Summary: Raven takes Equius out for a walk.
Warnings: None so far! Blue people bein' blue?

[She's still not 100% certain she understands how trolls are supposed to work, but at least she has some idea of their relationships, now. After her little chat with Sollux, she's sure that she'll be able to hold something against the other troll if it becomes necessary.

She's grown rather fond of Equius in their time together in the prehistoric. They'd spoken relatively little, but she saw him as, in some ways, a younger version of her friend Hank. Not quite as geeky, maybe, but still quite awkward.

Once she's at his door, she lifts her hand to knock -- and hopes that Sollux isn't the one who answers the door.]

[He frowns, puffing out his chest a little and staring infront of him, following her lead mostly.]

Bad.

[But... good bad, it's bad but- ugh. He doesn't really know...]

[She kind of suspects it might be that weird good-bad that Sollux had been talking about, but frankly -- well, she doesn't really want to get into that.

She turns the corner into the store.]

Well, uh. I'd say I'm sure he doesn't mean it, but that would be a lie.

[She won't say why he means it, though.]

Yes, I don't know why you would say that then, since you know it's a blatant lie. [A huff, his teeth clenching together. He wants to say he hopes Sollux stays still... despite him trashing the other boy's room. But he still doesn't feel sorry for doing it. The blasted peasant deserved it for insulting Equius a moirail.]

[Equius follows, sure to let her open doors if they don't open on their own. More because he'd just break them if anything.]

Well, I thought it might make you feel better -- but I didn't think you'd believe me anyway.

[And it might mess with -- whatever they need to do for troll hate-mance to happen.]

I don't need to feel better. I'm fine, and, yes, you are right. I wouldn't've.

[How does hatemance even work, how does romance even work.]

[She heads for the produce section.]

I'm going to get a few things here. [Since he tends to not, uh, eat meat. Excuse him while he gets some vegetables and fruits before glancing her way.]

[She's got mostly sweet fruits, and she's also grabbed an armful of chips.

...okay, she's still not a complete adult, all right.]

I should probably grab something for the boys, too.

Boys? Who you live with you mean?

[She nods.]

...I mean, they're both older than me, but.

Oh... who are they to you?

One of them is my brother, the other's his -- associate.

Ah right, yes... Of course. [Seems to calm a little.]

Is living with them... acceptable?

Well, I've been living with Charles for years.

[She is not broaching the subject of what living with Charles and Erik together is like.]

It isn't like I've got much of a choice.

Yes, he is your brother, assuming I am correct in that relationship as far as your race goes, it makes sense for either of you to live together- choice? Why? Does he hold some authority over were you take up residency?

It's where we were assigned, but -- it's more that he thinks I need watching over, I guess.

[It's irritating, sure, but it's better than fighting with him over petty things -- if they're going to fight, let it be over the differences in their ideals. It was nice to pretend things could go back to normal for the handful of times that things seem to go right with them here.]

Is he your moirail...? [Can a brother even fill a quadrant? part of the pale quadrant is protection after all. Is a sibling better for filling a platonic quadrant? How do siblings even work.]

[She thinks back to what Sollux talked to her about.]

That's a -- platonic love thing, right? I don't really know the specifics.

I mean, I love him -- he loves me, but it's a lot more complicated than that.

Yes, platonic. A moirailship is between two people who mutually try to calm eachother down and stop eachother from making ridiculous and dangerous decisions. ...Complicated- right...

I mean, he took care of me when we were younger, and I take care of him when he goes overboard at the bar, or whatever -- but we sort of butt heads on some things.

[Troll relationships are not confusing at all and each one is extremely necessary.]

I don't really understand this 'brother' role you humans have. it is extremely confusing and seems like a mix or many other roles that should be separate.

I guess that's just the way it is for people. Relationships are complex things.

[She shrugs.]

It's frustrating, sure, but it leaves room for change.
