MISSION: RELEASE THEM BACK INTO THE WILD
Date & Time: April 27th - May 1st
Location: Wollongong, Australia, 2464.
Characters: All voluntary transports + maybe a few drafted ones.
Summary: Make those stay-at-homes leave their nerdcaves! My god, do they even know what sunshine looks like???
Warnings: none planned, will be updated accordingly!
The city is old, dark, and very, very quiet. A good deal of the buildings are crumbling and old, but the ones that are actually inhabited glow like candles in the dusk the Transporter has dropped you into. All of these buildings are infested by wiring pouring in from every angle, ensuring that each inhabitant in his or her little block of a room has every modern convenience available in 2464.
There is no one on the streets, no public transportation, and even cars look scarce. But that doesn't mean there's no movement. Maintenance drones, controlled remotely, run deliveries or work repairs. Armed law enforcement drones patrol on rounds through the city, although their mechanized attention is mostly turned outward. Still, they might come to investigate a ruckus within the city limits. And if the persons causing the ruckus don't respond to peaceful attempts to get them to cease, the drones might attempt to subdue them with paralyzing technology and haul them in for a night in the city jail — another dark, unused place.
If you get hungry, there are entire warehouses dedicated to the production of foods. It can't be that hard to sneak in and collect a meal, right? Or you can hack into the system and order whatever you want, if you're good with that kind of thing. Or you can just scavenge—or fast for four days, maybe—if thieving and hacking aren't your style.
And somewhere around here, in those glowing, secluded towers, behind the legions of automated drones, live the reclusive citizens of Wollongong. The methods are up to you, as long as you can get them to come out and breathe the fresh air somehow.
[[ ooc; Mission details are here! This will run from 27th of April to May 1st, with those on the mission returning to Exsilium at the same time that the new arrivals show up. It's an optional mission, but if you'd like your character to go along that would ICly sit it out, feel free to say that the Initiative drafted them for this one.
There aren't any teams or structured threads to this one, so go wild! ]]

[Oh, he does hear them. But he knows better than to react until he's sure that Asch can hear them too. ]
no subject
Here they come.
no subject
Heh, that didn't take long.
no subject
[Sure sucks to be the first of the three drones that show up, because even though he's drawn his weapon, Asch has had time to prep another Thunder Blade and he unleashes it without hesitation. Down that one goes, smoking slightly where the circuits are fried, and Asch is going for the second with his blade, leaving the last one to Kaneis.
And yes, Asch is keeping as much of an eye on the other redhead as he is on his drone. These things aren't armed, after all - it's really just a matter of stabbing them in the right place, between the plates of the metal coverings.]
no subject
[Zelos with his own sword will go take out the third one. He's swift, so much so that the drone is falling to the ground by the time Asch is done with his, cleaved in half]
no subject
That ought to take care of things here for a while.
no subject
One part done, dozens more to go.
no subject
[As said by someone who really does understand that.]
You planning on coming along?
no subject
Don't see why not.
no subject
Let's get moving, then. Unless you want to try against some of their police drones?
no subject
no subject
[Don't worry, Kaneis, Asch could totally bust you out. Busting other redheads out of prison is one of his specialties.]

no subject
Sounds like a story.
[And HEY he's walking because it's time to get a move on, seriously.]
no subject
Oh it was actually more boring than you might imagine. Just a lesson not to hit on a sheriff's daughter.
no subject
[He's not sure if that makes it better or worse. Casual fence-hopping is a go instead.]
no subject
Really! Though in my defense, I had no idea who she was!
no subject
Not very professional, I take it.
[Yes, his "seriously?" is directed at the anonymous sheriff now. That's not a punishable offence in any town he's ever been to.]
no subject
Not at all! Talk about a real hard ass he was!
no subject
And how did you get out?
[Oh look there's another electrical box. Asch will pause long enough to Thunder Blade this one, too, and then be on his way.]
no subject
[Wow jeez you sure like the thunderblade and not warning anyone. He'll watch before following along]
no subject
[Better that than the hyperresonance and not warning anyone. At least Thunder Blades are survivable, in theory. Having your atoms torn apart by vibrating fonons, not so much.]
no subject
[Actually no i'm pretty sure lightning kills man]
no subject
[Yes, that was a joke.
And what are you talking about? This is an RPG, no one dies short of being run through by at least three swords.]
no subject
Aw well- you win some, you lose some!
