Summary: Ghost is out and about, mostly sulking and trying to avoid people.

[Since the whole deal with Koltira, Ghost has mostly been holed up in her room. She's barely left it. But even she gets a little stir-crazy so she decided to go for a walk. A task easier said than done given the damaged state of her helmet. With it no longer functioning properly she couldn't wear it. Not wearing it means people will know what she looks like. What she sounds like.

That definitely leaves the Network out of question. At least in person she can give a false name. There's only two people, aside from maybe her roommates, that know what she really looks and sounds like.

She's completely bundled up, arms and hands completely covered. Her face mostly hidden behind a scarf and the shadow of her hood. It would have to do. Although the faint glow of her eyes wasn't hard to miss.

For the most part she's just out trying to get some "fresh" air while avoiding as many people as possible. Although avoiding people isn't easy. Eventually she settles down on a bench in what she assumes passes for a park. At least the pastime of people watching never goes out of style.]

[She gives a small grunt before looking over at him again. Her outfit appears second hand and is clearly mismatched. What is a fashion sense?]

Got pieces here an' there. [She really loathes the clothes she's picked up around the city. But she can't go out in her uniform without her helmet since that's how everyone would recognize her.]

Don't keep track, huh? [He never understood that himself. If he liked it he'd go back and buy more, so of course he knew what he was wearing.]

Don't see a reason to. [And she doesn't see a reason to keep track of where she gets stuff. She doesn't wear civilian clothes often in this place.]

[A pause to sip his drink.] Then what do you see a reason to keep track of?

[ghostling]

Impor'ant stuff. Clothes ain' one of 'em.

What's important to one person isn't to another. [Enjoying his drink as he looks at her.] Is it the same as back home, this important stuff?

[ghostling]

No' quite. [Sure staying hidden is one thing that remains the same here but back home there's also staying alive. Here she doesn't have to worry about waking up with a gun in her face and a inhibitor around her neck.]

Not for me either. [Finishing off what's in his cup he reaches for the thermos to pour out some more.] Time travel changes priorities.

Or dimensional travel as the case truly is. [Because she's pretty certain this is not the future of her Earth.]

I hope it is, but there's no way for me to know.

[ghostling]

[She gives a grunt and a shrug.]

Don' matter either way. E'erythin's different.

What do you mean everything?

[ghostling]

Uh...e'erythin'. [She motions around them.]

It's all dead, differen'. Ain' the same time or the same place. Issues back home don' seem t'be issues here.

There's no telling if this will be my world's future or not. It's a thousand years. It's a long time and everything could change like this.

[ghostling]

True. But there's things that don' feel right for my world. E'en wi' as many years that passed I should still be able to find somethin' related to home if it's my world's future.

[strategic_guile]

A feeling? Some kind of power, I'm guessing? [Slightest of head tilts.] At least you know this isn't your world's fate.

[Not saying it won't be worse.]

[ghostling]

Somethin' like that, yeah. [She shakes her head.] I'm no' completely certain this ain' home but at the same time I feel it ain'. Makes no sense I know.

Maybe it's mo' me tryin' to convince m'self it ain' so I don' worry too much.

We'll go for the positive outlook instead, hm? I'm hoping the same for my world.

[ghostling]

One of those...only time will tell things.

Exactly. And while time is... taking it's time I'll do what I do.

Ah. [She gives a little nod before looking around.]

What do you do? [He's almost done his drink, and pours the remains into his cup from the thermos.]

Watch people. Try to avoid most people.
