MISSION: GET TO ZE CHOPPA
Date & Time: August 23rd, 2753 (OOCly forward-dated to the 1st)
Location: Uruguay National Defense HQ
Characters: All transports!
Summary: All transports are sent back to Uruguay to download a self-aware AI before it gets bombed out of existence by an early incarnation of the UE. Time distortion effects will be set right either on the way there or on the way back, according to player choice.
Warnings: violence, action movie tension, 3 terabytes of foot fetish porn.
The Transporter drops the entire transport population into what will quickly be established as Home Base, a mile from the vast, sprawling facility that is Uruguay's National Defense HQ. The low roar of helidrones moving above is pervasive, but the black ships can only be glimpsed here and there through the thick cover of trees overhead. If you keep calm and quiet, it's likely you won't be spotted. It's the UND HQ their attention is on, after all.
The population is quickly sorted by attending Initiate employees according to who volunteers to fight and who volunteers to protect, along with those with enough skill to access the computers, and those with enough skill to get them there. The fighters move out first, off to intercept the early UE's ships and ground troops, and to draw the automated defense systems of the facility alike. They'll be in a crossfire, and neither side will be happy to see them there.
The techies and their escorts are sent out far more quietly, in groups of three. Their task is to sneak past the front lines and into the facility itself. There might be alarms and automated defense drones, so those escorts may well be called on to earn their keep. The Initiative can't give any information about which building will house the AI's mainframe, that information was long since lost to history. All they can do is send out enough people to hope that one of them manages to find it.
And remember — as soon as the UE troops withdraw, there will only be minutes until the bomb drops. Everyone would do well to work fast.
[[ Mission information is here, and the techie/escort teams, along with their hacking results, are here. Each techie/escort group will have their own established thread, but Team Distraction and Team We'll Stay Here, Thanks are welcome to thread where ever and however they like! The newbie log that goes up on the 1st will also encompass the arrival back in Exsilium, if you'd like to play that out as well. ]]

as long as you pay
{Should I leave you the honor, Urahara?} [It's obvious she means knocking him unconscious, though whoever decides to do so had better be quick before he can call for help.]
this is a good plan I like this plan, can I have gelato please
Kisuke quickly salutes by touching the brim of his hat and leaves the hapless guard no extra time to ponder what this could mean for him as he smartly knocks the man out with a sharp jab to the temple with the end of his cane.]
{Alright then, let's get down to business shall we? If you two would be so good as to take care of further distractions.}
[He heads over to the door release panel, pulls out a small device from his sleeve which flashes up a small holographic screen which he connects to the panel, and immediately sets to work on trying to get it unlocked.]
i am not paying extra for sprinkles :|
he exhales, drawing his attention back to the team, catching enough of Urahara's request to do as asked, glancing toward M'gann.]
{The drones. Are there more coming near that you can sense?}
insert milkshake joke here
Urahara, give me a moment to go inside and see what's around.}
[Without leaving either of them much option in the matter, M'gann approaches the door and shifts through it without missing a beat. Once inside, she sends the two a mental image of her surroundings: another door, she ghosts through that one, followed by a long hallway with a handful of room and adjoining hallways.]
{If you're able to get a map off the panel, it'd be a good idea.}
and I'm like it's better than yours (ack sorry, busy weekend and work week!)
[The panel beeps, and Urahara remains still except for his fingers dancing over the keypad on his portable device. About ten seconds later the door slides open and a green light on his device illumiates. Satisfied, he smirks to himself and disconnects his device.]
{Done and done. We need to head to the basement.}
ain't no thang we're in a time travel game iT'S LIKE NO TIME PASSED AT ALL
good.]
{There is a shaft close-by.} [his head turns in the direction the guard's memory places it.] {Stairs further along the way.}
[he'll not make the choice for them; he's here to support and protect.]
badumtish
{I'll take the shaft, Blue, Urahara, take the stairs. I'll keep the link up, so let me know if you need help. We'll meet as soon as we're able. Objections?}
