Let's be war buddies...

Date & Time: 18th, beginning at 2100 hours, through to the 20th.
Location: All around Exsilium.
Characters: Everyone!
Summary: The United Earth decides Exsilium had obviously not learned its lesson back in October, and does another round of humble-making bombing for those impertinent exiles. OOC info can be found here.
Warnings: Violence, death, general gloom and doom.

The warning had gone out approximately two hours before the bombing began, broadcast to any available receptor on the island: UE aggressions incoming, bombs expected; please proceed to Catacombs immediately. It repeats over and over, right up until the first bomb, aimed at the Hold itself, silences the signal.

The air is thick with smoke and worse. Every one to two hours another bomb shakes the island. Buildings crumble and shatter, but the focus is on the Hold and the native hospital. Initiative employees, some sick as anyone else, are steadfast in their escorting natives and transports alike into the underground catacombs. For two days the bombs continue ceaselessly, dropped by their cloaked and invisible carriers overhead.

The United Earth is nothing if not thorough.

So cold!

[Though he seems hardly hurt by the dismissal, just being melodramatic. And don't lie to yourself Yuri, you need more crazy people like Raven in your life and you know it]

Sometimes...first time I've been through a bombing though. [he sighs and shakes his head] It's a wonder they just don't blow up the whole city already.

[He'd swear he was talking to the Old Man if it weren't for the fact that this guy looked about the same age as him. But it amuses him to no extent.

As for bombings, he's seen shit blow up, but not quite like this before. It kind of brings back some memories, ones he'd rather stash away even if they're still kind of fresh...]

Because they want to leave an impression. Seeing everything flattened means we can build anew. Seeing a city in ruins only leaves a sense of destruction.

[Wow Yuri, you kind of sound smart there...]

[Good old archetypes!]

[And he considers that point, wow Yuri you do sound smart you can't be a tales protagonist!!]

Hm...better to break our spirits than our bones, huh? I guess I could see the twisted logic there.

Bones heal pretty quickly, at least you can splint them up and call it good.

[He can't help but let out some distorted chuckle. He... may have done that a few times given the little trouble maker he was.]

But can't say a spirit heals so easily. Not everyone has that kind of resilience.

Heh heh...from that chuckle I'm guessing you didn't learn that from medical school, huh?

[That that he cares that much. Everyone's got a history here, right?]

Well they're doing a pretty fantastic job of it. The transports might be able to come and go, but this is gonna be hard on the natives.

One or two broken bones teaches you how to patch yourself up pretty quickly, yeah.

[Roughhousing, chasing away thieves, chasing away the knights collecting taxes, kicking said knights in the river when collecting taxes -- stuff like that.]

Don't think the natives will think too kindly of us after this.

Ahhh.

[Yeah, not gonna question it. Sometimes it's better not to know!]

You think so? Well, I guess we're easier to blame than the UE...
