EVENT: HERE THERE BE MONSTERS

Summary: The Transports return from their mission to find the island crawling with monsters.
Warnings: Violence, possibly injuries (notify a mod if there's cause to add a particular warning!)

The Transports return from their mission to Medieval Russia, but the Initiative Hold is eerily deserted. Normally, their would be a number of Initiative personnel prepared to meet the Transports at the end of their mission for debriefing.

Instead, there is only silence.

That is, until a distant thumping sound can be heard. It is growing closer, and suddenly the beast is bursting into the room. It lets out a roar and charges. Within minutes, it is easily defeated, but damage has already been done -- it collided with the Transporter machine, which is now making a low fizzling sound and lets off a couple sparks. The commotion is enough to draw the attention of the few remaining Initiative personnel who still inhabit the Hold, who arrive immediately afterwards. They are able to tell the Transports two things: that the machine is broken and currently unable to sent anyone back in time, and that the island has been overrun with aggressive, mutated beasts sent by the United Earth. They have been under siege for months, with the island's population reduced to a mere fraction of what it had once been.

She had lent her assistance to those she could, but ultimately the large monsters had to be dealt with for anyone to even be marginally safe. She did not like the idea of needing to kill them, but that was really the only choice here. She had to tell herself that this could all be fixed, that the lives taken today would not have happened once the timeline was corrected. Still... she was already pushing her own rules to the limits, even if she could operate at her own discretion.

She ignored the little ones, others could deal with the little ones. But she did make her way towards the an who tore through them with a rhythm and answered his shout.

"I will assist anyone who wishes to prevent them from reaching the safe zone. Though I don't enjoy the idea of participating in taking the life of a living creature."

"Sounds like somebody needs a hero!" Baldur's call is answered by an enthusiastic, bounding panda. He quickly joins the two already assembled, staff in hand and kung fu pose at the ready. "Don't worry dude, and...uh...girl-dude, these giants are going to feel the thunder of my Justice Stick." Beat. "Okay the name needs work. But yeah! Helping! With giants! By hitting them! That's me!"

Balder sliced open another beast, happy to hear voices answering him.

"We need a plan to drive them back if not destroy them," shouts Balder. He does not like to kill either, but he will not hesitate if he has to.

"Can either of you fly? Those on the ground could distract the beasts while another reached their eyes and ears."

Always go for the sensitive bits.

"I can," though her attention was a bit distracted, she was trying to figure out just what this panda was doing. He seemed to be... well... a little strange.

She couldn't help it, she turned to the silly panda with a concerned expression. "Are you sure you're prepared to deal with these creatures?"

"If he is ready to fight and die alongside us, he is welcome," Balder says firmly. One couldn't judge a bear by his appearance.

He addresses her again. "I will need you in the sky."

"I would rather he not be ready to die needlessly however," a wasted life did no good for anyone. But she would not stop the panda from his efforts.

"Then I will take to it. Is there anything in particular you wish for me to do?"

"It is not his death but his valor that we require," says Balder. When he says it, it sounds like a speech or a declaration--a side effect of being Asgard's king.

"Blind or deafen them, and they may be discouraged and retreat."

"I would still rather he not die," valor only meant so much when death could have been prevented.

She nodded and slowly ascended into the air. Enough of a show and perhaps they would get scared and run away. It was worth hoping at least.

"Then I will give them something to hopefully frighten them," she raised her arm and seemed, for a moment, to draw in the energy around her. "Judgment: Guilty or Not Guilty."

After her words the spell card was activated, from her sides red and blue streams of energy formed as she lowered her arm towards one of the closer creatures, in the direction she pointed a large stream of purple energy flew. It was only for a moment though, but that wasn't the end of it. Blue and red orbs were sent out around her, ready to hit any nearby monsters.
