[It was Sophie's idea to hold a dinner. A dinner of family, for everyone to have a chance to meet each other and get to know each other better. It seemed like a nice way to welcome everyone into this horrible war. But hey, food! And so, Allen and Sophie made sure to invite their friends, family and comrades in order to have a warm evening together]
[And Kaneis, well, at least he isn't climbing out the back window at the prospect of social interaction for hours. This my friends, is progress. ]
[But gather around friends and family and terrifying boss! There's food, people, wine and games to be had! Just you know, try not to cough in it you sick jerks]
[OOC: KITCHEN | DINING TABLE...FLOOR...COUNTER | LIVING ROOM | BEDROOMS. Please feel free to tag around, thread hop and just have fun! If I left anyone out of the attending list please let me know! ]

To be honest, I'm not sure. She was laying down, so at least she's been getting some rest. I wonder if maybe the party woke her up, though.
no subject
It's possible. But things are winding down now, so she should be able to get some more rest soon. Do you think she's fallen ill like some natives have been?

[Some more looking around finally yields a half-emptied box of tea bags. Asbel retrieves this and makes his way over to Lenalee to watch what she's doing. Don't mind him, he doesn't have a whole lot of kitchen experience.]
Not to be a bother, but is it possible to check the temperature somehow? She said she wanted it at exactly 60 degrees.
no subject
S-Sixty?
[ she shan't judge, but the water is well above sixty on the dot, just beginning a gentle boil— Lenalee hastily removes the kettle from the element ] Well, if you could find a thermometer....
no subject
Well, that's what she asked for, anyway. Sixty degrees Celcius with two spoons of sugar. [He recited it all the way to the kitchen, so he's pretty sure he didn't mess it up.]
A thermometer? All right, let's take another look then... [Asbel steps aside and starts opening and shutting drawers to search for one, finally succeeding at some point and setting it down on the counter between them.]
It sure would be a lot easier if everything was arranged alphabetically or grouped together by type.
no subject
People aren't that focused on organisation, usually.
no subject
No, I guess not. But it still seems like you'd want to be able to find things quickly when you're preparing food in a kitchen.
[I mean, suppose your soup boiled over while you were looking for the vegetables to go in it.]
no subject
Well, part of the preparation is collecting all what you need for a meal before you need it.
no subject
Even the items you're supposed to keep cold?
no subject
Well— it isn't as if they're to be left sitting out for long.
no subject
So, do you think it's about ready for tea yet? I should probably hunt down a tray to carry it on, too.
[Frederic always carried the tea in on a tray.]
no subject
Ah... it should come close enough, now. [ dipping the thermometer a second time gives her a little above seventy, and she carefully pours off an inch into the sink and fills that space again with cooler water; in goes the teabag ]
I'm not sure if they'll have a tray, [ allen and zelos just don't strike her the type ] but a saucer will do. Once it's steeped, it'll be good to have a place to put the teabag.
