Location: Agriculture Wing, Moon Base to start. Cafeteria, warehouse, docking bay, VR rooms, Transport Pad, or Observatory later on.

Summary: Space Zombies are allowed out of the Agriculture Wing, slowly revving up their systems to try and infect and absorb as many of the Transports (or 12 Initiative Members) as possible.
Warnings: Log will be locked for potentially graphic violence. Please warn in threads should the violence or gore become graphic.

Everything is a success at first, from the cool rush of air out of the Agriculture Wing once the doors are fully unlocked, to the heady sense of accomplishment for finally moving forward on something good for the long-term usability of the Moon Base. It's intended to remain a resource, after all, but not be a permanent home. Fraying tempers and the sense of cabin fever descending on Transports continues to showcase how important it is to get back down on Earth to regain some breathing room.

There's little enough dust between all the unmoving, unlit structures, many even supporting the barest dried husks of what once grew there. Upon the lightest touch, they disintegrate, turning into a dust that falls to the ground. The silent rows will be reclaimed and turned into functioning units, based on Transport efforts, and Transport time invested in the project.

There's just one problem. Something stirs in the reclaimed wing, among tangles of hosing and wiring. Skitterings and movements that make no sense for a long abandoned Moon Base. The further in Transports go, relying on magic or technology to generate light past the bare minimum maintained by the base, the more disturbing sights they may run into.

Of course, the most disturbing of all might be lying just around the far corner -- but don't worry, it's only a flesh wound. Try not to get surprised in the machinery, caught suffering from not looking up or caught making out with anything unsavory this holiday season, Transports. We need all of you to stay alive!

[Crucible casts a wry grin across to his companion at the comment, the same could be said for any dragon after all. The slightest bit of fatigue crossing his expression from the spell, he had after all already cast a number already that day.]

That should keep them down for now, though we'd best take the opportunity to ensure that they do not rise again, they have proven quite stubborn.

[With a brief look of concentration he focuses his senses before offering a smile.]

We are clear for the moment, how long that shall last I cannot say however.

I do not believe we have had the proper opportunity for introductions, you may call me Crucible.

[Kili can't help but grin back. Honestly, he's surprised by how easy it's been to make friends here, and he really ought to know his roommates better. Particularly since his companion has just saved his life.]

Kili, at your service.

[Kili draws his sword, giving it a few experimental swings before setting to chopping limbs off the creatures.]

[Crucible worked quickly but with an almost casual ease as he severed the limbs of the creatures. Seeming none too bothered by the situation besides the slight fatigue. Turning back to Kili he dipped his head everso slightly.]

Well met, Kili, despite the circumstances.

[Giving a gesture to the corpses about a chuckle.]

You are no stranger to combat, that much is clear, you fought well.

[Kili smiles a little at that, giving him another nod.]

I've been training since I was old enough to hold a sword. My family are warriors.

[And he's royal blood, and therefore expected to be able to hold his own in a fight, but he doesn't say that.

[Crucible smiles in turn to that, something that was much more familiar to those of his own world than others.]

It shows well. I am curious, from what world to you hail?

Thank you, Crucible. [It really is high praise, as far as Kili is concerned, and he swells with pride.]

They call it Middle-Earth.

[Just don't ask him who 'they' is referring to. He doesn't really know.]

[Crucible inclines his head slightly in acknowledgment to his thanks, a confident smile given.]

Middle-Earth, not a world I have heard of before, though I would wager from your skills and preference for sword and bow that your world has a measure in common with my own, the world of Krynn.

Are there many others from your world here?

Krynn? [That sounds really familiar.] I've heard of that place. Um...from Kang.

[Kili shrugs.] There are a few, yes. My brother, for one. He lives in the same room as us.

[Crucible looks across to Kili at the mention of Kang, eyebrows slightly raised.] So you've met Kang then. Indeed, both I and the Governor call Krynn home.

[Inclines his head thoughtfully before offering a smile to that.] It is good to see that you are not alone in that measure.

