Coffee, Donuts, and Lots and Lots of Teasing. :3
Date & Time: March 6th, the afternoon
Location: Somewhere in the cityMY, "the city", and ending up at a coffee shop most likely!
Characters: Lucy Heartfilia, Natsu Dragneel, Blaine Thorps
Summary: What happens when two mages encounter a troll who found it way too fun to tease them? ... a helluva lot more teasing, that's what.
Warnings: Probably none!
Morning training was always brutal on poor Lucy's body, especially considering it was Erza who was putting them through those drills. But it would be worth it in the end, even if she felt like she couldn't move afterwards. So immediately after training she'd informed her friends she was going back to her unit to have a shower. After that was done, she then decided to head outside again for a walk and possibly get a coffee and donut from a shop nearby. She'd meet up with Natsu again later (or sooner than she thinks), but for the meanwhile, coffee and donut was on the agenda. Also meeting certain trolls that teased her the other day, but shh, she didn't know she was going to run into Blaine yet.

The mention of the reporter did bring up a frustratingly valid point. Right. Her. Watching like a hawk for more juicy lies to spread. But stilllll~
"I guess there is that too yea." He admitted with a sigh before his mind decided to pick up on one of her earlier comments.
"What did you mean when you said he looked like an okay person before I showed up?"
no subject
"Exactly what I said. He was a nice looking guy, and he seemed nice enough. We were talking about our training at the facility...actually, he had said he might be interested in sparring against you - but -" now she wouldn't be so sure.
"Aw - I forgot, he treated me to that breakfast, and I meant to pay him back." Damn.
no subject
"Oh did he?" Natsu. Stop. Wipe the smirk that says you can't wait to get to hit the guy and not be in trouble for it.
Treated to breakfast? Pay him back? Simple sentences on their own but right now they were like logs to a fire he couldn't name even as it brewed inside him.
no subject
"What's with that look?" Because she suddenly was feeling badly for Blaine, the next time he ran into Natsu.
no subject
"Oh nothing. Just thinking how much fun it'll be if he does ask me to 'help' out with his training." Demon Lord Dragneel would love the chance to step out into the world again.
no subject
But that was only because she wondered how he would react. Why that would matter, she had no idea. Really.
Once they were safely in her apartment, she pushed the door closed and dropped onto her couch with a sigh. So many questions and conflicting reactions. She wasn't sure she liked how eager he looked about 'helping' Blaine with his training, to be honest. But eh, this was Natsu - he'd be back to his normal self again later.
... ... ... ... Lucy stop eyeing him.
"Say ...Natsu." Question time!
no subject
But that thought is quickly thrown aside now that they are back at Lucy's place. Eager to be in friendly territory, Natsu ran in let himself land face first on Lucy's couch, taking that chance to take in that soothing scent that always brought him there to begin with.
He looked up from the couch when Lucy spoke up.
"Yeah Lucy?" he answered simply wondering what she had to say.
no subject
"I... I was wondering. About what you said back there. You..weren't serious about the ... the practice were you? I mean - practicing on someone before -" she can't even say 'before the "main event" part, considering who the main event had been in that hypothetical.
no subject
And then the question dropped. Seemed they both clung to the most inconvenient of statements. Hides his face against the couch some more until only his eyes can be seen looking in Lucy's direction.
"Well...I don't think I could. Kissing someone else is...well I don't think I could do it with someone else." Dammit he really wished he could lie. But a promise was a promise and running away led to some pretty bad consequences. At least he was learning bit by bit to not run away from these developments.
no subject
She should have amended it to let him lie or at least avoid the issue, but that could also prove to be hurtful. "Good." ... ER. "I-I mean..." she glanced away from the turtling Natsu, the sight of which was too cute for her. "Even in a hypothetical scenario, I-- any girl would want to be the only one that- that was kissed if it was by a guy she liked."
Hypothetically.
no subject
"Yeah...right hypothetically..." Hey if that helped settle things again he could go with that lie for now. They must have been both and amusing and frustrating sight to behold right now.
no subject
"Well... really," she was rambling now, too embarrassed by the topic to just SHUT UP, "Even in a real life scenario ..." It was totally okay to talk with a best friend this casually right? Although it would normally be Levy she would be saying this to.
"I would -I -" Lucy what are you even saying. Poor Natsu was turtling in the couch, if she embarrassed him any more, he was going to turtle into himself. . . .can dragons do that?
"I would want to be the only one." It's murmured quietly, and more or less to herself but - eh, as close as Natsu was, and as quiet as it was in the apartment it was probably clear as a bell.
