Location: Near the Botanical Gardens
Characters: EVERYONE AND ANYONE. Ehether it was previously arranged with Fiona, someone else did the convincing, or they just happen to be around at the right time.
Summary: Second Defense Meeting. Some chatting, some sparring, a little showing off, and everything in between.
Warnings: Swearing and violence, very yes.



[Only problem with trying to have the meeting near a botanical garden is unfortunately the spacious non-elevated scenery. At least last time there was rubble to hop on, but no matter. Near the front of the gathering crowd, Fiona will do what she can to find something to stand on and if that’s not enough she’ll tap her staff loudly onto the ground and it’ll produce a bright light for a moment. Hopefully it’s an attention grabber.]

Thank you everyone for coming to our second defense meeting. For those of you coming again and those of you here for the first time, welcome. Although this place itself is hardly one to be welcomed to, I am glad to see others here. We are trying to be a united effort and for this I say welcome to. I’m Fiona and I’m the one who has been coordinating the meetings thus far.

[A short breath as a small bitterness creeps onto her tone of voice] As I can never stress enough, those Initiative bastards here are unorganized fools who trip over themselves while we are expected to win this war of theirs for them. Although they have made some improvements since the recent battle they still lack any generals or commanders to guide us. We are our own guidance and our own defense andit is up to ourselves to keep each other safe and deliver a blow on this enemy of theirs without sacrificing each other to do so.

I won’t lie to you, this defense may not only be one against the UE. In past months the Initiative has performed… tests on those they’ve brought here. These tests have been harmful to us, from poisoning to using our own memories against us. Whatever mishap or cause that they may claim to have brought these tests about still proves their incapability to defend the very soldiers they’ve brought here unwillingly to fight. However just their cause may be, we are on our own to defend ourselves. From whatever may come against us.

For the meeting today, I hope for everyone to get to know one another. That is our greatest disadvantage. We are all from different worlds where some have magic, or technology, or neither. It is impossible to predict what each other are capable of and that is why we must learn. If we do not then lives may be lost for what we never cared to know.

Our third meeting to come we will be deciding our leaders. For as it stands there are none.

Each person attending our meetings will be able to nominate a person they see fit to lead those around them. But they will not be able to nominate themselves. Three nominations and others may vote for them. Those nominated will be allowed to make a short speech during the meeting’s time and answer questions to those concerned. At the end of the meeting we will vote. And hopefully we will have five leaders by the end of our third meeting. These leaders will be choosing groups that the rest of us will adhere to. Come our fourth meeting, we will see if the chosen leaders are the ones right for their positions and if the groups made are truly capable of defending one another.

We will not allow each other to fall.

[After Fiona hops down from whatever she was trying to stand on for projecting her speech, she’ll stand before whatever crowd and dive into more proper introductions, her staff will be raised now and mana collecting at the top of it.]

As I recently stated, I’m Fiona. I’m a mage from Thedas which means I have the ability to wield magic.

[With a short clutch of her hand ice will swallow a plant some distance from her crystallizing it to seem like an ice sculpture. A few moments later a large stone fist appears above her and shoots towards it, shattering the plant. She’ll give a short smile to the end result.]

And for those unaware, that is some of the capabilities of magic.

[A young woman in light armor stands off to the side for most of the meeting until other introductions are made, and then she finally steps forward to introduce herself and say her part. She makes no effort to wave or call attention to herself, though her tone reflects some kind of mild authority even if she hardly raises her voice.]

My name is Elissa Cousland and I'm also from the world called Thedas. You'll probably grow sick of hearing its name.

[She gives a wry smile.]

I'm a commander back in my home world and, for the most part, I dual wield. There are some other skills I'm good at [like stealing, picking locks, and making explosives] but I imagine they wouldn't be of much interest.

[It feels foolish having to introduce herself, especially after a sequence of introductions. But it is in her very nature to vie for a leadership position, and as such, when she finds an opportunity to introduce herself before the masses...she does so.

She doesn't wear any fancy armour, nor does she carry any fancy weapon. But she does carry a presence and an edge to her voice, and as she addresses the group she does command attention in the way any well-trained political leader may.

Her voice is brisk, and settles into a rhythm of someone who has given many a speech in her life.]

I am Anora Theirin of Ferelden, and I too hail from Thedas. I may not possess magic to easily impress the masses, and I may not wield fanciful swords or daggers or what-have-you [slight digs at Fiona and Elissa...sorry guys not] but I do possess talent and skills that will do us good in times to come.

I am a queen. And while being queen of Ferelden may mean little to those who do not come from Thedas, I assure you that it is my knowledge of ruling and commanding that does, in fact, mean something. Anyone can be queen given the right circumstances and blood, but it takes a special few to be a great queen. I was taught by the very best, raised with a queenship in mind. For five years I have ruled a nation on my first husband's behalf, and will continue to do so in years following shall I ever return home.

I am an intellectual, I am a thinker, I am an excellent strategist and I know how to play this game and win.

I am well-loved by my people in Ferelden, and I hope to instill a similar sort of trust with my fellow Transports. I may be queen from where I am, but I am also one of you. My interest lies in my fellow Transports' success, and I look forward to working with all of you.

[ Well. Introductions was it? He listened to the others, some of them people he had talked to in the past, others so much more. and when they started taking turns he decided to list his own meager skills.

I am called Takegami Teijirou and I come from Tokyo, Japan of one of the many earths. Magic is not known nor is any of the stranger things I have heard since coming here, but I do not find any of the different people alarming nor would I react as if you are evil, unlike some might. [ His roommate's reactions towards people from other realities still makes him want to introduce his head to a handy tree. ]

I have some small skill in martial arts, piano playing and flirting, and had been a host in Japan for several years. I think that my main skills laying in observing and remembering what people tell me, and while i can defend myself, I do not think my skills are that of a warrior.
