Summary: Welcome to the grand opening of the Usual Place Movie Theatre! Tonight we're showing a mostly faithful rendition of Crank as restored by Billy, with refreshments available at minimal cost via Charlie's ingenuity and Collette's general statement that no movie is complete without access to popcorn. Please enjoy the show!
Warnings: Crank is a ridiculous film if you've ever seen it. That is technically PG-13/R, but the log itself should be much more tame!
Notes: Action, prose, or gif-spam each other at will. Just have fun with the first up and running movie theatre in Exsilium since goodness knows when!

[It was just Johnny's luck that Sohki came into the movie theatre and perched himself in the closest seat available to him - the one directly in front of where he sat. Whether he had done it on purpose wasn't certain and Sohki wouldn't say one way or another. No, instead the kirin sat there 'watching' the movie with both his popcorn and his eyes closed. He was blind, after all.]

[Wouldn't it just figure? Some things never changed. Johnny huffed.]

Yo, down in front! C'mon, there's like a ziliion other seats and ya gotta pick that one?

[The shout-outs didn't bother Sohki in the slightest. Instead he glanced back over his shoulder as if surprised to see somebody seated behind him. Granted his eyes remained constantly closed even as he 'looked' at the other.]

Oh my! However did I miss you~

Man, I dunno, maybe cuz ya weren't lookin'? C'mon, dude, just slide over one!

Aaa this creates a bit of a problem! You see, this seat is in the perfect position for me to hear the movie.

[charming_jerk]

One seat ain't gonna make the d-- Aw, forget it. [With a huff, he slides over to the next seat. LIFE IS SO HARD.]

[There's that same friendly smile on his face throughout the entire time this is going on, and it only seemed to brighten when the other shifted over one seat. Aaah it was always so entertaining to see.]

Mmm I haven't smelt one like you before. How exciting!

..."Smelt". What?

[What in the-- Does he need a shower?!]

[Sohki seems to lean in closer, as if to smell Johnny, but it also gave him a better look at the fact that Sohki never once opens his eyes.]

Mmm I can't quite put down what species you are. You're definitely not human [A pause as he seemed to inhale the scent again.] or at least not a full human. So what do you share your DNA with, hmm?

[charming_jerk]

...You can tell that by my smell? I guess you really can't see, huh. Pretty friggin' obvious I ain't all human.

[Though he kind of leans back a bit from Sohki. This is weird.] If ya really wanna know, I'm half demon.

I can tell a lot of things, but yes!

Half demon? How exciting! I've met many throughout my life, but I'm afraid we do not have such wonderful creatures in my world. So do you have powers? Oh! What might they be?

[charming_jerk]

"Wonderful". Right. Yeah, I do, but it ain't somethin' I wanna spill to a stranger.

[holy_prankster]

You don't think so? [There's a gasp] don't tell me that you're not proud of who you are?? [That's okay, he's almost impossible to offend.]

I can tell ya don't know anythin' about demons, cuz if ya did, you wouldn't even be asking me that.

[holy_prankster]

Then please do enlighten me!

...Do you actually care? [Or are you just being nosy...]

I am hardly 'just being nosy'. I find a great interest in all life, especially those from origins I've not experienced.

[charming_jerk]

I didn't s--! [holy shit what] Look, long story short, I'm a freak 'a nature. Okay?

[holy_prankster]

[He simply smiled at the obvious surprise, but spoke nothing of it.] A freak of nature? Is that because you are not full demon? Do you consider yourself that, or is it as a result of others?

[charming_jerk]

Because I'm not fully one or the other. And I grew up with humans. I know I'm a freak and so do they. Back home, all the stares, comments and bullying are enough to tell me how other people see me.

[holy_prankster]

[The bitterness was palpable to him without even looking into the soul of this half-demon, and Sohki felt his expression soften for a moment. Aaa the young, they always took things far too seriously.]

I hardly see how being half of two species makes you a 'freak'. There are many out there who breed with other species, even many humans. They aren't exactly known as the most accepting species.

And what of the demons, how do they treat you?

Cuz I am. There ain't supposed to be half-demons runnin' around. Where I come from, people don't think things like angels 'n' demons actually exist. So I'm just some super fugly dude to them anyway.

The demons just want me dead.

[holy_prankster]

Humans are like that. [They were the same in his world. Almost none of them believed of any magical creatures or gods existed either.]

It is a sad day indeed when you start thinking of yourself in such terms.

[charming_jerk]

[He shrugged a bit.] 'Least here, I don't get as many comments. There's enough weirdos runnin' around, so for the most part, people don't bring it up.

[holy_prankster]

Weirdo's, huh? [His moment of contemplation is over as he clasped his hands together with a bright smile.] Well where's the fun in being like everyone else?
