Summary: So how about that drinking as a method of coping with being forced to relive bad memories, huh.

[ She hasn't been drinking constantly. But at night, heading to one of the quieter bars, the ones that the other transports don't seem to frequent - well, it's easier. Easier than sleeping, easier than not sleeping, a faster way to forgetfulness.

And that's what she wants. This entire place, this entire thing with the Initiative and the constant fuck-ups - as far as she's concerned, right now it can all just go to hell.

She sees Stark nearly as soon as he comes in the door - he's kind of hard to miss - and sighs and orders another drink for herself. Part of the point of being here was that she wouldn't have to talk to or look at anyone else who knew about that whole utter mess.

It's possible he won't notice her, and at the moment that's what she's hoping for. ]

Just two. Generally I'm good at avoiding them.

That only depends on the ratio. If you've been in four bars tonight then you're not that good at it. If you've been in more than four bars tonight, why didn't you call me?

I meant in the several nights. I haven't been in any fights tonight. [ her Navy soul is drunkenly finding that a little disappointing, judging by the look she's throwing her glass. ] Not yet, at least.

Oh, well then. You're well overdue. You should have one. Good for the... story later. Not with me, I'm not - I've had a lot and a fight already and frankly I think you'd kick my ass right now so, no fighting me, I came up with the idea, you're not allowed to hit me with it. But, yeah. Fight.

[ hey hey wait, just because she finds it disappointing doesn't mean it's a great idea. It's a bad idea, she's good at those - there's a slightly baffled tilt to her head at the end of that sentence. ]

Really? That's your advice? Go get in a bar fight?

Seriously, you and I are both dealing with emotional disruptions by drinking the memories out through our livers and into the commode and you're getting onto me about the advice I'm giving?

They don't actually have a police force, you know.

Which makes it both more fun and more dangerous, on the whole. At the very least, far more interesting.

[ she just really enjoys fighting okay. it's fun (yes, she does on occasion do fun) and the adrenaline's awesome. ]

If a fight did happen to break out, you could handle yourself?

[ As relieved as he might be he also feels mildly insulted. ]

[ Yeah, well. No, it was a little insulting, and she's not sorry. ]

I'll keep that in mind. [ She's not drunk enough yet to actually just go pick a fight, but by the purposeful way she orders another drink she really wouldn't mind if she was. ]

[ Shruuug. ] I don't know, do you? It's a bar, I'm not particularly attached.

I like hitting people. Kind of cathartic, you think?

[ He glances around a little bit and then shrugs. ] It's a bar.

Quite cathartic. [ Tony you are her new favorite person as much as she has favorites, nobody else seems to think it's okay to hit people for stress relief.

She downs her drink, glances around after him. ] I can't think of anything special about it. Perhaps that'll change if they have to redecorate.

[ Well he normally tries to find people who deserve it or something but seriously how can anyone deny that knocking an asshole to the floor is not something that makes you feel better? That's some primal shit right there. ]

I wonder if they have a suggestion box. I for one would like to see more stripper poles.

[ Right? And yet some people think starting fights is always a bad idea, even with people who are kind of being jerks and deserve it. ]

They're really hard to argue with, on the whole. You can call them fireman poles if you want, for the PC aspect, but you're really doing yourself no favors in terms of innuendo.

Fireman pole makes it sound so boring. And that's just wrong, nothing to do with stripper poles should sound boring.

Anything politically affiliated does tend to be pretty boring. [ Also seriously that whole favorite person thing is going both ways ]

How lucky for us that so few things here are politically affiliated. [ totally deadpan. ]
