Location: Agriculture Wing, Moon Base to start. Cafeteria, warehouse, docking bay, VR rooms, Transport Pad, or Observatory later on.

Summary: Space Zombies are allowed out of the Agriculture Wing, slowly revving up their systems to try and infect and absorb as many of the Transports (or 12 Initiative Members) as possible.

Everything is a success at first, from the cool rush of air out of the Agriculture Wing once the doors are fully unlocked, to the heady sense of accomplishment for finally moving forward on something good for the long-term usability of the Moon Base. It's intended to remain a resource, after all, but not be a permanent home. Fraying tempers and the sense of cabin fever descending on Transports continues to showcase how important it is to get back down on Earth to regain some breathing room.

There's little enough dust between all the unmoving, unlit structures, many even supporting the barest dried husks of what once grew there. Upon the lightest touch, they disintegrate, turning into a dust that falls to the ground. The silent rows will be reclaimed and turned into functioning units, based on Transport efforts, and Transport time invested in the project.

There's just one problem. Something stirs in the reclaimed wing, among tangles of hosing and wiring. Skitterings and movements that make no sense for a long abandoned Moon Base. The further in Transports go, relying on magic or technology to generate light past the bare minimum maintained by the base, the more disturbing sights they may run into.

Of course, the most disturbing of all might be lying just around the far corner -- but don't worry, it's only a flesh wound. Try not to get surprised in the machinery, caught suffering from not looking up or caught making out with anything unsavory this holiday season, Transports. We need all of you to stay alive!

[Caspian's relieved to see that Fili doesn't seem to be feeling too many ill effects. He's still wary of encountering any more of the creatures, but is glad to see they seem to have left them behind for now, and continues talking, in a confiding tone.]

Before I arrived here from my world, I was about to leave on a sea voyage. I was hoping to have some adventures. But these were not the kind I had in mind.

[Kili smiles slightly when his companion begins to speak.]

I was midway through my own voyage. I understand completely.

[Caspian pauses to peer around each corner before proceeding further. They've been safe so far, but no need to take chances.]

What was your voyage like?

[kilimanjaro]

[Kili stays close, keeping a cautious eye out. He's been jumped by these things before, after all.]

It was...wonderful and terrible. So far, anyway. It's been brilliant and terrifying and I've never been more afraid in my life.

[He laughs and shakes his head.] But I love it.

[Caspian can't help a smile at that description.]

An adventures then. Terrifying and wonderful and the worst and best, all at once.

[kilimanjaro]

Exactly. [He grins right back.] It's amazing, and I've learned so much, but I'm starting to wish for home.

[Is it odd to get to know people in the middle of a zombie battle? Caspian can't help himself, he's curious, okay.]

Do you have family waiting at home? Or a girl?

[Maybe that's wishful thinking on his part, since he has neither waiting for him.]

[Kili doesn't mind it. It's not like they have anything better to do.]

My mother is still at home, but there's...no girls. [He blushes slightly at that.] And my brother and my uncle and most of my cousins are journeying. My brother is here with me, but none of the others yet.

[Caspian makes a face as they walk through what was clearly a battle, littered with the creatures body parts. Ew, what was that he just stepped on? He doesn't want to look down.]

Ah, that sounds fine, to journey with your family. Perhaps you'll meet some girls on the trip. [He can't help teasing a little, when he sees the blush.] I know my subjects want me to meet one on mine.

I met your brother the other day. Baking cookies.

[kilimanjaro]

[Kili laughs.] Perhaps. I have no interest in getting married, though. [Messing around? Sure! But not marriage.

His interest is peaked at that and he gives him a small smile.]

Did you?

[Caspian laughs too.] My entire country has more interest in my being married than I do, I must admit. I can't blame them - a king needs an heir, and they need that stability. Still. It's nice not to be reminded of it every minute.

[He nods.]

Yes, cookie baking brought so many people. [A pause while he considers the cookies.] I wonder if the new arrivals got them, with all this going on.

[kilimanjaro]

[Kili nods.] My brother is the one who will be king someday, so the responsibility will never be mine, gladly.

[There's another nod, then a mirthless laugh.] I'd be surprised if we have any new arrivals left after all this.

[ready_to_bloom]

[Caspian smiles ruefully.] They say princes have all the fun.

[He frowns, thinking of it.]What a terrible thing to arrive to. [Not that arrival is easy at any time, but this is particularly bad.]

[kilimanjaro]

I don't know if that's entirely true. [Kili smiles slightly at that, shrugging. His wound twinges and he presses a hand to it almost distractedly.]

It really would be, aye.

[ready_to_bloom]

No? Probably not. Just a saying I always heard. [Rueful grin] It never did apply to me, as I was the only prince.

[Notices Kili touching his wound.] All right? We're almost to the clinic.

[kilimanjaro]

It's not true. I still have to learn everything to help Fili.

[He gives him a tight smile and nods.] Trust me, I've had much worse.

It's good to have a brother then.

[Nods at this, will take him at his word.]

It is. [Kili smiles to himself.] I'm his most loyal subject and he's my stronger supporter.
