Coffee, Donuts, and Lots and Lots of Teasing. :3
Date & Time: March 6th, the afternoon
Location: Somewhere in the cityMY, "the city", and ending up at a coffee shop most likely!
Characters: Lucy Heartfilia, Natsu Dragneel, Blaine Thorps
Summary: What happens when two mages encounter a troll who found it way too fun to tease them? ... a helluva lot more teasing, that's what.
Warnings: Probably none!
Morning training was always brutal on poor Lucy's body, especially considering it was Erza who was putting them through those drills. But it would be worth it in the end, even if she felt like she couldn't move afterwards. So immediately after training she'd informed her friends she was going back to her unit to have a shower. After that was done, she then decided to head outside again for a walk and possibly get a coffee and donut from a shop nearby. She'd meet up with Natsu again later (or sooner than she thinks), but for the meanwhile, coffee and donut was on the agenda. Also meeting certain trolls that teased her the other day, but shh, she didn't know she was going to run into Blaine yet.

She had always been confident in her own looks, in spite of her failed seductions during Natsu's plans, but hearing Natsu of all people come right out and say something like that. "N.. Natsu..."
And then Blaine - oh Blaine, no. You really shouldn't say things like that - even if Natsu's words and now his were making her blush kinda a lot. But her attention was mostly on Natsu- - she wasn't sure what to expect now.

"Try playing around with Lucy and I'll turn you into a pile of ash small enough to fit in that damn cup"
no subject
"This isn't a topic I play around with." Much. "If you don't want to be her boyfriend, why can't I?"
no subject
She started forward, moving closer towards her friend anxiously, raising a hand to put it on his shoulder as a means of calming him, only for her hand to freeze at Blaine's words. Oh god. No way did he say that. Not to Natsu. "Blaine ..." She glanced between him and Natsu, but - she knew Natsu too well. He was furious and if something wasn't done -
She quickly moved to put herself between Blaine and Natsu, reaching out to grab hold of Natsu's hands, but she was looking at Blaine first. "Blaine, stop ... Y-You... You're making him angry." Don't wake the draaagooon.
And after a moment, she turned to look towards Natsu, to gauge his temper, ready to hug him into submission if need be.

"I could list a few but I'll stick with two. One: I don't like you. I really don't like you." That was probably the bare boned jealousy right there.
"2: You're not from our world, so if she goes back or you go back you'll never meet again. And I will be damned if I'll let Lucy suffer that kind of loss again!" And right on cue Lucy will see a flickering flame burst from around his neck. Seems he's done talking.
no subject
He didn't know what that 'again' meant, but he was sure asking wasn't going to enlighten him. Well, he might catch on fire, but that wasn't the enlightenment he was looking for. "That's not the anger of just a friend."
Okay, he had to say at least one thing.
no subject
THe important thing here, is when she noticed that slight burst of flickering flame. CRAP. Immediately she lunged forward and wrapped both arms around the dragon slayer who - when she thought about it - could have easily broken free, pushed her asided and then burned Blaine to ash laughably easily if he wanted to. But her hope was that the hug would calm him down enough to jar him back to his senses. "Natsu... no ..."
It's not even said very loudly, but pleading and anxious and Blaine stop SAYING things. She glanced behind herself towards the blonde man, distressed by that statement because.... it was all wrong. They were just best friends. Everyone misunderstood their bond as something else. "Blaine, you have it all wrong --" She murmured as quietly as she pleaded to Natsu, though she turned away again, fairly clinging to her friend, closing her eyes and holding fast to that belief.
He had it all wrong, ... didn't he?
no subject
Still his words did ring a bell in him. His glare intensified for a moment but in the end he relented to Lucy's pleas.
"I warned you. Ignore it and you burn." Going to brush off your statement at least on the outside but the flicker of uncertainty in his voice and the mild conflict in his eyes most likely showed that yes he had registered that message.
no subject
He didn't let those thoughts show on his face and just lifted his hands in surrender. "Alright. I apologize. Just stop making the owner sweat. I'd like to be able to come back to this place."
The guy really was looking worried and scared, what with the people catching on fire and suddenly being in a sauna. Blaine didn't know how Lucy would just latch on to him without burning up, but he wasn't interested in getting into a physical fight.
no subject
She also didn't let go of Natsu for even a second, worried that if she loosened her grip and Blaine said something to set Natsu off again, he'd try lunging for the other man. Really Lucy, you honestly were being silly - why second guess now just because someone else didn't understand that level of closeness you had with your best friend? .... just best friend, remember. Yeah.
She couldn't see Natsu's face as he gave BLaine that ultimatum, and she was worrying too much over potential violence to hear any uncertainty in his voice, luckily. After a second, she lifted her head, breathing a silent sigh of relief when that flicker started to dim. Good, good! Calm down, Natsu, good dragon. Heck, if she hadn't been a celestial mage maybe she should have gone into the dragon taming profession.
Wait, no.
Lucy glanced over her shoulder to Blaine, somewhat apologetically because this was partially HIS fault too. "Sorry about this - I think we should probably go." She wasn't about to leave Natsu in this state by himself. "I'll see you later, okay Blaine?" Or ... well over the network. Just don't bring up dating or boyfriends around her if Natsu was nearby and you'll be fine.
no subject
"Hmph. I'm sure they won't mind having you ALONE." Natsu growled rebelliously but Lucy's influence had already subdued him quite a bit. Best friend or more, all he knew is he didn't want to lose Lucy in more ways than one. Natsu's fists unclenched but like she decided, he wanted to get away from Blaine. The funniest part of this whole mess was that he wasn't even upset about the implications between himself and Lucy. More about the fact that Blaine might be serious in pursuing her. Unfortunately no one wished to explain that this was jealousy. And Lucy was too in denial and frazzled to take up that role.
no subject
"I'll see you later. Have a good day," he said, just as pleasant as could be.
no subject
Lucy would almost have asked Natsu if he was jealous, but she would have thought of it as a form of jealousy that he didn't want to share his friends. Which was ridiculous because he didn't have any problem with her hanging out with her other friends. Even if she was curious - but the entire situation was too frazzling to even think about.
"Natsu..." Stop that, god, what's gotten into you. Of course she missed Blaine's reaction to Natsu, as relaxed her grip around her friend's waist enough to free an arm to wave at Blaine. "Come on, let's go." You're worrying her, damnit. But she keeps an arm around him to tug him towards the door and out to the street. Some fresh air will help, right? Right!

