[OPEN] LOOKIN FOR SOME TROUBLE 2NIGHT
Date & Time: 12/31 evening - 01/01 early morning NEW YEARS YEAAHHH
Location: ALL AROUND THE CITY WE'RE BARCRAWLIN BABY
Characters: Bariyan e Kodhi (
stonefaith), Koltira Deathweaver (
deadelfwalking), and YOU.
Summary: drunk undead men assault the island
Warnings: n/a except for zombie drunkards
[ HERE ARE TWO UNDEAD MEN. IT IS NEW YEAR'S EVE, OR MAYBE IT'S BECOME NEW YEAR'S ALREADY. THEY ARE NOT SURE. THEY ARE BOTH EXTREMELY DRUNK.
They've been drinking their way through the city, bar to liquor store back to bar again, to any alcohol-selling establishment still open at this point in time, or gate crashing parties in search of booze. They are wandering all over the goddamn place. You might run into them entering a bar, or exiting it (possibly unwillingly, and possibly via the window in Bariyan's case). Maybe you turn a corner and walk smack into them. Maybe you hear them getting into a fight a few blocks ahead. MAYBE YOU GET INTO A FIGHT WITH THEM (NOT THE SUGGESTED COURSE OF ACTION).
Basically, Koltira and Bariyan are having a grand time of it and WOULD BE EXTREMELY PLEASED IF YOU JOINED IN. ]

Oh my god are you okay?

His reply to Collette's inquiry is groggy, absent-minded. ]
Yes, yes, I'm fine--
[ Then he starts to look around. He blinks at Collette, but quickly turns his attention elsewhere -- behind, then back to the bar. ]
Did anyone else come out after me? Or, er, before?
[ Where's Koltira. ]
no subject
Ha. Perhaps in future he will mind his manners--[Oh, hey, it's Collette. UH. He pauses, and then steps forward, his steps uncertain and staggering.]
He's all right. He's just having a bit of a sleep. Assisted sleep. [HORRIBLE CHUCKLE.]

( Except... Sakura squints. Hey. Hey, with that voice she'd been hearing moments before, it's possibly that guy. THAT ONE GUY. )
Mr. Deathweaver.

And company.

The dynamic dead duo is not, however, what was on his list of things he'd expected to see. He pauses to see them come stumbling out of a bar, a smile already in place, and he leans against a streetlamp to watch. It's kind of nice to see these two depressing guys doing something other than mope, actually. Don't mind him if he plays audience a little. ]

He's also far too absorbed in the moment to immediately notice Ashraf's presence.]
no subject
Except he doesn't recognize him immediately. Instead, Bariyan pulls both of them to a halt to squint at Ashraf. Then he points at the other man. ]

Namely that there is some rowdy laughter coming from down the street and one of those voices just so happens to have an echo-y undeadness to it. So this mermaid promptly heads in the direction of-- A liquor store?
Oh. Oh wow. ]
...Koltira?

he's definitely not Darkov anymore.
Martin yawns, slowly trudging his way back toward the apartments, flexing cold fingers tucked inside his coat pockets. cold. sleepy. but...but not without a bit of an odd feeling. intuition? slight hunger?
or maybe prophesy, given a surging ruckus he's sure to witness around this corner:]
no subject
He takes a swing at the guy nearest him, but the surge of the crowd is too much, and soon both he and Bariyan are unceremoniously shoved back onto the street. Koltira is about to turn and shrug the whole thing off, but then he spots a small, familiarly glowing figure coming up the sidewalk.
Oh no, oh no, no no no no. Koltira's felt ambivalent about many of their run-ins so far, but his response to seeing Martin is clear and immediate: get away. He glances back at the still incredibly hostile bar.]
I ... think I may have left my coin purse in there.
[Given the choice between a roomful of people who really don't want him around--and are probably keen to show it physically--and the child whose father-figure Koltira so recently battered to a pulp, Koltira is going to pick the former without hesitation. He moves to step back into the bar.]

her mom and dadher zombielusus and his gentleman friendtwo dead dudes are exiting. Convenient enough that she can stop and stare at them like a cow stares at an oncoming train-- that is to say, quite unimpressed. ]What are you doing?

He'd been holding onto a glass when he crashed into Johnny -- and he drops it upon collision. Bariyan immediately bounds back afterwards, blinking at Johnny. Where the hell did he come from? Why is the glass on the floor, and the remainder of his drink soaking into the pavement? Not cool.
Bariyan narrows his eyes and growls. ]
Was watching it.

But that doesn't mean she's not ducking into one of her favorite bars for one quick drink, just to see how celebrating the New Year is going. Straight into a bar fight, it looks like, and she recognizes two of the participants.
She is so not getting banned from here to back them up, so for now she just sidles along to the bar and looks for the bartender. Maybe she can get her drink and her entertainment at the same time. ]

He's yelling, too, but hell if even he knows what he's going on about. And he's switched back to his mother tongue, so no one else gets to know what he's howling either.
Bariyan manages to break away just long enough to look up. He's looking for Koltira, but it's Ros he sees first, which distracts him. ]
Ros, are--

OKAY I FINALLY DECIDED
Regardless of him being on his own though, he was quite cheerful. Getting drunk off of the atmosphere did that to you. He had a single spirit sphere rotating around him as a means of lighting his way through some of the darker alleys.
He was just coming out of one of those said alleys when he finds himself walking smack into someone. He hurriedly steps back, already holding his hands out and waving them apologetically before he even sees who he's walked into. ]

He sputters in surprise, stepping back in turn, shoulders immediately tensing and hands balling into fists. He turns to Jacquese, anger flashing prematurely in his eyes -- but it fades upon seeing the spirit sphere. He's at the stage of drunkenness that makes him stupidly easy to distract. ]
What is...
[ Too distracted to finish that question, even. Instead Bariyan steps closer towards Jacquese, frowning, reaching out as if to try and grab the sphere. ]

TAGS IN SO LATE
Either way, Flynn's drinking reasonably quietly in one of the bars, attempting to explain football to some poor asshole who hasn't got any idea what it is, when someone bumps into him from behind and makes him lose half his pint.
Which, actually, is a very normal occurrence in most of the pubs he's ever frequented, and the usual course of action is to devolve into trading off rounds with the guilty party, so he's not particularly angry when he turns around to call them out on it.
Until he recognizes Koltira and... well, some guy. He has no idea who the other one is. There's an awkward silence in which Flynn distinctly feels like he's on the wrong end of this "running into the bully in the cafeteria" scenario, and then a simple, mostly neutral- ]
Koltira.
