( open ) our ag wing's back and you're gonna be in trouble (hey now! hey now! our ag wing's back)

Date & Time: October 31st, 3313, 11:59PM - November 3rd, 3313, ????
Location: Agriculture Wing, Moon Base to start. Cafeteria, warehouse, docking bay, VR rooms, Transport Pad, or Observatory later on.
Characters: Any & all!
Summary: Space Zombies are allowed out of the Agriculture Wing, slowly revving up their systems to try and infect and absorb as many of the Transports (or 12 Initiative Members) as possible.
Warnings: Log will be locked for potentially graphic violence. Please warn in threads should the violence or gore become graphic.
Notes: Specify a date and location in your top comment. You may specify multiple dates/locations. Specify a time if you wish as well.

Everything is a success at first, from the cool rush of air out of the Agriculture Wing once the doors are fully unlocked, to the heady sense of accomplishment for finally moving forward on something good for the long-term usability of the Moon Base. It's intended to remain a resource, after all, but not be a permanent home. Fraying tempers and the sense of cabin fever descending on Transports continues to showcase how important it is to get back down on Earth to regain some breathing room.

There's little enough dust between all the unmoving, unlit structures, many even supporting the barest dried husks of what once grew there. Upon the lightest touch, they disintegrate, turning into a dust that falls to the ground. The silent rows will be reclaimed and turned into functioning units, based on Transport efforts, and Transport time invested in the project.

There's just one problem. Something stirs in the reclaimed wing, among tangles of hosing and wiring. Skitterings and movements that make no sense for a long abandoned Moon Base. The further in Transports go, relying on magic or technology to generate light past the bare minimum maintained by the base, the more disturbing sights they may run into.

Of course, the most disturbing of all might be lying just around the far corner -- but don't worry, it's only a flesh wound. Try not to get surprised in the machinery, caught suffering from not looking up or caught making out with anything unsavory this holiday season, Transports. We need all of you to stay alive!

We can't bring you back right now!

[After the zombie slaughter, no doubt the last thing Ellie wants to see is a werewolf. Bloodsnap has since learned better than to lurk around in her feline form, but with her inability to return to something a little more...human, she's stuck walking around huge and furry. At this point, she wasn't sure which form scared people more -- the wolf or the panther. A philosophical question for another day, perhaps.

The Gilnean appears to be letting her nose guide her, and will easily be spotted by her sniffing even before her shadow comes into view around the corner. The adrenaline has been running thick the past view days, and she's not taking any chances when she smells something human. Whatever it is, its not moving, but it is speaking. Did that mean she was safe?

Her voice comes out as a nervous growl and she stops short of coming into view.]

Are you friendly over there?
vaccination: (either.)

[Ellie is sorely considering taking off her shoe to inspect the damage when she hears that voice. It sends a chill down her spine, but as far as she knew, those things out there couldn't talk.]

Uh, yeah. Are you?
bloodsnap: (♟and cholera;)

[personal profile] bloodsnap 2013-11-01 03:10 am (UTC)(link)
Most days, yes.

[The worgen moves around the corner in the most nonthreatening way possible, ears pinned and her entire body hunkered down with her hands clasped to hide her claws.

She lifts her head just enough to survey Ellie. There's a nice respectable distance between them.]

Are you hurt?
vaccination: (floor.)

[Holy shit. Ellie stumbles back a step, hissing immediately as weight presses onto her ankle. There's the answer to that question.]

Holy shit. You're one of those werewolves people were talking about, huh?
bloodsnap: (♟i changed the locks;)

[personal profile] bloodsnap 2013-11-01 03:25 am (UTC)(link)
[She steps back in response, jaw tightening a bit.]

You might say that. I like to think I am a bit more civilized than the pups causing that ruckus from when we first arrived.

[There's hesitation on her end. She had managed to keep her roots under wraps, but with the undead creatures shambling about...could she really leave this girl injured in good conscious?]

...I may be able to help.

[She nods toward her injured ankle.]
vaccination: (lead.)

Not really their fault since we're on the fucking moon, but I'm not complaining about civility.

[At least talking animals and fantasy creatures don't freak her out too much anymore. Ellie takes a breath.]

Yeah?
bloodsnap: (♟each beast gets reverted;)

No promises, love. I haven't done this in a while.

[A pause in her words as she starts to approach.]

Well, I can at least promise I won't make it worse.
vaccination: (favors.)

[Ellie braces herself against the wall, staying where she is.]

Real comforting.
bloodsnap: (♟and cholera;)

It doesn't seem to be a strong point of mine, no.

[She kneels down on the floor anyway to get a better look at Ellie's ankle, tilting her head and sniffing. She could soothe the pain, at least. Broken bones would be impossible to fix on the moon's surface with no natural energy to pull from.

Bloodsnap reaches out, first giving the other girl a chance to stop her in case she was still afraid, before resting her clawed hand over her ankle. Green light momentarily envelopes it, restoring energy and mending minor tears in skin and tendons.

Its a short, quick spell.]

Never was much of a healer, but I have a few tricks up me sleeve.
vaccination: (approach.)

[This is like a nightmare, and Ellie doesn't quite realize that she's more nervous about this werewolf than the not-infected they had been dealing with. Monsters like that were predictable. Still, Ellie doesn't move.]

Jesus... [Magic, of course. She doesn't like it. The receding pain, however, makes her want to reconsider.]

What did you do? It... feels better.
bloodsnap: (♟if it doesn't drive you to the bottle)

[personal profile] bloodsnap 2013-11-01 04:58 am (UTC)(link)
Just a little somethin' I learned when I was about your age.

[She pulls her hand away. Thankfully, she had plenty of her own energy to spare. Druidism required balance in life to work -- normally on the moon, it would be impossible.]

I'd still watch yourself, love. I can't promise I did much more than bandage the problem.

[She glances down the hallway behind her.]

Might be best to head back where its safe, don't you think?
vaccination: (kids.)

[Everyone came from worlds with such cool stuff. All she had were infected. Ellie sighs, glancing towards the housing area. She could use a shower and a nap, but she doubts rest will come easily as long as there was fighting going on in the base.]

Thanks. I just might.

[Gingerly, she puts weight on the ankle. So far, so good.]

They could probably use you in the clinic.
