( open ) our ag wing's back and you're gonna be in trouble (hey now! hey now! our ag wing's back)
Date & Time: October 31st, 3313, 11:59PM - November 3rd, 3313, ????
Location: Agriculture Wing, Moon Base to start. Cafeteria, warehouse, docking bay, VR rooms, Transport Pad, or Observatory later on.
Characters: Any & all!
Summary: Space Zombies are allowed out of the Agriculture Wing, slowly revving up their systems to try and infect and absorb as many of the Transports (or 12 Initiative Members) as possible.
Warnings: Log will be locked for potentially graphic violence. Please warn in threads should the violence or gore become graphic.
Notes: Specify a date and location in your top comment. You may specify multiple dates/locations. Specify a time if you wish as well.
Everything is a success at first, from the cool rush of air out of the Agriculture Wing once the doors are fully unlocked, to the heady sense of accomplishment for finally moving forward on something good for the long-term usability of the Moon Base. It's intended to remain a resource, after all, but not be a permanent home. Fraying tempers and the sense of cabin fever descending on Transports continues to showcase how important it is to get back down on Earth to regain some breathing room.
There's little enough dust between all the unmoving, unlit structures, many even supporting the barest dried husks of what once grew there. Upon the lightest touch, they disintegrate, turning into a dust that falls to the ground. The silent rows will be reclaimed and turned into functioning units, based on Transport efforts, and Transport time invested in the project.
There's just one problem. Something stirs in the reclaimed wing, among tangles of hosing and wiring. Skitterings and movements that make no sense for a long abandoned Moon Base. The further in Transports go, relying on magic or technology to generate light past the bare minimum maintained by the base, the more disturbing sights they may run into.
Of course, the most disturbing of all might be lying just around the far corner -- but don't worry, it's only a flesh wound. Try not to get surprised in the machinery, caught suffering from not looking up or caught making out with anything unsavory this holiday season, Transports. We need all of you to stay alive!
We can't bring you back right now!

[It doesn't matter. Helena's not saving her, so much as attacking the creature. She takes it by surprise, coming up behind it and stabbing it in the lower back, where the spine might be. She drags her knife up, slicing it open and its limbs start to flail around in the process.]

( It occurs to Rodimus, belatedly, that the holoform doesn't actually come with any weapons. Didn't Ultra Magnus say Whirl's came with twin machine guns... so not impossible, and Rodimus was willing to bet Drift's came with swords. Completely unfair, and Rodimus would take it up with Brainstorm whenever she got back.
But still, there's an emphatic hand gesture towards the thing to impress how much that was completely and totally Rodimus' slightly sparkeater like thing to dispatch. )

