Location: Transport Clinic
Characters: Zelos/Kaneis and you!
Summary: Evening/Night shift at the clinic. All welcomed, whether they be checking out the clinic, working at the clinic or that unfortunate dude who put their weapon in a very wrong spot.
Warnings: PG-13 for language and possible gore since hey IT IS A CLINIC.

[No matter how strange Zelos's life get, he can always count on his clinic shifts being one of two things: incredibly boring or incredibly strange. There was no middle ground.]

[Any night that you come in, you'll probably find Zelos sitting at the reception desk, with his feet on top if none of his bosses are around. If he's not attending to any patients or talking to staff, he seems to be reading- looks like the flavor of this month for literature is fantasy. And sometimes, he even seems to be talking to the book]

Oh come on Buttercup my beautiful flower, there's no way he'll actually release him. Jeez...

[And so on. Rest assured guys, this is a professional medic here. You can tell by the lab coat. ]

[He notices that, though he doesn't have trouble hearing it. He'll write on the pad again and hold it up]

What kind of magic?

[limitstorm]

Wind, and fire magic. I was--it was too strong, and I th-threw myself against a wall... and my hearing went out.

[wilder]

Hmmmm....maybe he damaged an eardrum?

[Oh right, he can't hear him. Writing again!]

Follow me, I'll take a look

[And with that, he turns and starts heading into the clinic itself and to an examine room]

[ riku glances to stellaluna before he follows after kaneis, a little shaky on his feet but able to keep himself up.

[He'll lead him into an exam room, and point at a chair for Riku to sit. He then goes to grab a small flashlight so he can take a look at the kid's ears]

[ riku haphazardly sat down into the chair, wincing as he rubbed his cheek, dropping his hands into his lap when kaneis came back over.

that sure is one ruptured eardrum. ]

[wilder]

[He pulls back as he looks at it]

Hmmm, yep it's as I thought.

[With a sigh, he puts down the flashlight and starts concentrating on a spell. There's some glowing white glyphs around him]

Heal!

[And yes, then there's white and blue sparkles around Riku's head and ear canal fixing that up!]

[limitstorm]

[ there's a startled sound as riku jumps in his seat, awkwardly grasping onto the armrest and leaning a little away from him as the magic starts to heal. ]

[wilder]

Whoa- careful.

[When the spell is down, he'll tilt his head a bit at him]

Can you hear me?

[limitstorm]

[ riku hesitates for a moment before looking to kaneis, rubbing his ear. ]

Yeah, I-- I mean. Yeah, I can.

[ he's trying not to be excessively jumpy around this place, but it's hard not to be. ]

[wilder]

Cool. [he nods]

Sorry, usually I like to give people a little more warning but you couldn't exactly hear me, sooo....[Yeah]

[limitstorm]

[ a sigh. ]

Right, of course.

... [ ... ] So you're probably gonna tell me not to do magic for a while, aren't you?

[wilder]

Well, definitely not near your ears, yeah.

[limitstorm]

Ha-ha.

[ blushing a little probs as he gets up. ]

[wilder]

Heh...

Just be careful when using wind and fire magic at the same time. They have a tendency to make things...blow up if not used properly.

[limitstorm]

[ ... orz ]

Oh. Guess I'll cross that off my list.

[ then-- ]

So you're a mage? I haven't seen too many people who're just magic-oriented.

[wilder]

A magical swordsmen, actually. Well, when I'm not acting as a healer anyway.

[Which seems to happen all the time geez...]

[limitstorm]

[ a huff ]

So we're similar. Destiny has a funny way of playing games.

Anyway--I should go. ... probably lay down, too.

[wilder]

Heh...destiny, sure.

[Not so sure he likes that concept ever]

Yeah, go lie down. Take it easy for a day, you should be fine.

[limitstorm]

[ welp let's not mention that he's from destiny islands then

before he walks out, he actually turns back and-- ]

What do you do when you take a day off? I've... never really...

[ he trails off. yeah. go ahead, kaneis. please tell him what to do. ]

[he raises an eyebrow]

Seriously? You've never taken one before?

[limitstorm]

[ a fluster; ]

Haha, yeah Sheena said you were the sort of kid who puts the universe on his shoulders.

As for what you should do...I dunno, you got any hobbies?

[limitstorm]

[ WOW THANKS SHEENA WHAT ELSE HAVE YOU TOLD HIM.

yeah he is legit bristling in embarrassment. mumble; ]

Nevermind.

[ way too complicated to admit that the universe is kind of on his shoulders. mastership kind of sounds weird to everyone he meets, really. at least he doesn't try to explain the keyblade on account of knowing just how ridiculous 'i battle with a giant key that can open everything' sounds. ]

[WOULDN'T YOU LIKE TO KNOW. He makes a very soft amused sound before reaching over to put a hand on his shoulder]

Hey, listen. Even if you do have the universe on your shoulders? You're still human, no matter what others seem to think. That means you still have all our flaws, needs and you gotta unwind sometimes.

And so, as your doctor, I'm telling you to do that. Read, play games, sleep, cook, hang out with friends, do some crafts - whatever it is you find relaxing that has nothing to do with your duties. And do that for a day at least once a week, okay?
