARE TWO UNDEAD MEN. IT IS NEW YEAR'S EVE, OR MAYBE IT'S BECOME NEW YEAR'S ALREADY. THEY ARE NOT SURE. THEY ARE BOTH EXTREMELY DRUNK.

They've been drinking their way through the city, bar to liquor store back to bar again, to any alcohol-selling establishment still open at this point in time, or gate crashing parties in search of booze. They are wandering all over the goddamn place. You might run into them entering a bar, or exiting it (possibly unwillingly, and possibly via the window in Bariyan's case). Maybe you turn a corner and walk smack into them. Maybe you hear them getting into a fight a few blocks ahead. MAYBE YOU GET INTO A FIGHT WITH THEM (NOT THE SUGGESTED COURSE OF ACTION).

Basically, Koltira and Bariyan are having a grand time of it and WOULD BE EXTREMELY PLEASED IF YOU JOINED IN. ]

[Koltira don't know nothin' about adults and late blooming, especially right now, but he's glad that Mahdi took his advice.]

There's a good lad. Breathe in the night air for a bit. It'll help sober you up. [he shrugs.] Or, at least, it helped me do so when I was still alive.

[ Bariyan crosses his arms and leans towards Mahdi, eyebrow arched, grinning. ]

Sobriety's best when you're young, anyway. And you are young. [ ADULT OR NO. ]

[Mahdi blinks up at them. His expression reads clear annoyance, but he doesn't give voice to it. He's having trouble getting his vocabulary to catch up with his frustration, honestly.] ...How can you get drunk if you can't get sober?

And I am young but I'm not that young. I'm twenty-four. Did I say that already? Because I am.