[Helena steals a glance at the other woman, but her expression is unimpressed.] There are no claims here.
[The creature struggles against her, and it manages to shove her away, but she lunges again, stabbing and sawing until the limb is dangling enough that she can tear it off with her own hands. She throws it behind her, then leaps back at it once more, stabbing it through the gut and opening a whole to spill some guts.]
no subject
( This is a disaster. But Rodimus is pretty sure that most organics should be dead right about now, what with the missing limbs and -- Primus, all the internal stuff spilling out into the air. )
It's not dead?
no subject
[Taking care to avoid stepping in the guts on the floor, Helena slams what's left of it up against the wall, then rushes forward to slit its throat. And then she repeats the gesture, making the cut deeper, the body twitching in aftershock.] The beasts do not die as most creatures of nature do.
no subject
( Seriously. But the organic is kind of getting out of hand, and Rodimus puts one hand on Helena's shoulder to pull her away from whatever it is. )
Look, coming from someone who doesn't die easy naturally and Megatron gave it a good shot - I'm pretty sure even we'd be on our way out. So any sort of fleshling?
( Gonna go with really, really super dead. )
no subject
[It's about then where she feels the hand on her shoulder, and Helena jerks away, whirling to face the other woman with a wide-eyed glare.]
It is still moving. [Her voice goes up an octave in hostility, mostly from being touched.] I do not know this fleshling word. Move away.
[She needs to take off the other arm, ok. She stomps on said arm at the elbow, and the movement would break the bone in normal humans.]
no subject
( LITTLE VICTORIES. Rodimus doesn't move away but does drop her hand. There's that much common sense in that head somewhere. )
Uh, organics? Non-synthetic lifeforms? ( GIVING UP WITH THAT TRAIN OF THOUGHT. ) Primus, what's wrong with it?
( The necromorph thing, not that Rodimus knows it's called that but shhhhhhh. )
no subject
[Her focus is still primarily on the creature though, and she drops down, pinning it to the ground, where she stabs into the remaining arm's shoulder, then keeps wriggling around and half-sawing. She wants to remove the other arm, what of it??] They are demons. Unnatural, unholy beasts. They do not die so easily.
no subject
( What with the hacking and slashing and the overkill. Rodimus feels inexplicably helpless, and considers canceling the holoform in order to actually bring some real firepower in. Why couldn't this come with guns like Whirl's? She'd definitely going to have to mention that to Brainstorm. )
Wait, hang on. What qualifies as 'unnatural' in your book?
( ASKING FOR A FRIEND. )
no subject
Unnatural is unnatural. [Duh.]
[And then she stabs it again in the throat, making the wound deeper, killing it at last. After a moment, she climbs to her feet calmly, without seeming all that bothered by the gut and blood stains on her clothes. For good measure, she kicks the corpse, rolling it over.]
no subject
( Rodimus technically doesn't need to be careful about stepping into any of the-- uh. Innards. Oh Primus.
Can holoforms actually get sick? She doesn't know, she doesn't want to find out, but now that Helena's done Rodimus is pretty sure something is churning in her stomach and the expression displayed is definitely one that usually comes right before vomiting. )
no subject
If you are going to vomit, please do not do it on me. [That's cute, coming from the woman covered in zombie guts.]
no subject
( Rodimus be nice. )
I'm not going to throw up. ( STRAIGHTENING UP NOW, GOTTA GET THAT GAME FACE ON. ) I don't think I can.
no subject
[But Helena's eyes roll over the other woman carefully and cautiously, maybe almost twitching with amusement when she straightens.] If you have not eaten anything, it can still just be acidic.
no subject
( Drag that negative out more, Rodimus. )
no subject
no subject
( Another thing drops from the ceiling right onto Rodimus. Or would have, if there wasn't a split second where Rodimus just vanished, reappearing a second later somewhere off to the side. )
Ha! Take that, you ugly thing-- ( Alright, fine. Rodimus saw how this was going to go. Lucky the strength involved with a holoform was however much you wanted it to be, which is why when Rodimus decides to give the thing a swift kick that sends it flying backwards towards Helena. ) Not so defenseless now, huh?
no subject
[Helena attacks it, because - well, it needs to die. She stabs it right in the hollow of its throat, where it gags and coughs up the equivalent of blood. She drags the knife straight up, cutting into the skin all the way up into its chin.]
[Probably the quickest she's ever killed one tbh.]
How is that possible?
no subject
Whoops. )
Technology?
( NOT A LIE. )
no subject
[Believing someone can travel that quickly through the use of technology isn't as weird or worthy of a knee-jerk unnatural response as it could have been in the past.]
[It still makes her a little uncomfortable, but she's getting used to science.]
From this place?
no subject
( And that just makes Rodimus almost homesick. Almost, because he doesn't really want to be back on Cybertron but there's still the idea of home. That's why they were trying to find the Knights of Cybertron anyway, to make Cybertron like it was supposed to be. )
no subject
[Helena doesn't frequent the Observatory much, to be honest.]
Too many people from space. [She mutters it, mostly to herself.]
no subject
( Seriously. Why did humans always go around thinking that? )
