Dammit, Lee. It's not like that.

[Although hell if she can explain what it is like. After all, when she showed up here, her and Sam were off again and she was busy fooling around with Lee behind Dee's back. Something she doesn't see any problem doing now with both spouses not present. (Excepting of course the Dee-Cylon around here that she's not telling him about.)

The face he's making is stirring up guilty feelings and memories for Kara, which in turn makes her frustrated and angry. In general, at herself, at Lee for prompting it in the first damned place. There's a long sigh of irritation from her.]

Look, it doesn't matter to me and when I got here, it didn't matter to you either. So can we just drop it?

[personal profile] thecag 2013-04-24 06:57 am (UTC)(link)
Okay so then what is it like?

[Lee sounds frustrated and he isn't bothering to mask that. While he'd pretended he didn't want to know what the future held, now its infuriating to be in the dark.

Groaning in annoyance, he apparently does not want to drop it. Also, that last bit sounds like he was her second choice and Lee is not a fan of being that. Again.
]

If you had your way, you'd have dropped every meaningful conversation I've ever tried to have with you.
alwaysruns: (Up close and personal)

[He's right. The only time he's ever truly gotten Kara to stay with a serious conversation (that didn't just involve blasting toasters or other military strategy), was when they were both sauced in the apartment she shared with Zak. If a drunken conversation can be considered meaningful.

Although he did ask what it's like and well... showing is better than telling.

With no warning, she rushes Lee and pins him against the wall with her body, maybe all of half an inch away from his face with her own.]

Maybe I don't wanna talk.

[Personal space? Not likely.]
thecag: (contemplating)

[personal profile] thecag 2013-04-24 07:20 am (UTC)(link)
[Lee continues to stare her down while he talks. He only falters when she comes at him like she actually wanted him for once. Lee's not sure if the over display is supposed to be her way of answering him or distracting him.]

Frak your not talking. [He says, all but closing that space between them. When he continues, he's raw and probably more honest than he should be.] Do you have any idea how crazy being in the dark about the next year and a half is driving me?

[She can have his personal space. For now at any rate.]

[personal profile] alwaysruns 2013-04-24 07:45 am (UTC)(link)
[It's both.]

This is what it's like, Lee.

[Which is utterly true and surprisingly candid for Kara, all the while being true to form. She can't stay away from him and doesn't see any point in stopping herself either. Which is why she follows up by closing the gap and outright kissing him.

It's impulsive, and an answer, and she'll see pretty fast what comes of it. Because this is their messed up reality, his future. Where they can't stay away from each other, but they can't seem to stay around each other either.]
thecag: (hugs)

[personal profile] thecag 2013-04-24 07:55 am (UTC)(link)
[If what its like is that Kara isn't actually listening to him and is doing whatever she wants, then Lee is relieved to know that at least that much hasn't changed.

Lee doesn't want to enjoy kissing Kara but its practically impossible. She is getting away with her distraction and he knows it. He runs his hands up her back, keeping her close until they have to stop for breath.

...And then he keeps pressing the issue. Because that's what Lee does.
]

And what happened to you and Sam then?
alwaysruns: (Hug)

[personal profile] alwaysruns 2013-04-24 08:12 am (UTC)(link)
[The kissing? Always great. The pressing an issue and not letting it go? Not so much. It's only because Lee was responsive in the first place that gets any kind of frank, non-sarcastic answer from Kara. Which she accomplishes while resting her forehead against Lee's.]

He's around. [Good for a frak when she's of a mood. Sometimes.] I made a vow in the sight of the gods. I can't divorce him. [Can't. Won't. Same difference, right?]

Look... I don't want to talk about Sam right now.

[Which she demonstrates by tracing her fingers along Lee's still bare chest.]
thecag: (straight on)

[personal profile] thecag 2013-04-24 08:19 am (UTC)(link)
Around? What the frak does that mean?

[Lee does not like what he's hearing, especially that part about vows and divorces. He didn't need to think about it very hard to realize that back home he's helping her commit adultery. That's just fantastic.

Some part of him wonders what it was like, finally managing to have his night with Kara Thrace. The rest of him is disappointed in himself for apparently not holding her to a higher standard and saying no. It's complicated, like every step of their relationship has always been.

It should come as no surprise that he looks entirely disgruntled.
]

You don't want to talk about him in the same way you didn't want to talk about him that time on Galactica?

