MISSION: GET TO ZE CHOPPA

Summary: All transports are sent back to Uruguay to download a self-aware AI before it gets bombed out of existence by an early incarnation of the UE. Time distortion effects will be set right either on the way there or on the way back, according to player choice.
Warnings: violence, action movie tension, 3 terabytes of foot fetish porn.

The Transporter drops the entire transport population into what will quickly be established as Home Base, a mile from the vast, sprawling facility that is Uruguay's National Defense HQ. The low roar of helidrones moving above is pervasive, but the black ships can only be glimpsed here and there through the thick cover of trees overhead. If you keep calm and quiet, it's likely you won't be spotted. It's the UND HQ their attention is on, after all.

The population is quickly sorted by attending Initiate employees according to who volunteers to fight and who volunteers to protect, along with those with enough skill to access the computers, and those with enough skill to get them there. The fighters move out first, off to intercept the early UE's ships and ground troops, and to draw the automated defense systems of the facility alike. They'll be in a crossfire, and neither side will be happy to see them there.

The techies and their escorts are sent out far more quietly, in groups of three. Their task is to sneak past the front lines and into the facility itself. There might be alarms and automated defense drones, so those escorts may well be called on to earn their keep. The Initiative can't give any information about which building will house the AI's mainframe, that information was long since lost to history. All they can do is send out enough people to hope that one of them manages to find it.

And remember — as soon as the UE troops withdraw, there will only be minutes until the bomb drops. Everyone would do well to work fast.

Rose shook her head at that and floated a bit closer to the ground, pointing past the soldiers at what seemed to be an armor line approaching.

"Ghoth tok fyt hurg."

Raising his right hand, Gilgamesh drew out a golden 'key' from the Gates of Babylon. It resembled a flat short sword with rivets, as if it functioned to open an overly complex door. Twisting it in the air, little golden cubes manifested all over his hand before the sky erupted with bright red light, forming a 'tree' of red conduits of energy. After a moment, the lights all condensed into one golden ball above Gilgamesh's hand. From that sphere, Gilgamesh reached into it and drew a long and red stone sword, rounded all around as if it was nothing at all like a sword. While it had a handle and a tip, it couldn't have easily been described as a sword.

If anything, the power emanating from the sword itself was immense and ancient, given that it was the manifestation of a god.

"How pitiful, this struggle," Gilgamesh spoke softly, turning the stone sword over, its golden guard shining in the dull light above. "They tarnish this stage. Now, girl, I'll entertain myself by turning these forces into mere ashes. Your struggle is not necessary while in the presence of the King."

Rose could concede that his little display was somewhat impressive, although given that she was currently invoking the power of an army of distant horrorterror gods, she wasn't really that impressed.

She might have let it pass too, if he hadn't added that last bit. She just rolled her eyes and turned back to the approaching armies, and the black glow around her flared and darkened, tendrils of energy leaking off her body as she thrusts one of the wands forward and a trench of energy tears itself up from the ground, scattering men and machines.

The ceaseless struggle slowed in Gilgamesh's eyes. As he dragged the tip of Ea out in front of himself, the sky split above, revealing a bright blue sky. The clouds were ripped apart, all the vapor dissipating and burning down to the atomic level instantly. With one swing of the 'sword', Gilgamesh advanced. The ground tore apart, going hundreds of feet deep into the Earth instantly. The red light exploding out of the sword did nothing to throw his enemies. They simply disappeared into the void of heat and twisting blades of wind. Anything his energy touched disappeared, revealing a primordial chaos below the battlefield.

Magma gushed up from the seams of the ripped up Earth and Gilgamesh raised his voice again, laughing, "A contest, girl? Even while I hold back--I wonder if you could compare to me!"
