Warnings: F for food?!

[This month's haul of transports seemed to bring in a lot of familiar faces for the residents of 103. Friends, family, comrades, terrifying generals who are your boss now- all sorts! ]

[It was Sophie's idea to hold a dinner. A dinner of family, for everyone to have a chance to meet each other and get to know each other better. It seemed like a nice way to welcome everyone into this horrible war. But hey, food! And so, Allen and Sophie made sure to invite their friends, family and comrades in order to have a warm evening together]

[And Kaneis, well, at least he isn't climbing out the back window at the prospect of social interaction for hours. This my friends, is progress. ]

[But gather around friends and family and terrifying boss! There's food, people, wine and games to be had! Just you know, try not to cough in it you sick jerks]

[OOC: KITCHEN | DINING TABLE...FLOOR...COUNTER | LIVING ROOM | BEDROOMS. Please feel free to tag around, thread hop and just have fun! If I left anyone out of the attending list please let me know! ]

Well, Magic Carta's a popular collectible card game back home. See, you've got a deck of "reading cards" and a pile of "grabbing cards" with pictures on them. So first, someone draws a card from the deck and reads off whatever's written on it. Something like, I dunno, "I am the champion!". Then everyone rushes to be the first to find the matching card from the pile. And when you do, you get to recite the other part to the quote.

Magic Carta's most fun when you read out the quotes as the person on the cards. [He laughs good-naturedly.] Pascal and I used to get really into it!

[Someone start up a LARPing group in Exsilium, seriously. What is roleplaying?]

And then Shotcube. It's this puzzle game played with blocks of ice. They're arranged on a board, and you have to slide them all into place to form a perfect square in the center. You can't shoot any of them over the edge or have any blocks left over. It's actually harder than it sounds!

[That said, Asbel moves another pawn forward.]

Yeah, something like that!

[OMG KANEIS WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM IT'S FUN! Besides, once you get into it, it's only natural to want to complete the set.]

And well, it wasn't a problem before because of the climate, so the ice never melted all that much. Here, I'm not so sure.

[He thinks for a moment.] It should be possible to draw up a game board and play something similar on a smaller scale, though. You could use nine dice and a pencil, maybe? Or sugar cubes and a straw. There are lots of options. True, it'd play a little differently, but the idea's the same.

[HOW IS THAT A PROBLEM? MAYBE YOU'RE NOT NERDY ENOUGH! See? It's totally fun. Kaneis should try it.]

Well, yeah, but the enclave itself was still fairly comfortable.

[Does that mean Kaneis is willing to give Shot Cube a shot? Asbel rises to his feet.] Sounds good, Kaneis. Then I'll go look for some.
