OPEN
Date & Time: 1/4; afternoon
Location: Around the Hold
Characters: Ghost and ANYONE
Summary: Ghost is out and about, mostly sulking and trying to avoid people.
Warnings: Uh, depends on who shows up?
[Since the whole deal with Koltira, Ghost has mostly been holed up in her room. She's barely left it. But even she gets a little stir-crazy so she decided to go for a walk. A task easier said than done given the damaged state of her helmet. With it no longer functioning properly she couldn't wear it. Not wearing it means people will know what she looks like. What she sounds like.
That definitely leaves the Network out of question. At least in person she can give a false name. There's only two people, aside from maybe her roommates, that know what she really looks and sounds like.
She's completely bundled up, arms and hands completely covered. Her face mostly hidden behind a scarf and the shadow of her hood. It would have to do. Although the faint glow of her eyes wasn't hard to miss.
For the most part she's just out trying to get some "fresh" air while avoiding as many people as possible. Although avoiding people isn't easy. Eventually she settles down on a bench in what she assumes passes for a park. At least the pastime of people watching never goes out of style.]

A chuckle. "Anyway, it's not that difficult for me to purify plants, especially on a small scale. The fact that nothing stays clean is the problem, really. Can't grow anything decent in half-nuclear soil. Have to pick it first, then fix it."

Her gaze turned to him again, once again squinting at him as if she'd see something new. "Handy power, shame it only works on the small stuff."

Although, he thought to himself, he really had no idea if the water of this place would be any good, or if the flower could hold up at all. Unnatural soil wasn't exactly his realm of expertise, but with some research he could probably look into it. Though for now the flower was alive, even trimmed. It would be all right.
"The amount of power you'd need to purify this whole island, from the ground up... well, It'd be immense." He had a sneaking hunch he could do such a thing, though at this point he didn't see any reason too. They'd more than likely only ruin it again, after all. "Picking up a flower and getting rid of the impurities is one thing. Cleaning the nuclear winter out of millions of tons of dirt is a another."
He cocked his head. "Do I have something on my face?"
no subject
She gave the flower a little twirl as she tilts her head to the right. "I imagine it would. An' e'en then the waters 'round the island are toxic and would need purifying. Basically wouldn' matter I don' think."
Not that it wouldn't be nice to see more natural green around.

He closed his eyes, trying to sense the water, the dirt - everything. It was a mess. A god-forsaken mess, literally and metaphorically. With a sigh, he opened them again and stared at his shoes. "And you'd have to do it all at once, too." Even the thought was tiring. "You'd probably need a god or something."

There was strength there, but it at least sounded like she would have used it if she could. And with all the different kinds of powers and magics here, it was difficult to tell what exactly one person could do, as opposed to the next.

If she thought the Nether would be any use to bringing life to a dead place she would have used it after her arrive. But Nether was death, it didn't allow for things to live and grow aside from herself. Of course, if she were ever cut off from the source of her power she wouldn't live long after.
"Suppose we jus' gotta make do."
no subject
"I guess making do is all we can manage."
no subject
Just making do was the way things were back home. Human despised and feared any different from them so it was difficult to have a life.

He looked back at her. "Something tells me you've got plenty of those types."
no subject
"Perhaps we are better."

"Is this your favorite place for people-watching? It's a pretty good spot for this kind of thing."
no subject
"I don' actually people watch of'en. Don' really have a favourite spot for it."

He gestured towards the general crowd.
"...They're just so stupid. LIke cattle." The disgust his voice was more than evident at this point, a faint frown pulling the corners of his lips down. "It's nice to know that they're real good at reinforcing all these beliefs."

"One...way of lookin' at it, I guess."
