This don't look like Mar Sara [Open]

Date and Time: The 18th after 5pm
Location: Area around the housing units
Characters: Jim Raynor and anyone who notices him
Summary: Jim has just arrived and needs a place to remove his marine armor and a drink. The second probably more than the first.
Warnings: Someone needs a drink.

By the time Jim was briefed on what was going on he was irritated. Pulled right before storming Mengsk's damn ship for this was frustrating. Sure it was for a good cause but the timing sucked. After all of that he needed a drink, damn shame it didn't look like there was a bar around.

There was an apartment building he had a room saved for him, and probably going right there and taking off the damn tactical marine armor would have been a good move, but this was Egon's territory and he wasn't there to be harmless and overwhelmed and use small words Jim could understand.

"Damn, Earth of all places and I can't find a decent place to get drunk."

"There are a few tavens," she offered before turning to head down the street, her cloak billowing behind her. "Follow."

She said nothing further as she began to walk down the street. The sound of the gears working within the joints could be heard while she travelled. The gunner moved silently, unnaturally so, but it was difficult to hear over the sound of the man's engine.

Time rolled by as she moved down the street before the flickering lights of one of the tavens came into sight. Her boots came to a stop a few metres from the entrance. With a gesture towards the entrance, she finally turned her cool green gaze back over to his armoured form. "Here."

"You asked for ale," the gunner said in reply. She wastched quietly as he started to enter. There was a moment where she considered just continuing on, and she paused as if to weigh her options.

"I drink at times," she offered with a pleasant smile. "Depends on the company."

It was rare that she ever settled herself down long enough for a drink. The Guild wasn't hunting her here though, but it was difficult for her to lower her guard so much. Eyeing him thoughtfully, she huffed lightly before silently slipping by and into the building. She'd grown used to the technologies and building designs of this world. Walking like someone who owned the room, the gunner approached the bar.

There weren't many people in there, just a few scattered around quietly drinking by themselves. Much like the city itself, it seemed to be an area for those who were lost. She gracefully slipped onto the bar stool. There was no need for a gesture to gain attention. The fact that there was a woman there was enough, but given the one who followed in afterwards, it was easily gained.

"An ale," she told the man behind the bar.

She didn't seem to be bothered by his armour, or his large size as he came to sit near. Whiskey was unknown to her, but she could guess that its strength was far more than the ale that most drank in her world.

Her drink arrived first, the foam of it crawling over the edge of the thick glass. "Mmm drinking with an unknown man in a suit of armour. I haven't done that for a few weeks, " Elza murmured before reaching out for her drink to take it in hand. Raising it up in his direction, she smiled at the mysterious man beside her. "So, tell me abotu yourself."

Just a farm boy? In her mind, that was one fancy piece of armour. Although finding out that he had people gunning for him was something that she could understand. "Mmm you must have done something rather naughty in order to get so many people after you," she murmured with a smile on her lips.

Raising her large glass, she took a dainty sip of the amber liquid. "You'd be guessing correctly right with that." But whether she was referring to the local ghost or not being from these parts, she'd let him take his pick.

"Borrowed a flagship, huh? Mmm it seems to be a theme," Elza said. There was a look of amusement in her eyes as she took a sip of her ale. While her idea of a ship was one that floated in the water, for thoughts of space was almost never in the minds of those within her realm. "Sounds like busy work."

"So you're at war then?" The question was more of a statement than anything else. Judging by what the man spoke of, it was the logical conclusion.

There was a shrug in return while she muttered, "I've seen it done many times." That was, after all, how the Dunan war started, and the rebellion against the Scarletmoon Empire.

A glance over towards his gesture had her returning it with the raising of her own. "You're a man of hope then?"

"Heh, I had hope once. Guess that means that I'm 'worse than beat' as well then?" Elza said with a small quirk of her lips before glancing at him. "Or does that only involve men in your world?"