[Namely when she'd come on to Lee and then assured him all she wanted was a meaningless hook-up, not him.]

alwaysruns: (Shut the frak up)

[personal profile] alwaysruns 2013-04-24 08:38 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not the same person I was when I married him.

[Her time spent in the Cylon prison did a hell of a number to frak her up worse than she already was to begin with. Kara's jaw locks with irritation. The direction this conversation is going is the reason why she didn't want to talk about Sam in the first place. Totally killed the mood. That and she can't stand actually facing her personal failures.

She pushes away from Lee, roughly, and storms across the room.]

I don't want to talk about him because he's not here. What the frak does it matter anyway? Sam has nothing to do with us. Only there is no us because you keep doing this.

[And because when they almost were together, she ran off and married Sam because it felt safer.]

[There is no protest when Kara stalks to the other side of the lounge. If anything, Lee is, in a twisted way, happy, because now they can have a proper stand off.]

Last time I checked it was you who said there was no us, never would be an us, and that you just wanted a quick lay.

[To emphasize his point, he points at her. Were they any closer, he would jab his finger into her sternum for effect. Lee is a bastard and he's more than willing to use Kara's own words against her. Granted, in her eyes those words are two years old and in his less than six months.

Crossing his arms, Lee has nothing else to say.

Frak you! You have no idea what you're talking about.

[And now Kara's closed down on him too. She reaches over and picks up the sniper rifle she's put down when she came in, and slings it over her shoulder. She's hurt but like hell she'd admit that to herself, much less to Lee. Especially now.

She stalks towards the door, ready to leave and not look back, but she cannot resist the burning need to hurt him back, as she jerks it open.]

Least I'm not the one married to a toaster.

Oh don't I? I'm just saying what you tried to drill into my head!

[Lee has gone from being on the offensive to aiming to be downright mean. He feels confused and defensive, neither of which end up promoting reasonable behavior.

Especially not when it comes to Kara Thrace.

He's about to hurl something else angry and targeted but the words stop in his throat. Apparently he's married? And to a Cylon?! Nope. Lee is just not signing on for believing that one yet.
]

What the actual frak Kara?! That's the best you can come up with?

[Kara stops in the doorway and turns with a cruel smirk on her face. No point in disguising the venom in her tone either.]

Maybe next time you frak Dualla you should check her for a power button or a recharging port. Or you can always ask Helo for pointers when you go back.

[personal profile] thecag 2013-04-25 02:26 am (UTC)(link)
[That's enough for Lee to see only red. It's a wonder he doesn't slam the door and break her fingers when he storms over.]

You know what Kara? Jealousy has always been unbecoming of you. Now its absolutely hideous.

Leave Dee out of this because she has nothing to do with it.

[She could have shown him a picture of twenty Dees and he probably would still accuse her of lying.]
alwaysruns: (Deadpan stare)

[personal profile] alwaysruns 2013-04-25 02:35 am (UTC)(link)
Whatever floats your boat, Lee. [She glances down, pointedly at his crotch, then back up with a sardonic smile.] Or gets you off.

Oh right, she doesn't answer to Dee around here. Says her name is Max and that doesn't know anything about Cylons or the Colonies. Have fun with that.

[Which means, yes, Kara's been hiding that from him and now she just doesn't give a frak if she hurts him or not. It's a miracle she's not just slugged him in the face by now. Still might.]
thecag: (bloody face)

[personal profile] thecag 2013-04-25 02:39 am (UTC)(link)
[That's okay because when he bodily shoves Kara out the door, its a miracle he doesn't throw any punches either.]

Get the frak out.

[Lee's words are hard, cold, and he's just not in the mood. Especially if that was one of the many things she's known and refused to share?

The door he slams can hit Kara on the ass for all he cares. Once its closed, he can't restrain the growl rising in his chest. It culminates in punching the concrete block wall about as hard as he can and busting two knuckles open.

Smooth.

[personal profile] alwaysruns 2013-04-25 02:54 am (UTC)(link)
[When the door shuts, Kara slams the butt of the rifle into it, just to let Lee know she's pissed. Because like hell she's letting him have the last word.

He can rot for all she cares. Frak his toaster wife's copy. Doesn't matter. Only it does. She stomps away, and bellows in rage.]

FRAK!

[Time to get smashed. Eventually she'll get around to checking what caused the power outage, but not until she's liquored up enough to forget Lee exists.]
