[ It's been a few days since the expedition with Tin Tin, and the ...conversation with Sohki and then Juvia acting weird. But it was really the talk with Sohki that put Lucy on edge most of all. HE KNEW. Or thought he knew (no Lucy, he knows.) And she knew she was acting weird around Natsu as a result of it. Jumpier, prone to distraction and such. So to get her mind off it, she decided to go training - with Juvia, this time, because training with Natsu would just make her more conflicted. So Lucy stood opposite from the water mage, snapping out of her distant woolgathering mode, and smiled tightly, brown eyes scanning the room for anyone else that might come in and train. ]

Juvia, I had an idea about our training today. To make it more of a challenge, and fun at the same time, I mean.

[A training session was a good way for Juvia to clear her head too. With her crazy imagination acting up yet again, she came to some pretty ridiculous conclusions (particularly involving Gray) and wanted help to ease them away. She also brought her dagger that she received when she first got here in hopes of training with it some more since Kratos had left for good.

Now Juvia tilts her head to Lucy as she stretches her arms above her head, looking puzzled at the statement]

Would this have something to do with Aquarius?

[ Lucy shakes her head, grinning. ]

Not exactly. Though I may call on her if it comes to it. [ Aquarius and Juvia were pretty evenly matched - but she might get mad at Lucy if she interrupts a date by accident. ._. ]

It's something I read in a book, actually. Have you heard of Capture the Flag?

[Oh this time she won't let Aquarius bet her! Hmmm, Juvia places a hand on her chin, look she's thinking]

Juvia thinks she has. It's where you have to capture a flag, right?

[No she hasn't. She just got that much from the title...]

[ WE WILL SEE >:D er, ahem. Lucy giggles lightly, nodding. ]

Yeah, pretty much. It's usually played with a larger team, but we don't have that luxury right now. But look!

[ She trots over to the bag she brought with her, pulling out a pair of makeshift flags - pretty much just cloth on a stick really, and waves one at Juvia. ]

We can use these. Basically the goal is to keep the other team - or rather you or I - from grabbing the flag by defending our respective sides. There's another one similar, where the goal is to grab the flag off of the opposite team.

[ Really either game would be better suited to a larger area, but this would have to do. ]

[IT IS OOOOON]

[Juvia looks around the training room. Yeaaah, probably be better if they were in a bigger area, but oh well. She wasn't going to complain about it now, she just nods at Lucy and holds out her hand for her flag]

Juvia gets it now. It's actually sounds far simpler than she initially thought...and involves a lot less water.

[ OH IT IS SO ON YOU ... uh.. it's just really on. I have no metaphor for it okay ]

Here you go! [ Lucy reaches over, handing the flag over to Juvia. She plants her own flag by sticking it onto the wall behind her neatly. Nice and defended, Yeah... but don't worry, she has a contingency! ]

Less water now - I'm better the place will get pretty flooded by the time we're done. [ Suddenly impish. ]

How about we make it even more interesting? Loser has to do something for the winner; best 2 out of 3 wins?

[ You're going to WASH HER DISHES. ]

[That's okay I don't either]

[Juvia does the same, planting her flag somewhere on her side of the room close to the wall, then walking back to where Lucy is. Though she's not sure how fair this is really....Lucy has spirits! Then again they are part of her magic, just like her water]

Do something...? [She didn't know. But on the other hand, it did sound interesting] Right. If that's the case, Juvia isn't going to lose!

[ She has spirits and you can turn into water! You can still win this! But Lucy won't make it easy for you :3 She grins at Juvia's response, nodding quickly. ]

All right, that's the spirit! Okay then - [ She places a hand against her whip, carefully unhooking it. ]

I won't go easy on you, Juvia! [ She actually doesn't really know what she's going to have Juvia do, but whatever, she'll think of something later! She takes the first attack, sending the length of her whip twisting forward, to Juvia's right. ]

[THAT IS TRUE. Same for Juvia~ She might have a cocky smirk on her face right now]

Juvia won't either. [She won't hurt her obviously, but you know. Juvia raises one hand in front of her and takes a quick step to the side, just barely dodging the whip. To counter Lucy's attack she sends her own water whip at her, lashing her arm out until it turns to liquid, though the force of the water whip isn't nearly as strong as it usually would be- just enough barely sting someone. Lucy better dodge!]

[ Excellent! This will be fun, and no potential awkwardness like if she were training with -- wait, she's supposed to not think about Natsu. Like Juvia, Lucy darts to the side - dodging is where she excels! ...hmm. Using her whip versus Juvia's water whip is going to keep them at an even keel - so she reaches for her key, only to pause. This is fun training, so she's going to check for permission first. ]

You don't mind if I use them, right?

