for raven

( from here )

[ Even after she's removed the mask it still takes him several moments, but the mention of the coffee shop jogs his memory into recollection. ]

Ah, apologies...[ bird, bird, bird. aha! ]...Raven. You're right; it has been a while. That was shortly after I'd arrived here. [ a beat. ] I, er, appreciate that you didn't make me actually visit a rooftop.

Yeah. I recall you seemed pretty uneasy when I mentioned the rooftop. [So yes, in case you were still wondering, she had noticed.]

Maybe this is as good an opportunity as any to keep on with this conversation.
bratworth: (indulgent ♞ give it time)

[personal profile] bratworth 2012-12-13 01:05 am (UTC)(link)
[ He had been wondering... not that he makes his dislike of heights anything less than obvious. ]

I suppose so, yes. Then again, a lot can change in four months.

[personal profile] feel_nevermore 2012-12-13 01:13 am (UTC)(link)
True enough. Then maybe we could start this conversation again, from scratch.
bratworth: (logic ♞ this is just an observation)

[personal profile] bratworth 2012-12-13 01:23 am (UTC)(link)
I would be amenable to that. Where should we begin from?
feel_nevermore: (Sun)

[personal profile] feel_nevermore 2012-12-13 01:34 am (UTC)(link)
The Initiative, the government of United Earth, the transports... You pick one.
bratworth: (think ♞ if you ever feel neglected)

[personal profile] bratworth 2012-12-13 02:49 am (UTC)(link)
[ Well, there's something that could be said for each of those three categories, but it's the last that Edgeworth's finding most interesting right now, especially with watching everyone here interact, so, he goes with that. ]

Let's start with the transports, then.
feel_nevermore: (Sun)

[personal profile] feel_nevermore 2012-12-13 10:55 pm (UTC)(link)
[A nod.] Alright. You go first.
bratworth: (smarmy ♞ another page you will see)

[personal profile] bratworth 2012-12-15 04:47 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I think the most obvious thing to note would be that there are a lot more of us here than there were previously. I wonder why that is.
feel_nevermore: (Sun)

[personal profile] feel_nevermore 2012-12-17 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
Well that seems obvious. The Initiative has increased the recruitment rate. The failure of the last time missions and the bombing of Exsilium might have scared them even more and triggered that reaction.
bratworth: (think ♞ if you ever feel neglected)

[personal profile] bratworth 2012-12-18 01:30 am (UTC)(link)
You think that they can control the number of people who are brought into this reality? Just not the individuals themselves?
feel_nevermore: (Sun)

[personal profile] feel_nevermore 2012-12-19 03:43 pm (UTC)(link)
[A nod.] Sounds like a sensible hypothesis to me. I believe the government of United Earth had made sure that machine would allow them to control the quantity of resources they bring back here. I don't see why it couldn't work with individuals too.
bratworth: (hesitant ♞ when you can feel)

[personal profile] bratworth 2012-12-20 09:00 am (UTC)(link)
They must be planning something big, then, to start bringing in so many people at once. A pity that they cannot do more about the quality.
feel_nevermore: (Side glance)

[personal profile] feel_nevermore 2012-12-20 05:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Assuming the Initiative is actually capable of planning something remotely complex, at all. But yes, it would seem so.
bratworth: (chuckle ♞ you are so naive)

[personal profile] bratworth 2012-12-21 11:28 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm assuming you don't think much of the past missions, then?
feel_nevermore: (Who?)

Back from holidays! Happy new year!!!! 8D

[personal profile] feel_nevermore 2013-01-02 07:41 pm (UTC)(link)
That would be an understatement.
bratworth: (think ♞ if you ever feel neglected)

And I am likewise returned from hiatus! YOU TOO <3

[personal profile] bratworth 2013-01-04 11:54 pm (UTC)(link)
What, then, would be an improvement? [ A beat. ] The Initiative is hardly in a position to win an all-out war.
feel_nevermore: (Sun)

<3

[personal profile] feel_nevermore 2013-01-05 01:55 am (UTC)(link)
Well they could try and foresee the consequences of their time missions before initiating them, for instance.
bratworth: (state ♞ i drove the other ones away)

[personal profile] bratworth 2013-01-06 05:01 am (UTC)(link)
You don't think they do that already?
feel_nevermore: (Who?)

[personal profile] feel_nevermore 2013-01-06 05:28 am (UTC)(link)
It's not exactly what it looks like from where I'm standing.
bratworth: (hm ♞ dripping wet w/practised sincerity)

[personal profile] bratworth 2013-01-07 05:49 am (UTC)(link)
Personally, I think what the Initiative needs to give more consideration is all the things that can potentially go wrong.
feel_nevermore: (Who?)

[personal profile] feel_nevermore 2013-01-10 10:35 am (UTC)(link)
Tch. They wouldn't even know where to begin with.
bratworth: (think ♞ if you ever feel neglected)

[personal profile] bratworth 2013-01-11 09:59 am (UTC)(link)
It's not a simple task, no. But nothing about how they've chosen to go about this is simple.
feel_nevermore: (Sun)

[personal profile] feel_nevermore 2013-01-16 04:22 pm (UTC)(link)
They have a technology that allows them to time travel, and yet they keep rushing into things. Ironic, ain't it?
bratworth: (evasive ♞ i know how hard it can get)

[personal profile] bratworth 2013-01-16 05:26 pm (UTC)(link)
So what you're saying is that, technically, the Initiative has all the time in the world to get things done correctly?

(no subject)
