Location: Agriculture Wing, Moon Base to start. Cafeteria, warehouse, docking bay, VR rooms, Transport Pad, or Observatory later on.

Summary: Space Zombies are allowed out of the Agriculture Wing, slowly revving up their systems to try and infect and absorb as many of the Transports (or 12 Initiative Members) as possible.
Warnings: Log will be locked for potentially graphic violence. Please warn in threads should the violence or gore become graphic.

Everything is a success at first, from the cool rush of air out of the Agriculture Wing once the doors are fully unlocked, to the heady sense of accomplishment for finally moving forward on something good for the long-term usability of the Moon Base. It's intended to remain a resource, after all, but not be a permanent home. Fraying tempers and the sense of cabin fever descending on Transports continues to showcase how important it is to get back down on Earth to regain some breathing room.

There's little enough dust between all the unmoving, unlit structures, many even supporting the barest dried husks of what once grew there. Upon the lightest touch, they disintegrate, turning into a dust that falls to the ground. The silent rows will be reclaimed and turned into functioning units, based on Transport efforts, and Transport time invested in the project.

There's just one problem. Something stirs in the reclaimed wing, among tangles of hosing and wiring. Skitterings and movements that make no sense for a long abandoned Moon Base. The further in Transports go, relying on magic or technology to generate light past the bare minimum maintained by the base, the more disturbing sights they may run into.

Of course, the most disturbing of all might be lying just around the far corner -- but don't worry, it's only a flesh wound. Try not to get surprised in the machinery, caught suffering from not looking up or caught making out with anything unsavory this holiday season, Transports. We need all of you to stay alive!

[As much as the General had looked like he knew what he was doing, Miranda couldn't help but have wondered if they were going around in circles.]

She hesitates, both out of apprehension and a nagging sense of...]

Ah! What about everyone else? Allen, and, and Lenalee! And Lavi!

[ One name sticks out from the three, and Cross looks at Miranda for a moment before keeping an eye on the (currently quiet...too quiet...) hallway. ]

Lavi left about a week ago. Lenalee and my Idiot Apprentice should be able to handle themselves.

[timehalt]

Ah, yes, I suppose you're right [ They've always been much more capable than her, ] but--shouldn't we--

[Whoa--wait!]

Eh? Gone? When? Why?

[aequivoci]

[ /kanyeshrug ]

I suppose the Initiative found him useless.

[timehalt]

But I don't understand! He's hardly that!

[At least not as much as her. If anyone should have been sent home...]

I don't call the shots, Miranda. There is no point in dwelling on it; we have more pressing matters to focus on instead of one of our own being gone.

[timehalt]

I know, but...

[ She hasn't seen him in so long, and at least when he was here she knew he was safe. Now it's all unknown again. ]

[aequivoci]

We roll with the punches like we always do. Now, let's not wander back into zombie territory.

[timehalt]

I understand. Will you look for Allen and Lenalee?

[aequivoci]

They should be able to handle zombies, especially my idiot apprentice, but knowing him he's holding back.

[timehalt]

Oh, yes, of course, but I don't want them to be alone. I know--I know I'm not very helpful in a fight, but I can't help but want them to be safe.

[aequivoci]

I know, but they'll have to learn to adapt to fighting solo at some point.

[timehalt]

[ Cross, if you're trying to reassure her you might as well just say they're dead. ]

But--but they shouldn't be fighting alone if they're not! We should help each other whenever we can!

[ He is both being reassuring yet not. ]

Then they have no one to blame but themselves, especially my idiot. If I see them I'll let you know. [ He won't. ]

[ She wants to trust Cross, really, she does! But he's kind of been a deadbeat dad for the entirety of her knowing his existence. How can she know he won't just vanish again? ]

I...I think I should look for them, too.

[aequivoci]

God, he wishes he could smoke in this godforsaken place. Just one puff... Instead, he puts on a nonchalant air and shrugs. ]

Be my guest, Miranda. If you end up becoming infected by these stupid things, well, don't say I didn't give you a helping hand before.

[timehalt]

[ Whoa, whoa, whoa, back the hell up. Infected? With what? ]

What do you mean?

[aequivoci]

If you receive any sort of injury from those things, even the tiniest cut, chances are you'll become infected with whatever they have. I'm not sure how we'd be able to save you, and the resurrection system is still out, so we'd just have to kill you.

[timehalt]

[ It's like he wants her to have a heart attack, from anxiety and stress if not sheer panic. ]

But--but that's--but Lenalee and Allen are out there! Do they know?

[aequivoci]

[ He pretty much does. ]

Don't know, but at least one of them has common sense. I'm not sure about the other.

[ No clarification needed. ]

Then--then we have to go find them! Even if they've been hurt, I can keep them well until we find a cure!