[ Them being her spirits, of course. But the question is followed by another quick snap of her whip, since she's not going to stop the training to ask questions. That'd be silly. ]

Which one?

[She doesn't really mind or anything, but she is curious about what she would be going to go up against so she could plan accordingly. Juvia stops for a sec, but when Lucy uses he whip again she turns her body to water so it goes through her, then gives another lash of her water whip towards her opponent.

She better keep on alert!]

[ WHOAH, almost got tagged there. But Lucy was always great at dodging projectiles - still she stumbles when Juvia's attack snaps near her leg. Too evenly matched if they're going to use ranged attacks, so she'll change things up a bit. ]

I'll show you! [ She draws the key forth, grinning. ]

Open, Gate of the Archer! Saggitarius!

[ That one, Juvia. And that one immediately salutes Lucy. ]

Hello! Excuse me -! [ He turns towards Juvia, drawing back his arrows and releasing three in quick succession - clearly not intenting to hit her, but trying to drive her back and away from the flag. DEVIOUS. ]

[ After the girls had finished training, normally they went their separate ways. BUT Lucy wasn't having that. Rather, she dragged Juvia off to her apartment and fussed her to go shower because they needed to freshen up. After the ritual primping was completed, it was time to head out to check out the bar(s). This was EXACTLY what she needed to get her mind off of ...certain salmon-haired Dragon Slayers, YEP. (Although Juvia was probably going to drag her mind back on that topic kicking and screaming). Fair enough though, since Lucy was going to drag Juvia out to have FUN darn it, even if it killed her. ]

[This is Juvia, of course it will be brought up. Though luckily for Lucy, not too much. Thinking about Gray not being here made her very depressed and she didn't want that. Well, she was still going to think about him as much as possible, but she didn't have much of a chance to, not tonight anyway. Lucy dragging her out for a good time and all.

After freshening up and heading out to some bar, the water mage quickens her step to catch up to Lucy as they walk]

Miss Lucy, where exactly are we going again?

[ MERCY Juvia, MERCY. Although when it came to Juvia being depressed vs Trolling Lucy with things, Lucy thinks she'd prefer the trolling. But she was sure Juvia would cheer up in due time. ]

It's a bar with a really classy name, that I heard about. It's called the Cascade Lounge.

[ Beam. ]

I bet it's really fancy, with crystal chandeliers and a pianist setting the mood with beautiful piano music and everything.

[ Spoilers: It's not. ]

[At least was is more or less friendly trolling or oblivious trolling, they kind of went hand and hand in this case. Either way, Juvia can't remember the last time she's had a girl's night out with ANYONE. The last time was probably in the bathhouse with the other Fairy Tail girls before the tournament

Ah...Juvia bets it'll be really romantic in there too! [Not with Lucy...but you get the idea!]

[ Why is she not surprised you'd say something like that? ]

Romantic. You know...elegance, candles and classical music...?

[She sure is thinking of Gray right now. Woops]

Um... well, yeah, I guess you're right. It sounds really nice - [ Wait, why is she thinking of Natsu all of a sudden? He wouldn't like a place like that, it'd be boring! ... but still, a romantic setting, maybe a slow dance and -- UH. ]

I think that's it there! [ Lucy you came out here to STOP thinking about Natsu. STOPPIT. She focuses her attention on a map in her hands, checking her bearings. ]

Yeah, that's it all right.

[If only Juvia knew she was thinking of him, she might stop pestering her a lot less. To a certain extent.

She looks to lucy. Then back up at the bar. Then to Lucy again]

Are you sure that's it?

[ Lucy will never tell. E V E R. And she's lucky Juvia doesn't have telepathy like Sohki does. Sigh. Studying the map again, she glances back to Juvia. ]

Um... Yes? [ :D S-she marches on. ]

Come on, I'm sure it's fine!

[Well....if she said so. Juvia follows in pursuit, she's at least a step behind Lucy]

There doesn't seem to be any music playing. [Or the kind of music she thought there would be anyway] Where's the man in the tuxedo?

Um... [ Lucy glances around hesitantly, because... there's no chandeliers anywhere. Not even a glass one! And no cushy lounge chairs, or glamorous dance floors or anything. ]

Maybe... Maybe we're early! [ .. though it was at least eight o'clock, shouldn't that be right about when the music and whatnot starts? ]

[Juvia thinks this ain't no fancy place at all, but they were already here...]

Juvia guesses we should find a place to sit down then, if we wait a bit longer something might happen.
