MISSION: GET TO ZE CHOPPA

Characters: All transports!
Summary: All transports are sent back to Uruguay to download a self-aware AI before it gets bombed out of existence by an early incarnation of the UE. Time distortion effects will be set right either on the way there or on the way back, according to player choice.
Warnings: violence, action movie tension, 3 terabytes of foot fetish porn.

The Transporter drops the entire transport population into what will quickly be established as Home Base, a mile from the vast, sprawling facility that is Uruguay's National Defense HQ. The low roar of helidrones moving above is pervasive, but the black ships can only be glimpsed here and there through the thick cover of trees overhead. If you keep calm and quiet, it's likely you won't be spotted. It's the UND HQ their attention is on, after all.

The population is quickly sorted by attending Initiate employees according to who volunteers to fight and who volunteers to protect, along with those with enough skill to access the computers, and those with enough skill to get them there. The fighters move out first, off to intercept the early UE's ships and ground troops, and to draw the automated defense systems of the facility alike. They'll be in a crossfire, and neither side will be happy to see them there.

The techies and their escorts are sent out far more quietly, in groups of three. Their task is to sneak past the front lines and into the facility itself. There might be alarms and automated defense drones, so those escorts may well be called on to earn their keep. The Initiative can't give any information about which building will house the AI's mainframe, that information was long since lost to history. All they can do is send out enough people to hope that one of them manages to find it.

And remember — as soon as the UE troops withdraw, there will only be minutes until the bomb drops. Everyone would do well to work fast.

[ This is all still super weird for her. Sayaka stares awkwardly for a moment, before walking over to the kids... who immediately begin tugging at her cape. ]

W, woah! [ ... Okay, she was going to give them piggyback rides, but this is fine too. Taken by surprise, she ends up falling on the floor, looking a little dazed at the whole thing. ]

[Kanaya, moving too quickly (being inspired by Twilight is fun), helps Sayaka stand back up by the shoulders.]

So what do children of your species find amusing? I doubt it would be appropriate to show them my chainsaw.

[ wwwobbling a bit but she's mostly steady ]

I dunno. If you aren't hurting anyone with it, they'd probably think it's cool. [ or maybe that's just you Sayaka ]

Really? Excellent. I know it should make an impressive display.

Stand back, everyone! [Gesturing with her arms how far away they should go.]

[ The kids might be moving, but all Sayaka sees is a tube of lipstick. She's just sort of standing there with an ??? expression. ]

Uh... [ Okay she doesn't want to be rude here... taking a single step back. ]

[Okay, once she's asserted her authority, she extends her arms to hold out her lips--]

[OK back to lipstick! No more reaching. But now in her other hand is eyeshadow.]

Well... okay. [ still kinda confused though, tbh. ] But isn't it a little weird to transform weapons into makeup? That's like something out of an anime!

[ a magical girl anime actually KANAYA ARE YOU SURE YOU'RE NOT ONE?? ]

[Idly doing shotgun to eyeshadow to shotgun repeatedly, but she's facing Sayaka.]

[Don't give her the opportunity, Sayaka. Her eye twitches as she turns bitter, holding her weapon in its shotgun state for a moment.]

Yeah. It kind of was. [Trying to soften now.] You're intelligent to realize that. Like the Initiative; my lipstick was from home, but they had this gun in the armory for me. [Eyeshadow. Shotgun. Eyeshadow.]

[ She is so not attentive enough to notice subtle changes in expression. Her attention is torn between watching the eyeshadow/shotgun hybrid and the kids now pulling at her cape again. ]

Ah, yeah. People keep talking about getting weapons... [ Why didn't she get one!! Randomly waking up in a strange bed has certain disadvantages. ] I mean, I don't really need one, but it's weird that they'd skip some people.

[ look maybe other people would have noticed they do have one by now but she's dumb ]

I think it depends on the Transport. Especially in these memory alteration cases what weapon one has can be difficult to determine. One of my friends, [very subtle conflicted change in expression, Sayaka has no chance of noticing this] he used to use a rifle and then was given a wand, but he couldn't remember that he'd learned to wield a wand, and so he only complained about losing his rifle.

[She puts her makeup away and then quietly begins to steer one kid away from Sayaka's cape with hands on shoulders.]

just give her like two weeks to stop sitting in her room avoiding everyone oops

I think this mission is supposed to help fix things. Some were restored to themselves just by our passage through time. Lelouch, for instance, he was... [human years...] Ten, before he left, but now he was even able to go as one of the technologists.