try that most of themThe rest of the friends were family, Fairy Tail, those he grew up and fought alongside with. Naturally he'd trust them. But Natsu was not one to let go of things important to him. And as he concluded after talking with Erza before the vampire mess, Lucy was very important to him. The most important in some ways.
"Sorry," He muttered once they were out of the shop. Though to be fair she didn't look half as upset as he'd expect her to be given the show he just put on and the circumstances of it.
no subject
Startling at the apology, Lucy glanced up, expression still a little troubled. Any of the upset she had at the situation had really been pushed to the side in favor of worrying about her friend. "... it's okay." She murmured quietly, leading Natsu back the way to the apartments. "...are you all right?"
no subject
"Yea I guess. I just didn't like what he had to say." For a mix of reasons so Lucy was free to choose her own to be honest. "Should've known he's trouble the moment you mentioned he was the guy who talked to us over the Tablet."
no subject
"Don't give it another thought, Natsu. People like that don't understand the way it is with us." ... sometimes Lucy didn't understand how it was with them lately. "They're going to misunderstand and misinterpret things." She glanced away sheepishly. "He didn't seem so bad when I was talking to him earlier today." Before you showed up. "Until he mentioned -" Uh - well. Dating. But that is not a subject she's going to bring up with Natsu.
"Never mind."
no subject
"He's not the type to listen whatever you say though. Still think I should've decked him one time at least. That usually works for people who don't get the point the nice way."
no subject
"Hitting him would have caused even more of a problem though. It's bad enough that tabloid reporter is trying to pull bad publicity on us and Fairy Tail, who knows what she would say about you if you hit Blaine."
And if you don't care about that, she did, damnit. Think of your reputation! Think of what Erza would do to you if you had given in to your urge to pop him one. Also, on reaching the apartments, she pulled the door open with a sigh.
no subject
The mention of the reporter did bring up a frustratingly valid point. Right. Her. Watching like a hawk for more juicy lies to spread. But stilllll~
"I guess there is that too yea." He admitted with a sigh before his mind decided to pick up on one of her earlier comments.
"What did you mean when you said he looked like an okay person before I showed up?"
no subject
"Exactly what I said. He was a nice looking guy, and he seemed nice enough. We were talking about our training at the facility...actually, he had said he might be interested in sparring against you - but -" now she wouldn't be so sure.
"Aw - I forgot, he treated me to that breakfast, and I meant to pay him back." Damn.
no subject
"Oh did he?" Natsu. Stop. Wipe the smirk that says you can't wait to get to hit the guy and not be in trouble for it.
Treated to breakfast? Pay him back? Simple sentences on their own but right now they were like logs to a fire he couldn't name even as it brewed inside him.
no subject
"What's with that look?" Because she suddenly was feeling badly for Blaine, the next time he ran into Natsu.