But she abruptly got to her feet at that point and wandered off into the kitchen, clearing her throat and stretching an arm over her head. "Aa, I'm thirsty --" Maybe she'll just DUNK her damn head under the faucet again.
no subject
Unfortunately with the lack of noise or talking on his part, there was nothing from stopping her murmur from reaching his sensitive hearing and the moment she left the room he looked up fully a look of perplexed surprise plastered on his face and stared at Lucy's back. Did she just...no that couldn't be. They were still talking about hypothetical.... right? Great now he was going to think on this until sleep finally claimed him.

"Errr Yea I think I'll have some water too." Rage could make a guy thirsty after all. That and he could use that to cool off a bit. Clearly Lucy didn't think he'd heard or she would not have sounded as calm as she did now.
no subject
Taking a few minutes more to get a second glass of water, she wandered out to the living room, a gaze shifting towards Natsu once or twice before surrendering the glass and reclaiming her seat next to him. "Here you go." Cheery grin.
Yeah she totally thought he missed her mutter - she was caught up in her own thoughts mostly though, possibly recalling the previous few minutes as she pressed her glass to her lips for a sip. Mm, fresh water.
no subject
no subject
Which was a mistake because - he's kinda... looking at her now. Her gaze shifted from his eyes to the glass in his hand - or more accurately his lips, before darting back up to his face, suddenly nervous. Oh gosh. Don't look at her like that, she forgets she can move when you look at her like that. She'd like to ask if there was a problem with his water, but y'know, the words just weren't coming out.
Stop looking at that glass(his lips) Lucy! And his eyes aren't much better just... just LOOK away gosh.
no subject
Focus on that, Natsu. Focus dammit. Nope her lips were far more interesting apparently.
no subject
All the same, she unconsciously leaned a little closer to him. Which really wasn't that big a surprise - it was always comfortable being close to him, and there was never any harm in leanin- okay you're leaning a little closer than you need to, Luce. Stop that.
She swallowed, managing to barely stop herself from leaning towards him further, her thoughts spinning. Glancing down instead, she took a breath. She... actually she couldn't think of anything more than hearing how Natsu had answered Blaine's question about whether he thought Lucy was pretty. No, beautiful. She blushed faintly- even if ... no, he did just say it because he was her best friend, she didn't thank him did she?
"..Natsu...?" Lucy, back up a bit, you might startle the poor boy into spitting his water at you. And not in the fun way like last time.
no subject
He should really be leaning away from Lucy but he was rooted to the spot. He swallowed before answering the girl.
"Yeah? Something else on your mind? " So close. God dammit even her scent was having some weird pull like effect on him. So tempting to just lean closer.
no subject
It shouldn't be too much of a surprise that his habits rub off on Lucy a little. Just a little. "Y.. yeah." That glass was not bottomless, Natsu, how long was he going to be able to focus on it? Make it last!
"Um... about... what you said before." Wow this close to Natsu it was kinda hard to breathe. How fast was her pulse going anyway? Hggn. "To Blaine. I-I wanted to thank you for what you said." She exhaled a soft laugh, "That was the sweetest thing anyone's ever said-" And why did she just wanna - oh man, no, Lucy, you back off right this minute. The poor boy was trying to drink his water.
no subject
Oh that. He'd just blurted out his true feelings on the matter yet to hear that they made her so happy was not an altogether unpleasant feeling.
"Y-You're welcome anytime, Lucy." Here have that slightly shaky smile that is trying to be his usual toothy one.
no subject
Lucy chuckled faintly, though the more she watched him, the faster her pulse raced. And that smile - that adorably shakey smile. "...no really..." She glanced away for several seconds, starting to lean back. "Thank you."
YAY freedom Natsu! You're in the cle- oh wait, nope, because after a minute there's a quiet murmur of, "Sorry... I just can't-" right before she's abruptly leaning forward again, closer then ever and placing a hand against his shoulder in an echo of her gesture from Valentine's Day, brushing her lips lightly against his.
It's not curiosity. It's... practice. Right? Though oops, with no Erza walking in on them, she doesn't lean away just yet.
no subject
Natsu almost got that exhale of relief out before she moved in towards him again. 'Sorry?' What was that for? Natsu couldn't figure out for the life of him and it wasn't like he had much time to think on it since the next moment Lucy's hand is on him and he got a split second of deja vu before her lips were on his again. Again! Lucy was kissing him AGAIN!
It was light but it made him feel so warm. Warmer than any fire he'd eaten. And this time he didn't feel like running away. In fact he even leaned towards her on his own accord just a bit, just pressing up against her lips not really knowing any movements that would go with the act.