[kilimanjaro]

[He nods.] When my uncle was here, he and Kang were friends.

[Kili smiles as well, albeit a little sheepish. No doubt Crucible has seen him and his brother sharing a bed when his nightmares got a bit too difficult to deal with.] It is a comfort to have him here.

[Crucible nods thoughtfully to that.] Indeed? That is good to hear then, though I do not believe I had the chance of meeting your uncle.

[He had indeed seen the two sharing a bed, though he thought no less of them for it.] I have no doubt to that, having someone familiar in such a strange situation is something indeed.

[kilimanjaro]

[Kili nods quietly.] I only got to see him for a week or two. But I've got Fili. And I've made friends.

[dragonlordbight]

[Crucible offers a smile to that.] I am glad to hear it, even for one who has lived as long as I, friends and allies are a good thing to have, particularly in a situation such as this.

[kilimanjaro]

[Kili nods quietly.]

You and Kang know each other, right?

[dragonlordbight]

We do.

[He states simply as he casts a glance down the corridor before looking back to Kili as he goes on to explain.]

We are both the Lord Governors of our respective nations, he of Teyr and I of Sanction.

[kilimanjaro]

[Kili nods thoughtfully, glancing around.]

Lord Governors? What does that mean?

[dragonlordbight]

It means that we are the leaders of our respective nations.

Lord Governor is the title we both respectively took on in the leadership of our respective cities and nations.

[He gives a slightly wry look.]

It is not my only title however.

[kilimanjaro]

Oh. [Kili nods in understanding.] So you're like kings?

Other titles?

[Crucible dips his head to Kili's comparison.] Similar in position, indeed, though we do not rule by right of blood.

I have held many over the ages, the other that many of my world know me by in recent years however is Dragonlord.

[kilimanjaro]

[Kili's brow furrows at that last word, and he swallows, unconsciously stepping back a pace.]

Kang...told me there was a dragon here, from his world.

[He's putting things together, shockingly.]

Are...you...?

[Crucible raises an eyebrow slightly when Kili steps back before inclining his head to confirm Kili's assumption.]

Indeed, that is I.

[He draws himself up at that, a clear sense of pride in just who and what he is.]

I am a bronze dragon of Krynn, foremost of the Bronze clan in my time.

You have nothing to fear from me however, Kili.

[Kili's eyes widen, stepping back until he's against the wall. There's just an innate sense of terror as far as dragons are concerned. Before the quest, it was all fun an games, but being out here, and knowing that back on Middle-Earth, there are real dragons, not pretend...that's scary. And Kili is very afraid.]

N-nothing to fear? [He hates the way his voice shakes, but he can't help it.] Thousands of my people have been killed by dragons.

I am sorry for your loss, Kili.

[Crucible's voice softens for that moment, he can understand well Kili's fear, with such experience with dragons. He does not step back or move to leave however but rather draws himself up, speaking evenly and firmly but not without a hint of kindness.

However know this, I am not a dragon of Middle-Earth, I am not one of those responsible for the loss of your people.

I am a bronze dragon of Krynn, a protector, for countless years I have fought against the forces of darkness to protect humans, elves, dwarves and kender alike alongside the many races of Krynn.

[Kili watches him intently and slowly starts to relax. Not completely, of course, but...

Kang would have said something if Crucible was dangerous to Kili. They're sort of friends now. And it's true, he isn't a dragon of Middle-Earth, and..well...]

You did save my life just now.

[He lets out a shaky breath, head falling back against the wall as he closed his eyes briefly.]

You can swear to me that you don't mean anyone harm? Forgive my unease, I just...well.

[Crucible's own posture relaxes the slightest bit once its clear that his words had gotten through to Kili.

At his comment of saving his life, Crucible dipped his head slightly in acknowledgement before drawing himself up once more at Kili's request. When he speaks it is with the clear surety of a Lord Governor, clear that he means every word and does not say them lightly.]

Your unease is understandable given your own experiences.
